In the earth of Monteverde/Trastevere, few steps from the historical centre, this apartment is a garden flat in the basement of a liberty villa. It is bright and quiet, because the windows overlook the garden. It's composed by a living room with a double sofa bed, a double room with an added single bed (cm.90 x cm.190), an accessorized kitchen, a bathroom with shower. ADSL Wireless free-connection, central heating system, air conditioning (not included in rental price), TV, microwave (on request we can add a crib -free of charges).

Completely restructured in 2019 and furnished with taste and care. A beautiful private garden with table and chairs to allow to the guests to have brekfast (or dinner) out door in spring and summer.
Private parking on request (not icluded in rental price - price 7 euro/day).
Touristic tax (not included) is 5 euro/day per person.
Even if the house is slightly basement all windows look out onto the garden, ensuring both the brightness and silence.
The district in which it is located is a true oasis of tranquility close to the characteristic neighborhood of Trastevere with its folklore and its nightlife. Staying here you can rest having, at the same time, the city in your hand.

Sapere che i nostri ospiti hanno apprezzato il nostro appartamento ci rende felici. Nice place, poor follow up of issues

The location is great, the room is great. But the follow up of issues is very poor, even after many messages. First of all, we arrived around 15 minutes after midnight due to some issues at the airport. After 19:30 we have to pay additional costs for check in and after midnight even more! From a kind of hospitality policy this isn’t a nice start as we arrived just 15 minutes too late. But more worse is the problem with the warm water. My girlfriend couldn’t take a shower because the water was cold. A plumber had been asked to fix the problem but still cold water. We asked the owner to fix it several times but nothing happened. After we checked out we asked the owner to contact us, but until now she didn’t reply. Very poor service.

Due to my not having an international calling plan I was unable to get in touch with the assistant that was to let me in to the rental upon arrival. When I did not hear back from the assistant I used the call box to ask for help from a neighbor living on the premises who said she would get in touch with the woman needed to speak to in order to be let in. After sitting on the street across from the property for over 2 hours, the woman I spoke to earlier finally appeared with some keys and offered to help me with my things. The whole arrangement was very unorganized being that these people had no back up plan for my arrival say there were to be a communication issue which ended up being the case. The fact that someone lived on the property had the ability to let me in and yet nothing had been put in place were I to show up for a rental I had paid in advance for is beyond incomprehensible, especially for a visiting tourist unfamiliar with the area.Then while I was out after being told I would be charged extra for use of the air conditioner Danila's assistant Luna went in when I was out to remove the remote's and open my windows. My gawd! What a sneaky thing to do. And then when I mentioned that I noticed this and that I didn't want anyone in the place when I wasn't around I was responded to with a "Don't worry, no one is going to disturb your privacy"? What a joke! The only decent thing about my stay was the kind woman"Mirela"living on the property.

This apartment promised a lot of potential but was let down by mosquitos breeding in open drains directly outside the door and only window of the place. There were no screens on either the door or window, making it impossible to get any fresh air into the place. When the mosquito problem was raised with the host, we suggested free aircon (which we didn't get) together with repellent (which we did get). Rome's hot weather made this flat hot and stuffy and thus uncomfortable to live in. We couldn't even enjoy the garden outside without being eaten alive (the repellent was ineffective)! Apart from this, the apartment was a good size. The kitchen facilities were very basic-the hot plates were rusty (but still worked), the bread knife was broken and only basic cutlery/crockery was supplied. No condiments at all (not even salt). The hot water was barely tepid to start with but after contacting the owner this improved. We were looking forward to our stay here but felt badly let down as the mozzie problem could be easily improved upon by installing screens for the door and window and covering the drains.

clean and very comfortable, we had a good time

Nice place, clean, furnished with care and a personal touch. We particularly appreciated the garden, a peaceful place to relax and dine. The area is green and peaceful, but close to the center and well connected. All and all, a very pleasant place to stay, we would come back for sure.

bellissima zona, molto gentili

L’appartamento ci è piaciuto molto, comodo luminoso, soprattutto il giardino è davvero bello. Quello che abbiamo apprezzato in particolare è la zona: via tranquilla e immersa nel verde, sembra di stare in un paese, però comoda e vicinissima al centro. Siamo stati tante volte a Roma ma sempre in zone più caotiche e trafficate, qui ci siamo davvero rilassati. La proprietaria davvero molto gentile e disponibile, avevamo apprezzato dei fiori in guardino e lei ci ha fatto avere dei bulbi da piantare nel nostro terrazzo, non era dovuto e l’abbiamo molto apprezzato.

E' bello sapere che gli ospiti si sono trovati bene. Da parte nostra facciamo sempre del nostro meglio, siamo contenti che abbiano apprezzato l'appartamento, e, soprattutto, la posizione, che è veramente la cosa più "preziosa" di questo appartamento che si trova in una via tranquilla e piena di verde, ma nel centro di Roma.

la ubicación es buena. el barrio tranquilo y sin ruidos.esta en la zona alta del barrio trastevere. se puede aparcar tu propio coche sin problemas.. transporte para el centro de roma cerca (estación trastevere, autobús y tranvía). atención por la propietaria excelente. Información de acceso y establecimientos de la zona buena. como en las fotos. wify bien. limpieza bien. útiles de cocina bien. ropa de cama y toallas bien. recomiendo llevar repelente contra mosquitos. el apartamento esta en un bajo, aunque bien ventilado. volvería.

Les défauts signalés depuis 2005 sont toujours présents, plaques de cuisson rouillées et inefficaces, vaisselle et ustensiles de cuisine très sommaires et en mauvais état, la même chose pour la salle de bain, mauvaises odeurs, propreté douteuse, serrure de la porte cassée, aération de la chambre cassée donc invasion de moustiques. En plus des travaux dans la rue et dans la maison toute la semaine dès 8 heures, pas de tram 8 en fonctionnement non plus. Heureusement Rome est une ville magnifique mais je ne conseille pas du tout cette location

Building Site

We arrived on Monday 18th May 2015 to find that we were in the middle of a building site. There is extensive building works going on surrounding the whole house. I think we should been advise of this in advance and offered a reduction in price. We raised our concerns on day 2 and 4 of our holiday but still the builders started drilling at 8:00am. The most dissapointing aspect was that my concerns were not answered by the owner. The builders manage to cause the hot water to be switched off one day that was fixed later in the day via the owner. The location is very good. We found it a bit dark inside the property as there is only one window and one glass door for natural light. Also, the kitchen equipment could of a higher standard. The garden has potential but not while it is a building site. Final point, the one window has a vent in it that is broken and cannot be shut allowing insects to come and go as they please.

Nett mit kleinen Fehlern

Die Wohnung ist insgesamt nett - Größe wie Einrichtung. Nahe zum Bahnhof Trastevere und zu Bus und Straßenbahn in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße mit herrlichen Häusern gelegen. Kontakt zur Vermieterin war jederzeit gegeben. Allerdings bei Ankunft nicht besonders sauber, da wir offensichtlich die Ersten der neuen Saison waren. Ziemlich schlimm war jedoch die Küche, die Herdplatten verrostet, die Spüle schmuddelig und ebenso das Geschirr/Besteck. Außerdem hat es in der fensterlosen Küche muffig gerochen. Überhaupt war im Internet nicht erkennbar, dass es sich um eine (kühle) Souterrain-Wohnung handelt. Das Türschloss war defekt, ebenso das Torschloss zum Haus. Den nächtlich bellenden Wachhund hat man auf unsere Bitte in's Haus geholt. Etwas sauberer würden wir sicher wieder dort wohnen wollen.

A romantic escape

The place was cozy quiet and very romantic, we were very lazy and slept and stood indoor until very late in the morning without being disturbed. Even though it was winter, it was warm enough to have breakfast in the lovely garden end enjoy some sunshine. I’d suggest it to a couple looking for a romantic escape.

ANDIAMO MOLTO SPESSO A ROMA E QUESTA VOLTA MI SONO APPOGGIATA AD HOME HOLIDAY PER TROVARE SISTEMAZIONE E DEVO DIRE CHE CI SIAMO TROVATI DAVVERO BENE, APPARTAMENTO COME DESCRITTO, IN ZONA MOLTO BEN SERVITA, CON LA NUOVA LINEA 8 SI ARRIVA IN POCHISSIMO TEMPO A PIAZZA VENEZIA. ZONA MOLTO TRANQUILLA. LA CASA è PULITA E ACCOGLIENTE, NON MANCA NULLA. IO HO SOGGIORNATO CON MIO MARITO E DUE BAMBINI DI 7 E 10 ANNI E NON ABBIAMO AVUTO NESSUN TIPO DI PROBLEMA, CUCINA FUNZIONALE IN TUTTO. LA CONSIGLIO A CHIUNQUE, VISTO ANCHE IL PREZZO CONTENUTO...NOI LA RIUSEREMO SICURAMENTE PER FUTURI SOGGIORNI. LA SIG.RA DANILA MOLTO GENTILE E DISPONIBILE COME ANCHE LA SIG. ADA.

Happyend auf Umwegen

Wir suchten lange nach eine Wohnung in Rom, hier schien alles perfekt! Ruhige Lage, gut angebunden, charmant eingerichtet... auf nach Rom! Die grosse Enttäuschung: ein Wasserschaden im Haus an dem Tag. Man wartete auf den Klempner, es war nicht klar, wie lange es dauern würde. Gut, dass man uns gleich eine Alternative anbieten konnte! Diese betrachteten wir zuerst sehr skeptisch, zumal noch zwei Tram-Stationen weiter weg.... und hatten die Option, in diese original bebuchte Wohnung zurückkehren zu können, wenn der Schaden behoben ist. Kurzum: wir blieben in der Alternative und arrangierten uns mit Frau Danila. Die Woche war toll, die Wohnung ruhig, sehr angenehm und sauber. Es ist alles da, um unkomplizierte Tage zu verbringen. Insofern kann ich zu dieser Wohnung vorwiegend die Vermieter als solches empfehlen. Geschmackvolle Räume, nicht zuviel Deko und doch charmant - sauber und gepflegt. Auf Wünsche wird schnell reagiert, das Kundenwohl steht echt im Vordergrund. DANKE nochmal und auf bald! Beste Grüsse aus Berlin

"La estadía resultó excel...

"La estadía resultó excelente, el lugar es estéticamente soñado. Todo está limpio y funciona. Las fotos son exactas con la realidad. Las personas que nos atendieron fueron muy amables. Si bien está un poco alejado del centro, para descansar, después de la intensidad de la ciudad es ideal. Tiene medios de transporte cerca. Es un poco confuso entender como acceder al principio. Hay supermercados y otros negocios muy cerca. Si volviera a Roma nos volveríamos a hospedar allí."

"L''appartamento è molto gradevole, accogliente e silenzioso; la posizione è comodissima da raggiungere a piedi sia dalla metro leggera (n.8 e n. 3) che dalla stazione ferroviaria (Trastevere). Ristoranti, bar, banche supermercati e farmacie sono raggiungibili a piedi. L’appartamento è attrezzato e pulito e la zona è tranquillissima." La signora Ada è gentilissima e disponibile. Abbiamo trascorso una buona vacanza. "

"L''appartamento è ottima...

"L''appartamento è ottimamente situato per i turisti. In poche fermate di un tram molto frequente si arriva in centro; inoltre si arriva comodamente a piedi a Trastevere, Testaccio, Gianicolo. E di corsa a Doria Panphilii, per la corsa mattutina. Comodissimo supermercato e negozi a fianco, per noi che avevamo figli. L''interno è ristrutturato veramente con gusto, è accogliente e romantico. Bellissimo il legno per terra su cui i bimbi hanno giocato tanto. Unica piccola nota sulle attrezzature: scarseggiano i poccoli elettrodomestici come aspirapolvere, asciugacapelli, spremiagrumi, solo due fuochi cucina. Ma si sta benissimo comunque.."

"The place was really nic...

"The place was really nice. The apartment really clean and cozy, with an ancient stone fireplace, lovely furniture, even some antique piece. We had use of the lovely garden and had breakfast outside cause, although it was November, in the morning was very warm and sunny. We also loved the area, the apartment was situated in a tiny quiet street of small houses with garden, very characteristic we found, and was a nice refuge at the end of a frantic day."

Per ovviare ai problemi di umidità presenti vi è un deumidificatore nel bagno un po rumorose che la notte va spento. Attrezzatura cucina da rivedere e migliorare. La posizione per arrivare al centro è ottima la fermata del tram a pochi passi ed anche per parcheggiare l''auto in strada non è un problema. Noi che avevamo un passeggino ci siamo trovati bene con il tram per i collegamenti con il centro."

"Originale alloggio in un...

"Originale alloggio in una zona residenziale e tranquilla della capitale, ottimamente collegato con il centro. Penalizzati il bagno e specialmente la cucina dove non vi è alcuna finestra. Abbastanza carente l'attrezzatura per cucinare. L'alloggio che, viste le sue originali peculiarità di arredamento e di elementi architettonici, potrebbe risultare quasi da rivista, è penalizzato, oltre che dai due ambienti ciechi, anche da una mancata manutenzione molto spicciola che lo renderebbe sicuramente più piacevole all'abitazione."

I like to meet people, to talk to them, and sometimes, why not, keep in touch! It is truly fulfilling when, after spending a vacation in one of our places, people get back to me and let me know that they have had a good time!
I can not always meet my guests in person (I divide my time between Rome and Tuscany, where we have a farm), but I personally answer to their questions, take care of their request and organize their sojourn. I’m glad when people decide to spend their vacation in our beautiful country, that I love so much, and I try to help them making the best of it!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

This villa has belonged to our family for generations. This is an area of Rome that is still inhabited by Romans. A beautiful residential area, quiet and 'true'. The people know each other, and greet each other in the street and still find time to exchange a few words. In 2016 we completely renovated the villa and we have obtained this independent apartment where our guests can enjoy a holiday in an oasis of calm and quiet, a few steps away from the animation and folklore of Trastevere.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We love the small street where the apartment is located, the number of gardens that follow one another, the birds singing in the morning (that too ... not exactly graceful, crows and gulls). The apartment is surrounded by greenery, it is quiet, easy also something more: It will allow you to stay in a real Roman home. The wooden window frames painted of white, the floors in large planks of oak, the curtains, the exterior covered in brick and slate.
It will be for a while '"your home" and you will see that it will have a part in your memories when you'll look back to your " Roman holidays. "
