**Contact us for up-to-date information on Resort Concrete Repair Project Now into 2022 & Individual Unit improvements currently taking place at The Mahana.**

Spalling/Concrete Repair Notice for the Molokai Building at Mahana: Makai (Ocean side) repairs continue into mid-May 2021. Work on the Mauka (mountain) side of the building will go into late-June 2021 but is less disruptive to rental operations and does not impact views from the units.

Ocean front on North Ka'anapali beach. An ocean front bedroom allows for a greater view in this nicely appointed unit. Watch TV in the living room or in the bedroom. Full bathroom remodeled with large walk-in shower and tile flooring was completed in July 2012. An in-room safe provides a secure place for your belongings.

Maui stay

The condo had a spectacular view and a fantastic location. We enjoyed the view every day while having coffee on the lanai. We were very dissatisfied with the cleanliness. The window had a big hand and body print on it and nothing to clean it with. We had to buy glass cleaner and clean it out self along with the glass railing on the lanai. The table on the lanai had several cracks in it. The floors were also dirty and nothing to clean it with. There were no beach towels and the dryer barely worked. It took several turns for the clothes to dry. The condo had bare minimum of stuff. We did not read the reviews ahead of time which was our own fault. Hopefully the company will make an effort to clean and make the condo a better place to stay. It could easily be done with that view the condo has to offer. Rob and Pia

roaches/added monthly fees from chasenrainbows

My main complaint were the roaches and musty smell of the property. Since I am chemically sensitive I was concerned that they would spray pesticide in my unit and I would be miserable. I let Chasin Rainbows know about my stay and they said you should have let us know, fair enough, however, they have been charging me a fee monthly for service. I have know idea what that is. The place was not clean when I arrived so I cleaned it myself. There was mold in the bathroom sink at the faucet, the balcony floor was filthy and so were the tables. The windows had handprints. There were tiny baby roaches in the bathroom and when I opened the dishwasher at the end of my stay a giant roach crawled out and disappeared and that's when I noticed roach traps in the kitchen between cabinets. I didn't want to ruin my busy schedule with maintenance coming in and out of my unit so I just gave them the heads up about what I observed. All the the linens in the closet smelled like a moldy smell. It's a beautiful place the Mahana. I got married there and have enjoyed my stay, however, never had a problem with roaches. I am disappointed, however, one must always be happy in Maui, so I made the best of it. Now I'm being charged a monthly service fee from Chase n Rainbows and for what?????

You can find better

We have stayed at this complex for 17 years and never have we had such a poor condo we stayed in. The bed was broken and held up by paint cans and books. There was bird poop and black mold all over the lanai. The shower had mildew all over the floor. Tried to reach out to owner with no response. Waste of money for this trip. Not pleased.

Filthy property, dishonest management

The condo has a great ocean view as advertised but it’s all downhill from there. Upon arrival after a long day of travel, we found the door open and the condo was filthy. Dirty greasy dishes in the cupboard, floors that had clearly not been swept nor vacuumed (crumbs, dirt, other people’s hair, etc.) and handprints all over the windows and glass table top. Bedsheets were torn and there were wet items in the closet. We wound up spending hours into the night cleaning with the Chlorox wipes we had brought along for sanitizing the airplane and rental car as no other cleaning supplies were available. We called housekeeping the following morning who offered a “re-clean” but who wants these people in your place when you are on vacation? We did not feel comfortable having them come when we were not there because the safe did not work. Housekeeping did drop off fresh linens but no cleaning materials like we requested. When I finally connected with the property manager three days into our stay (evidently no mangers are available over the weekend) Jason said all the right things and offered a refund on the $200 cleaning charge but that did not happen. They did however drop off $30 worth of macadamia nuts, which is a nice gesture but not what we agreed to. I have since followed up with him twice by email and phone (regarding the refund) but he has ghosted me. It’s more than one week since we checked out so evidently they lied about refunding the cleaning fee.

Wonderful views

Really enjoyed seeing the turtles from the balcony in the afternoon, the overall comfort, and the accessibility of the location. Won't hesitate to come back!

Mice invested and lots of cockroaches!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have never stayed in this unit before. But we have stayed many times in Chasing Rainbow‘s other units which we have enjoyed. We have sent many people and family members over to Chasing Rainbow‘s also. We were very surprised when we got there and there was like not some of the basics that are always in the condos like salt and pepper sometimes oil just a few of the basic seasonings. so we went out and we bought some. Well, after the first few days we started notice mice droppings all around the front window and the sliding glass door I kept cleaning them up. They just continue to get worse and worse. We started seeing cockroaches even in the dishwasher. The last couple days were horrid. We had to wear our flip-flops because Mike drop mice droppings were all over the floors. It was so disgusting. I never saw any mice droppings in the bedroom or the bathroom just in that front room. We were very unhappy with that. When the guy came to clean the condo when we were leaving on Thursday we brought him in and showed him and he was outraged. His eyes just bugged. I pulled back the curtains and showed them all the hundreds and hundreds of mice droppings everywhere I couldn’t even keep up with them. And he was going to report it to you and I have already done so but I haven’t heard anything from you so this is my second time that you’ve out reached me and I’m going to tell you the same story . We have definitely been thinking about this and the $7000 that we paid for this condo. We feel like that we should at least get a couple of nights credit for all the mice **** we had to sweep up every day. We did not want to be removed from the home because it’s our anniversary and we just thought we would try to deal with it but the last couple days were just incredibly bad. So I just feel like that’s probably why they didn’t have anything in the cupboards cause I didn’t wanna attract any mice and any cockroaches

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was pretty basic. With an amazing oceanfront view!! Just steps to the beach and can walk for miles along the beach. We saw turtles out front from lanai and also whales, several times. BUT... No spices, or salt and pepper. No pot holders. Would be so nice to have there already. Some suggestions: bag clips for chips. Shampoo and conditioner for at least the first day. Ice trays since there isn’t an ice machine at hotel at this time. A cooler would be great. And beach towels would be so nice as well. Overall very nice place. Just some basic upgrades and photos on the walls would make the place MAGNIFICENT!!

Wonderful!

Unit exceeded my expectation! My only issue was related to the code to get in and the ‘Hospitality’ App that was sent. Once I downloaded the App and saw there was a spot in the App where it referenced the code to get into the unit being available, I focused on that instead of the apparent email that had the code. (Recommendation - if you aren’t going to use the App as intended, then please don’t send the App to future guests. That was a bit frustrating of an experience.) Would absolutely recommend this unit. I can’t speak for others who have commented, but there were toiletries included. In fact, everything you need was included. Wish we would have known, so we could have downsized some of what we packed. Views were amazing! Missed whale season but could see sea turtles swimming in the waters below. Island of Lanai to the left and Molokai to the right. Sunsets were amazing! Going to miss you Maui! Mahalo!

Great getaway

Checkin is super smooth especially after hours. Location is amazing. Love that area and great beach access. Short drive to great snorkeling and restaurants. Can walk to the food trucks. Bring your own toiletries bc nothing was really there. Otherwise no complaints.

Great spot for relaxing

This condo had the most incredible views. We saw whales in the distance watched the sun set and listened to the ocean waves all night. It was a short walk or drive to many places In Lahaina. We would definitely stay at this place again.

Beautiful view. Fun to watch the whales.

This is a great property for whale watching. We saw whales every day. The grounds and area are very well maintained. There is plenty of great restaurants and stores nearby. The condo could use some updated furniture and a good cleaning. The ant problem is out of control and we are very neat and clean. There were ants in the dishwasher as well as the cabinets. I think this is more of a pest control problem then just keeping food and dishes cleaned up. Other than that, we had a great experience and would rent this condo again!

Whale watching

We loved the walls of windows. We felt part of the ocean with the closeness this condo provided. It was whale season and part of each day was spent watching these beauties cavort so close to us.

We really enjoyed our stay and the view we had from the living room and balcony were unmatched to any hotel stay we ever had. The place was well stocked and clean. I would stay here again for sure.

It's a great place

A great view, plenty of room & a very nice kitchen. The bed is very comfortable. The furniture in the dining room & living room area is all very uncomfortable however which is unfortunate. Plastic covered chairs for the dining room table, a really cheap hide-a-bed and a couple other chairs that were uncomfortable as well. We still really enjoyed our stay.
