Riviera Mexicana - Beach House

Beach life doesn't get any more cozy than a stay in Casa Las Conchas. A few steps from the patio puts you in the waves for a morning swim or stroll the golden sands of Playa de Oro. After the amusements of the ocean you can be back by the private pool in a flash to enjoy a meal and watch the boats crossing the bay.

Casa Las Conchas is the winter home of Jerry & Dorothy White. Jerry designed the home to reflect traditional Mexican architectural styles. When they are not using the home it is available for families or groups up to 9 persons.

Each of the 4 large bedrooms has air conditioning, a private bathroom, bedrooms 1-3 feature dual vanities and spacious walk in closets. All of the bedrooms are centered around a traditional open courtyard and a spacious central family room with and entertainment center. There is a formal dining area and spacious kitchen. Outside dining and lounging is available on the covered patio looking directly out on the bay.

The house has a large yard on the ocean side and pool for cooling off. From the yard a few steps across the sea wall puts you on the beach.

There is a WiFi connection to a 4Mb/s internet connection in the living room.

The house is completely furnished including linens and all kitchen utensils. The housekeeper works 6-days a week.

Casa Las Conchas

Great Stay! We enjoy very much casa Las Conchas. The house is specious and welcoming and very well located with a beautiful ocean view. The house needs minor repairs but that did not take away from our experience.I highly recommend it!!

We love this house and location

The house has a really great feel to it, with high ceilings, lots of open space for everyone to move around in and you feel like you are not on top of each other. We love the location, right on the beach. There is no need to carry all your stuff to and from the beach. We were there over Christmas, when it is very busy, but the location was right in between the super loud and busy parts of the beach so we did not feel overwhelmed with noise etc but we could easily walk (5 - 12 minutes along the beach) to the exciting, louder areas with restaurants.

Amazing Location

Overall great stay, and the location cannot be better. We enjoyed the ocean just in front of the house. The house seems a bit tired, but it has everything you need. One of my favorite things was to walk into a clean room right after Chayo was done with it. The AC in the rooms worked great and internet was also very good.

Great Location with Tired Home

A beautiful location on the beach with plenty of room and a wonderful view. The house keeper, Chayo, was very helpful and made us a couple wonderful meals. She also went to the grocery store with us the first day and she was very helpful with the shopping.The house itself was very tired and needs some maintenance. The master bedroom toilet seat was broken the entire 17 days we were there despite us mentioning it on day 2. The towels were plentiful but all very worn. The outdoor space was poorly maintained and we were unable to use the pool for 5 days because it didnā€™t get cleaned. The location is great but we expected more for the amount of money we paid. We have had good luck with VRBO in the past but this house did not meet the VRBO standards in our opinion.

Manzanillo- Casa las Conchas.

In General the house is well maintained, clean and organised. The main bedroom has a fault with the shower and needs also a chair is broken . The second room has a very good size however the mattresses need to be replaced, we did not sleep on the sofas but I will not recommend for someone to sleep on them (hard and uncomfortable). It seems like the third room was improvised or upgrade from maidens-room into a guest room, there are several faults in the room starting for the not door at the bathroom which it is straight in front of the main door, the pressure of the water it is weak and it makes impossible to have a proper shower. The kitchen is well equipped, missing a coffee maker (an Italian expresso mocha its available) having Sra Chayo in the kitchen was a really good idea unfortunately she arrives at 9:00 and leaves at 15:00 (a dishwasher it is available) The swim pool was clean and cold, as there is not heating system despite the 26C in December the water was pretty cold most of the time. In general I will say overpriced for what you get, also by comparing to similar properties on the same street.

Nice but very hot.

Upon arrival, we were really impressed. It is a large beautiful home right on the beach. The backyard was nicely landscaped. The pool was warm and private. However, the water was cloudy and dirty. It had many bugs, spiders and crabs in it. Once the man came to clean it, it was better. It would be a good idea if there were a pool surface skimmer available because the man only comes in the morning and the rest of the day bugs fill the water and you don't have anything to get them out. Perhaps we came at the wrong time of the years as it was very hot and humid. The house had many windows but there was no breeze or air coming through the windows except when a storm passed though. During the day we were mostly outside and it wasn't too bad because you could cool off in the water. At night you had to stay inside as the mosquitos were very bad. It was difficult to sleep even with all the windows open. We were also disappointed that the beach was public and many people set up umbrellas, Etc. right behind the house. There were many screaming children and loud music everyday. We rented this house thinking it would be quiet and private. It was my fault I didn't check to see if there was any air conditioning. If the heat, humidity, and noise are not a problem for you then I would highly recommend this property. It is a beautiful place and well equipped with everything you need. but we would never rent it again only because it was so hot inside the house. We could even tolerate the noise, but when you are just sitting and watching TV and sweat is running down your face, well that's just not my idea of a good vacation. I think if the owner would install split wall air conditions many people would rent again, including me.

Unas vacaciones increĆ­bles

Una casa muy bonita, ubicada en un lugar muy tranquilo y seguro, con acceso directo a una playa muy agradable en donde se puede nadar en el mar, las recƔmaras son amplias con baƱo completo, la cocina muy agradable, la estancia perfecta para descansar, el Ɣrea exterior padrƭsima con una alberca que se disfruta al mƔximo, pasamos unos dƭas maravillosos!.. OjalƔ que todos los huƩspedes respeten y cuiden la propiedad para que se mantenga en buenas condiciones... Gracias por todo a Thomas y a Chayo.

Great location! Beautifully maintained!

The lack of AC was something we went in knowing about so this is not a complaint. But between when we booked and when we got there the temperature changed for the heat dramatically. We have friends in town who brought us fans. Without that, it would have been a killer!

Estancia en casa las conchas

En general la estancia fue buena la casa tiene muchos detalles que demeritan la ubicaciĆ³n primero los cuartos no tienen aire acondicionado mucho menos toda la casa, no tiene asador es una construcciĆ³n vieja y le falta mantenimiento,,, las puertas de las recĆ”maras No tiene seguro y los baƱos tampoco tiene puertas es incĆ³modo la alberca es solo para adultos que sepan nadar estĆ” bien la casa pero necesita muchos arreglos

Un gran lugar para disfrurar!!

Casa Las Conchas es un lugar mĆ”gico, con mucha amplitud, una gran cocina y 4 habitaciones totalmente independientes todas con baƱo privado. Para mi gusto, la amplitud y estilo arquitectĆ³nico hacen que no se requiera el aire acondicionado por lo que se disfruta naturalmente. El jardĆ­n y alberca son la entrada al mar lo que lo hace realmente cĆ³modo. Chayo nos atendiĆ³ muy bien y oriento sobre las actividades en la zona. Pasamos unas vacaciones familiares maravillosas.

Our experience was wonderful, if you are looking to relax with your family in a nice and quiet place this house is great. It has a very nice and bit kitchen and everything you need for a very pleacent stay.

My opinion related my stay in las conchas at manzanillo.

In general the house is OK, it needs urgently air conditioning. It has a neightboors that are a naightmare, since noon, untill 1 or 2 in the morning is very, very stressfull trying to sleep and have a good rest. if you mix the heat, the humidity and the noise of the neighboorsĀ“s music (Electronic music: punchis, punchis). wow. I used the vigilants to help with the neighboors, but once they had gone, the people starts again with the music. I will not attend again and not rcomending. Regards, Jorge Rios Ortiz.

Wonderful home. Perfect location

Our family gathered for vacation at this wonderful home It was perfect. We loved having meals on the patio overlooking the ocean. We loved sitting at the edge of the lawn and watching the kids enjoy the surf. We loved body surfing and boogie boarding in the gentle waves. We loved gathering In the pool for wonderful morning, afternoon and evening swims. The kitchen was very well stocked. We loved cooking in a kitchen big enough so we could all do our part in the meal prep. Chayo and Liddy were wonderful. They kept the house in tip top shape and prepared wonderful meals and snacks. They even helped out by assisting with cab arrangements and other times that we needed a someone with a better understanding of the language. The beds were comfortable. The grandsons loved having wifi and the guys enjoyed keeping up with March Madness. Mrs. White met us on our arrival day and took us shopping and to breakfast. What a treat. We were so grateful for her guidance. The owners went out of their way to meet our every need. Thanks for giving us the base for a very memorable family vacation.
