Perfect place and location. Quiet and walking distance to everywhere in Tamarindo. The manager Melissa was extremely helpful with all the little requests and activity planning I had during our stay.I recommend and will come back if some day I come back to the area.

Great vacation spot

The property was safe, clean and in a great quiet location. The condo was perfect for 2 of us and just a 5-10 minute walk to Tamarindo. We had everything we needed for our 7 night stay.

Great stay

We have stayed at this complex a few times and this unit was great. All of the supplies were there that were needed for a longer stay. Furniture and bed were comfortable . The management was very responsive and comfortable . I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Little piece of paradise

This was our 4th visit to the condo. Perfect location, setting to see monkeys cruise by daily. Well furnished, designated covered parking with outlet to charge golf cart. Condo overlooks pool, I feel it’s the ideal location. Close by many restaurants and easy walk into town.

Relaxing week at Sol Oasis

We found Sol Oasis comfortable and relaxing for our week's stay. We slept well in the king bed, and enjoyed the attractive pool, which was never crowded. There are several very good and close restaurants, and the ocean was a 5 min. walk to gorgeous sunsets. The building was quiet - only noise came from the howler monkeys traveling along the power lines across the street. Having laundry in the condo was convenient. Melissa was very helpful and accommodating - thank you!

Beautiful condo but no ocean view

The condo was clean and very nice. We used the kitchen a lot and the grill station down by the pool. Our balcony looked over the pool. The VRBO condo description said "ocean view and sunsets" as to which neither was true. We rented a golf cart from the little little shop next to the condo complex I would say if you're going to stay in this location a golf cart is a must. It's a pretty far walk from the beach and Tamarindo.

Enjoyed the Condo

Everything was as advertised, would recommend the condo. Pools and public areas were well maintained and cleaned daily. On site security was an added bonus. There were enough supplies to comfortably cook your own meals in the kitchen. Only recommendation for the owner would be to invest in new bed sheets (they were old and pilled) and additional outdoor seating.

Worth the walk to town

We had such an amazing stay! The property was very clean and safe. It was about a 20 min walk into Tamarindo which we did most nights for dinner, I can’t imagine walking it in the heat of the day unless you find a way to walk the beach. We had a rental car so we drove into town in the morning if we were spending the day there but it can be tricky to find free parking on the street. If I were to do it again I would transfer from the airport and then rent a golf cart instead. There wasn’t many restaurants right in Langosta but the pizza restaurant was incredible. We had other friends staying in Tamarindo and their accommodations were more Costa Rican but had uncomfortable beds and furniture and small lacking kitchens and no water pressure… we were so grateful to have a comfy bed and amazing kitchen and a ton of water pressure the outdoor bbq area was lovely too. We were able to work remotely not only from the condo but the pool area below with no issues with the internet except occasionally having to turn one of the videos off on a video call. The pool was huge and never busy ( you can also access a second pool closer to the other building) , it was fairly cold and we are surprised that the spa tub was also cold, a hot tub would have been really nice. The gym was nice to have and great views, but it had minimal weights and not a lot of equipment. I believe they had 5,10,15,20 and maybe 25 or 30s but only one set of each so it was very difficult to workout if someone else was. Still a great bonus to have none the less. The roof top patio had such nice views but was very hot, wish it had more of a shaded area. Overall we had a really nice stay and Melissa the property manager was great and kept in touch and answered any questions we had. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Oasis in Paradise

This 1 bedroom condo is in the perfect location of Tamarindo area (Playa Langosta). There is a designated parking spot for a car/golf cart. 2 minute drive into town. Unit itself overlooks the pool and is situated just far enough from town that you are not hearing the “noise”. (we were there during NYE week & tons of people). Unit is very well appointed and kept up. Both the owner and property manager are very nice and responded immediately with any questions we had. Tip: take advantage of the rooftop deck for sunset view

The complex is beautiful. Well maintained and very clean. The condo was perfect for the 2 of us, clean, modern and well equipped. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Pura Vida!

Sol Oasis is PARADISE!!!

Sol Oasis in Playa Langosta is a little piece of Paradise in PARADISE! Between the actual condo unit, the proximity to both Playa Langosta and Playa Tamarindo, along with the people and the beautiful view from the balcony, we had a fantastic time and hope to come back next year! PURA VIDA!!!

Excellent place - nicely appointed and close to the beach and restaurants

It was a very nice apartment. Very clean and nicely furnished. Barbara has put a lot of thought into what she has there. Lots of bath and beach towels(even a beach bag!)Has air-conditioning (which we only used at night - she also has a fan which is nice to have during the day. The furniture is good and also has Direct Tv for those who like to watch. Has a coffee machine and a blender(for Margaritas etc) The complex has a nice pool and also a gym. The security guys are very nice and friendly. It is a great place and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good alternative to a hotel

Fantastic first visit to Costa Rica. Our condo was extremely comfortable and centrally located!

Our beautiful condo was large and well equipped. We found the guards and maintenance staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the large pool and outdoor cooking area. Had a family dinner with other family members staying close by and the pool table, air hockey and foosball table were all a big hit! Highly recommend this location - quiet and peaceful yet a short walk to the more lively Tamarindo beach and restaurants if desired. The staff at Horizon Pacific were also extremely helpful and responsive to our queries. Pura Vida!

Perfect vacation, almost couldn't come home.

The only thing this condo could do to improve would be bedside lamps. It felt so wasteful to read at nite with all the lights on. Everything throughout the home is spotlessly clean and perfectly comfortable. Kitchen is complete, and the blender is powerful. This complex seems to cater more to the 'preparing' to retire crowd, Quiet, and relaxed. Beautiful views, and a short walk to the beach for those incredible sunsets. We'll most certainly be back. Pura Vida

I truly enjoyed my stay

I was there Jan 2018 in Tamarindo area and it was my second visit to CR. The place was within walking distance to Tamarindo but not as busy. The complex has a very nice common pool, BBQ area and parking within the gate security. The unit itself was perfect for me in terms of size and amenities. I will recommend this.

This property was perfect. The pool temp could be warmer. The grill ran out out of propane with no back up tank. This were minor things on a great stay Will book again !!!

Adventure and Romance !

Sol Oasis at the Peninsula Resort Condominiums has everything you need for a perfect vacation, so well equipped and clean. It's a quiet condo where you can walk to the beach to surf or venture on a beachwalk into Tamarindo. There is so much to do in Playa Langosta/Tamarindo. The restaurants were amazing, we had a romantic dinner on the beach at Pangas, the everyday two for one all day happy hour's are common place and the Nacho's at Whitches Rock are a must! Every day we discovered something new to do. We did the mud baths, horse back riding, atv's, zip lines, boat tours, deep-sea fishing with Rhino Charger and had a most memorable time at the Great Waltini's! Too much to list and we will definately be back!

Beautiful, sunny condo, close to beaches

We stayed here for 15 days in the second half of December. First, the condo was nearly perfect, very clean and modern. The kitchen was very well equipped with most of the basic things you would expect. One bonus: a knife sharpener! (I hate the beating knives usually take in rental places and they are usually dangerously dull to work with.) There was a dining area with two tables (?), neither of which we ever used. Whenever we did eat in, we always ate on the balcony overlooking the pool. The bedroom was spacious, and the Jacuzzi in the corner was really great. I didn’t notice in the listing that there were two bathrooms, but we were glad to have the extra one. There is a huge walk-in closet with tons of towels (beach, pool, regular bath and hand towels, and some very plush bath towels). The living room was fairly small but cozy. It’s not like we go on vacation to sit inside and watch TV. There is a medium-sized flat-screen TV, but the one time I did try to watch it the reception on most of the channels was fairly poor. Wi-fi reception was excellent! Security was good, with very friendly guards at the main gate. One drawback: the safe in the room did not work correctly and could only be accessed with a key, not a code. The pool is excellent and looks better than the pictures in the listing. There is a good gas grill which we used a couple of times (although, if you’re tall like me, watch your head so you don’t bang it on the concrete vent above it). There is a small workout room on the top level, and yes, you can see the ocean from there, but only if you get on one of the treadmills or other machines and are tall enough to see through the tiny windows. Seem a waste of what could be a great view. The neighborhood has some great restaurants within a block or two. Sabo has great wood-fired pizza and the whole staff is Italian. Walter’s is an amazing Italian deli right next to the condo. (They have a fresh soft cheese filled buratta that you have to order a day in advance. Get it!) There’s also a tapas place, Moko’s(?), that has excellent food. The walk to Tamarindo on the main road takes about 15 minutes, but can be very dusty and windy when it’s not the rainy season. Also, if you can arrange your own transport from the airport in Liberia, do so. The service the condo uses arranged a private shuttle for $80. There are $20 shuttles from the airport to and from Tamarindo, and you can get a cab to the condo for $5.

Best Location - Something for Everyone!

Staying at Sol Oasis was the best choice! It is the most perfect location. It is located near everything including the beach and the center of town where you will find unbeatable nightlife and shopping. But it is set back so it is quiet and peaceful. We like to explore and walked the area everyday. We saw monkeys just around the corner. They were amazing to watch and we heard them howl. I am not a surfer but I do know this is the place to be for surfers. We went zip lining, horse back riding, white water rafting and did the hot springs. I would highly recommend it! We had a rental car and visited a different area each day. We felt very safe and enjoyed meeting and hanging out with the locals. They are very welcoming. We love Costa Rica and stayed in several other places. We will definitely stay here again, year after year. The owners are extremely accommodating and made us feel welcome. It truly is the most perfect location even if you do not rent a vehicle. There is so much to do right within walking distance. Sol Oasis is a beautiful place to stay, inside and out. Loved the decor. When you walk through the door you will see the place is cared for and is very well maintained. There is a pool, gym, swingset and BBQ on site. There is nothing more you could ask for!
