Excellent property in Kahana

The Vitamin Sea condo at The Kahana Reef was the perfect place to stay! Clean, great accommodations, perfect location. We will be staying here again!

Beautiful, clean condo with an amazing view!

The condo was perfectly located, the lanai is right over the ocean with beautiful views of the sunset and sea turtles in the surf. Set in a great location within walking distance of a lovely coffee house (Hawai'ian Village Coffee). We loved every minute of our stay here.

Condo is in perfect condition with spectacular views.Coffeemaker carafe wrong size, need to lift it up to release the coffee from the basket.

Pleasant location

Quiet complex not far from many activities. Lanai was almost on top of the water with spectacular views. Kitchen was well equipped. Even with no A/C the trade winds provided nice air flow. Bedroom noise from the street and parking lot could be a bit loud in the early am. Choose to sleep on the pull out couch bed and listen to the ocean all night.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed in several rooms at kahana reef over the past 12 years. This room was very nice. The view from the lanai was great. I do wish there was a mat for shoes outside to cut down on sand in the condo.biggwr coffee mugs would be nice and mostly a 2 way lighted make up mirror for us older women with not so good eyes.there was also no scissors to cut open the coffee bags and an upgrade on the coffee pot would be great.the ceiling fan in the bathroom has a gaping hole. The bed was very comfortable. Overall I would recommend this unit. Thankyou for another great stay in maui.

Oceanfront location is perfection

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You cant beat the location at Kahuna Reef, the lanai literally hangs over the ocean. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning with our coffee. The bed was very comfortable, slept extremely well. The kitchen was well stocked. It was a short walk to the local coffee shop. By keeping all the windows and lanai door open, not have air conditioning wasn't an issue. This is the only beach vacation rental I've stayed in that didn't provide beach chairs, towels, and a cooler. We could have rented towels but ended up buying some at Walmart. Also, we rented beach chairs and a cooler which we were reimbursed for which I appreciated. I should have paid more attention to the construction notice because if I realized how much was going on I wouldn't have picked Kahana Reef. The noise was so loud that we left each day to avoid it.

Awesome ocean view condo!

We had an awesome week at this property. The building is quiet and close to some markets and restaurants. It’s a bit of a drive from other areas of Maui but it was a perfect relaxing week and the view was incredible!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is one of several condos we have stayed in at Kahana Reef. The location is perfect. Met some of the lovely full time residents who are always so nice. It is a very quiet complex with an amazing view of sunsets, turtles, kite surfing and beauty! the only issue we had was the wi-fi wouldn't connect the first few days, maintenance tried to fix it immediately though. It worked much better after the first week for an unknown reason.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental reserved was cancelled 2 weeks before arrival. Effort to find a like replacement fell short. Did not have air conditioning or laundry in unit. Attempt for portable air was not available in bedroom which was needed. No concierge and office had sign saying it was not a working office. Laundry facilities outside and had to run through rain to use with very limited hours. Unit was clean but common property fell short (carpet).

We were staying in the same unit at almost the same time 4 years ago in 2018 when the Hawaiian Missile Crisis occurred. Decided to celebrate we were still alive 4 years later.

Reviewer Comments: We visited with my husband in Mid January, the weather was Ok, accept for the High Surf advisory that contributed to more waves then usual and less visibility of passing by turtles. Nevertheless we were able to spot some humpback whales through the binocular every morning. the views from the lanai on Moloka'i island are spectacular and memorable, great spot for the sunsets even though you don't see the sun dip directly into the water as Lana'i island covers it before the actual sunset.Overall the complex was quiet, available parking spots, close driving distance to some great beaches and hikes. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Amazing views, clean and updated

The unit is clean, newly renovated with amazing ocean views. The whales were plentiful and could be seen right outside the lanai. The unit needs some upgrades with regard to tools, utensils in the kitchen. But with time I am sure it will become well appointed. Enjoyed our stay very much! Aloha and Mahalo

Surf's Up!

We loved staying here. We took our surfboards out every day and paddled only a few metres away to see of the finest surfing on the island. Yay! Dolphins and whales and a view of Molokai sweetened the deal. Great!
