Grand Haven apartment description
Our 100+ year-old quaint, two-family home is located 2 blocks from Grand River waterfront and two blocks from all the shops and the parade route for Grand Haven's nationally recognized Coast Guard Festival during the last week of July and the first week of August. The bigger lower bedroom has a queen bed, the second lower bedroom features a twin/queen bunk bed. The couch in the lower living room makes into a bed. Hardwood floors, bathroom with tub/shower, kitchen, main floor laundry and a porch for sipping morning coffee or sharing the day's events over a glass of wine at 5. The upstairs apartment has a kitchen, living room, one bedroom and one bathroom and sleeps 2 in a queen size bed. With a max occupancy of four, we offer a blow-up mattress to sleep two more.

If your party is four or less, ask about renting only the lower unit or the upper unit serperately.

Canā€™t say enough about this wonderful property! Hosts provide detailed and thoughtful information, darling home is clean and stocked with everything our family needed, and the location is just perfect for a quick walk to all of the restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back!!

The house was perfect for our growing family with grandbabies and space for my married daughter and son-in-law and two grandsons as well as our adult daughter who stayed in the guest room downstairs. It was nice to all be together but have separate space as well. The location to the downtown area boardwalk area was perfect and the house was charming and had everything that we needed. We would definitely recommend this house and the hosts were easy to communicate with and answered our questions promptly.

Great location for price

Older home, 2 bedrooms first floor, 3rd bedroom in small apartment upstairs accessible within house, bedrooms have window air conditioners and ceiling fans, kitchen and living room downstairs were warm but we picked up a fan and that helped living room has ceiling fan as well, and has a nice and private front porch. Overall good place to stay for a decent price. Close to downtown shopping which we did and not far to get to river channel or lake and we visited both those as well.

Great Grand Haven Stay!

Absolutely wonderful rental home! We rented both upstairs and downstairs apartments for our 6 adults & 2 teens. Very clean house and well stocked. And so conveniently located for walking to downtown and pier. Would definitely stay here again.

Utterly perfect

This was the second time we stayed here, and it was probably the best experience weā€™ve ever had at Grand Haven. The house was charming and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone. The front porch was a focal point of our stay, as we spent most mornings and evenings sitting in the shade. It was a few blocks from both the river and downtown, so we could walk everywhere. We will definitely be staying again,

Good location. Walking distance to lots of things. Clean. Nice outside porch. Nice upstairs apartment. Owners quick to respond. WARNING: very uneven floors if you have balance problems, sensory issues or neuropathy. Very old house. Oven downstairs does not show the temperature for cooking. Slight gas smell upstairs. We did not use AC due to mild weather but house really heated up during the day.

Great Stay in Grand Haven, Michigan

We loved the location. We could easily walk to the fun Downtown section and also to the Riverwalk, pier & lighthouse, & the beach! The house was great. We had the upper & lower stories because we were so many. Two bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 sitting areas and a wonderful front porch! It was well stocked with everything we needed. Even local coffee and specialty soap. We loved it! šŸ˜Š We would stay here again! Thank you!

Nice house for a family vacation

We shared many evenings on the front porch with our family. The house accommodated us pretty well, it would have been nice to have 1 bedroom with twin beds . There was a gas grill available, but could have had additional glassware and cutlery, as we cooked for the group staying. The upstairs unit is only accessible from the outside. The location is walking distance to the downtown, but not to the beach.

Convenient Location, Quirky House

I recently stayed at this house for three nights. The location is excellentā€”just a 5-10 minute walk to downtown and the canal boardwalk. The house is old, with uneven floors and squeaky spots, and steep stairs to the upper level, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues. The layout has some drawbacks: one bedroom is next to the kitchen, making it noisy for kids, and another seems to be a converted dining room. Beds varied in comfort; one was particularly uncomfortable due to a plastic mattress cover. The small kitchen is well-stocked with utensils and cookware but lacks spices, oil, and vinegar. The kitchen and bathroom could be cleaner. We were also asked to start a load of laundry with towels and remove sheets and pillowcases before departure, which was unusual compared to other rentals. The AC units worked ok but quite loud, and light switches, outlets, and fans were sometimes tricky to figure out. Overall, the price seemed high for what we received, though we did book last minute. Despite the quirks, the location was great, but weā€™ll likely choose another place for our next Grand Haven visit.

The house had everything we were looking for. My boys and I have been traveling to Grand Haven for 7 years and this was one of our favorites. The house is two blocks from town and the entire home was ours to use.

Quirky House in Grand Haven

House is as described. Loved it for the space for 2 families and the location. Itā€™s an old house, slanted floors, and older ā€œbonesā€. Nice to have a washer / dryer on site to wash towels / bathing suits after a day at the beach. Will stay again.

Our vacation in Grand Haven

This rental has so much charm! Itā€™s only a couple blocks from downtown ,we rented both section as there were 8 of us and it was very comfortable! It was clean, had several dishes and everything needed and was exactly like the description! We wouldnā€™t hesitate to stay there again!!!ā€™

We have been here a week and have totally enjoyed our stay

We are staying here for another week. We had family come for a week, from Massachusetts, and everyone had a place to sleep and room to roam. There were 5 adults and 3 teenagers. Itā€™s a charming home! Close to everything!

Fabulous property

We stayed for soccer in the sand. The location was perfect walking distance to downtown. The property was immaculate and we had everything we needed for the weekend. We will be booking this property again for our stay next year.

Great Location

We had a great experience at this property. It had everything we needed. The location is just a short walk to many shops and restaurants. It is a cute older home. Be warmed though if you have any mobility issues this house will not be the best option and definitely don't use the upstairs. The old house was very un-level with some tight corners, but it didn't effect our group or our stay. Would recommend!

Great stay with minor issues

We loved our stay and would mostly recommend this location. We do have 2 complaints. First, the bed in the front room on the first floor was incredibly uncomfortable. I almost wish I had given the pull out couch a chance instead. Secondly, the fans in both bathrooms did not work. It was still a very nice visit though.

Recently purchasing a condo downtown Grand Haven as our permanent residence, we couldn't resist purchasing this quaint house for friends, family and you to rent.
