The Country Cottage at Gold Beach is a quaint lodging under ancient Cypress trees with views of the Rogue River. ....the Cottage is part of a historical property with a 1890 farmhouse. part of R D Hume's empire. The Cottage sleeps two comfortably, optimal for two adults -- with luxury linens. Spa shower,bathrobes, slippers, fully equipped kitchen, with quality cooking necessities . Open concept with Vintage Beach decor. Attached Redwood deck entered from the inside, with river view, equipped with gas grill & patio dining furniture.. Flat screen TV w/Dish cable.and Wi.Fi. Located on North Bank River Road, across from Lex's Landing boat launch for fishing on the Rogue. Only a three minute drive to town, the Jet boat trip and shopping. We have plenty of room to accommodate your boat/trailer. YES we are Pet friendly with a $30. One-time fee and our permission....well-behaved canine pals only-please. We'll have a dog bed, bowls and doggie beach towels!

Trip to Gold Beach

What a delightful place to relax and decompress. The hosts Patti and Rob couldn’t have been nicer. So happy to have our yummy breakfast delivered to our door in the AM ….& our dog Silver didn’t want to get off the dog bed that they provided for him… happy boy!Had a lovely time!Linda & Rick

Great weekend getaway!

My brother and I met her to spend the weekend. It was wonderful! The location is gorgeous, great access to lots of trails and beaches. The cottage was charming, hand painted, and breakfast was delicious. Wonderful hosts, would stay again!

Mybfirst thought, lovely [setting]. The host lives next door and greeted briefly with the info we'd need to get started. Told us she would deliver breakfast at 8:30 if that was okay. Breakfat was goirmet & delicious. The Cottage was perfect for the two odmf us and our dog. The outside deck was quiet and private. We had everything and more that we needed. We will return.

Perfect place

Great location for Jet boat rides and close to beach. Very comfortable cottage with all the necessities for a short two night stay! Great breakfasts! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Magical Garden

We loved the artistic decor-flowers,vines and trees on the walls. The colors were comforting. The breakfast was outstanding. It was very comfortable and kept growing on us. The shower was large, the bed comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with lovely little surprises everywhere. The owners were warm and welcoming. We will return!

Quaint cottage

The breakfasts and hosts were amazing! The cottage is very quaint. Blackout curtains would be a nice addition as the traffic from the boat launch across the street was a bit much every morning starting before 5 am.

Great place to experience the Southern Oregon Coast. Many suggestions available in the cottage, situated on the Rogue River. Super breakfast included.

Sweet Little Cottage

I can’t say enough about the hosts of this sweet little cottage. They responded to any little request within minutes! ADD THE BREAKFAST OPTION if offered! It’s a special and delicious treat delivered right to your door every morning at your requested time. The hosts are right next door but give you all the privacy you need or will carry a fantastic conversation should you be interested. Lots of little touches throughout your stay. We enjoyed our time and will be back!

First Time Gold Beach

Sweet accommodations. Can tell owners put their love into it. Part of a historical episode that can be discerned through information once there but would be good to advertise for the place. Love the giant Monterey Cypress of which the cottage is nestled into. Little stream off the back porch which is a wonderful attribute. The interior is great with unique wall paintings of trees and flowers. And, the breakfast brought to the door, is a definite plus! Recommended.

Comfy and relaxed

Just returned from a relaxing week at the cottage. Breakfasts were delicious, accommodating to my spouse’s preferences, and delivered right on time. Bed and linens are very comfortable, and there are plenty of fluffy towels. I appreciated that the shower area was large enough to easily wash the dog after our beach visits. Many thanks!

Sweet, charming, whimsical cottage near the Rogue River

This little cottage is a gem if you are looking for something out of the ordinary. The beautiful painted murels on the walls make you feel as if you are inside a Claude Monet masterpiece!!! Patti, the owner, is so nice, helpful, & caring and, she makes the best breakfasts, which are delivered to your door!!! One morning she made us a French Country Omelet and homemade blueberry bagels, the second morning it was Stuffed French Toast!!! Everything was so delicious!!! There are so many comforting/comfortable details in this cozy cottage: comfy bed with nice cotton sheets, lots of pillows & warm blankets; spacious, tiled shower with robes, slippers & plenty of towels! The kitchen area has everything you need to prepare a simple meal. For tea drinkers there is a kettle & a good selection of tea to choose from. We also enjoyed the lovely, private deck, as well!! We hope to stay again next time we are in Gold Beach! Thank you, Patti, for a lovely stay!!! P. S. We also recommend the Jerry's Jet Boat tours on the Rogue River. So much fun and just amazingly beautiful scenery. And a delicious meal at the lodge in Agness. However, do be prepared to get splashed with water...it is refreshing on a hot day!!!

Great location and cottage! The owners have thought of everything you might need during your stay. They were helpful and gave us options for things to do and see in the area. We would highly recommend this rental and will be visiting there again ourselves!

Pet Friendly and Thoughtfully Prepared

My husband and I, with our puppy, had a lovely stay at this well-equipped cottage. The owners thought of all the little things, that we might need. The decorations were charming, and the little deck of the cottage was wonderful for grilling and eating dinner...it was a lovely place to stay.

We really enjoyed our time here- the cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. We were greeted with freshly baked cookies! The bed is comfortable, the shower was great, and the breakfasts cooked by Patti were amazing. I definitely recommend staying here!

Our Happy Place

This was our third time at The Cottage. It is quaint, pleasant and very comfortable. However, what really makes The Cottage so special are the owners, Patti and Rob. And, you will be totally spoiled by the amazing breakfasts they provide you each morning.

The year 2000 was a monumental one for the Joyce family, moving from their home in Hawaii, heading for somewhere on the west coast. The goal, finding a property with 'history' suitable for a B&B. They dreamed of rural America and a slower pace. Few properties caught their eye until they came upon this one in Gold Beach. The old Victorian needed a lot of restoration which is Rob's expertise. Patti's background is in hospitality (CIA trained chef-45 years experience). She established and operated Rollin In Dough Bistro for 15 years.and she decided to try something new, retiring from full-time chef to proprietor of Country Cottage at Gold Beach.

The property has an interesting history as one of the original homes built in 1890 and the direct view of the Rogue River and Pacific ocean...This lovely quaint cottage is very comfortable and private. The proximity to the Rogue is ideal for boating and fishing..A welcoming deck is a perfect relaxing spot for morning coffee while watching the happenings on the river...in the evenings this is a great unwinding view suitable for a glass of wine and casual dinner.....
