About Hopkins Village: Hopkins is a friendly village and because Blue Moon Cabana and Baby Blue Cabana are located in the center of Hopkins, you can walk to everything. You can also rent a bicycle, motorbike, or golf cart to get around. The Cabanas are situated on a private beachfront lot and because we're in a village we do have neighbors. Hopkins is a vibrant traditional village that comes alive early in the morning with the singing of tropical birds and the occasional rooster letting you know it's morning! If you're looking to experience the culture of a local village in Belize, Blue Moon Cabana and Baby Blue Cabana are the perfect spot. If you require a more luxurious and fancier experience, you may be happier with a resort-type accommodation in the north and south outskirts of the village. There is a variety of accommodation options in and around Hopkins to meet the diverse needs of vacationers.

In Hopkins, you'll have access to the best Belize has to offer, including fabulous beaches and easy access to the Cayes, diving and snorkeling, nearby mountains and jungles, and much more. When you stay at Baby Blue Cabana, we can arrange a variety of tours and adventures for you. What a great place! Located right in the heart of Hopkins. I loved that we were immersed in the culture and the locals are so incredibly friendly!! I felt very safe our entire stay.The cabana is nice and clean and you have all the amenities youā€™ll need. Grocery store and many restaurants and local cool spots are within walking distance. Perfection!Thank you for such a great place to call home during our visit to Belize!Will definitely be recommending to our friends and hope to return in the future

We really enjoyed our time in Hopkins. Angel the grounds keeper and the tour drivers for Julian tours all really stood out. All were very friendly and all answered all our many questions.

Mirko was an excellent host! He answered questions quickly and offered great advice before my trip, and he checked in with me once I arrived. The cabana is conveniently located in town, so close to everything. It was very clean, and we didnā€™t have any (not one!) bug inside. The beach is beautiful. I will recommend this place to all my friends, for sure.

Cute little cabin. The shower had hot and cold water with good pressure. Plenty of soft towels provided. Mirko was very responsive to all of our enquiries. The Baby Blue is situated behind the larger Blue Moon rental unit, so you do not get a full beach view. The fridge is a mini, so unable to make ice.

Great location!

Loved my stay at Baby Blue Moon! The room was clean and had everything I needed. Walkable (or ride a bike) to many restaurants and stores. There was a bike rental place just across the street! The beach is beautiful as always and there were a couple of lounge chairs on the property for my use.

4 great days in Hopkins

Cabin was exactly as advertised, plenty of room for 2, great water pressure, our host gave us good advice on local eateries and set us up with an outstanding snorkel trip with Patrick. Hopkins is a fantastic place, much more local flavor than the other seaside tourist areas.

Comfortable and convenient stay

The property was perfect for one person with all the necessary amenities, and was very clean. Its located right on the beach and only a stones throw from restaurants and bars in Hopkons nearby. Peaceful, with clear communication with the property owner whenever I had a question or needed to book a taxi to the airport.

Bungalow on the beach

We had a pleasant stay at the Baby Blue Cabana. We enjoyed using the kitchen and eating on the deck with a view of the beach. Cozy bungalow for two. Within walking distance of Hopkins eateries. The property owner helped us get transportation to local attractions.

Right on the beach. Staff went out of their way to help me with getting from the airport, excursions-which definitely helped because I was on my own and most excursion companies have a minimum of 2 people. I would definitely come here again.

The lodging was nice, there currently is construction behind the Cabana but nothing to noisy after night fall. Saturday and Sunday nights were a serious issue though the place next door played Karaoke until 0200 am!! But other than that we had wonderful time.

Beautiful location and exactly as expected

Awesome little cabana with a comfy bed, shower, kitchen and porch with a hammock. The location is great for walking to everything in Hopkins. All the restaurants are close and the market is less than a block away. Making a pot of coffee in the morning and sitting is the beach is hard to beat. I have and will continue to recommend this property to all my friends.

This new cabana, extremely well kept and clean. The cabana is in the central part of town which enables you to walk around and experience the local culture and cuisine. For one person it is fine, it may be a little on the small side for 2 people but overall this little cabana has my recommendation.

Baby Blue hide-a-way

Can't say enough about how wonderful this little Hopkins gem is! Right on the beach and at the same time in the centre of a walkable village! Bought our fruits and veggies on the street, best coffee right next door, and several rustic beach restaurants within easy walking distance. We tried them all and enjoyed every meal. This is a real village, not a resort, so expect the sounds and friendly people of every day life. Don't forget to tip the gentleman who cleans and rakes the sand all the way from the bungalow to the water (keeps the sand flee population down)

Mirko was great!

The property was a little smaller than we expected, so it was a little less ventilated than we hoped. However, the beachfront was very peaceful and mostly quiet. The location is also very convenient. Whenever we had issues Mirko was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would book again.

Nice private cabana in the heart of Hopkins

Great communication with host, Mirko. Access and check in was smooth. We loved this cozy cabana. It was the smaller cabana on the property. Nice touch with the hammock and coconuts in the mini fridge. Though it was a bit tucked away from the beach, it is a very short walk (count about 30 steps). Walkable to shops and restaurants and ATM.

Baby Blue Cabana was built in 2014 in the lot behind our beachfront Blue Moon Cabana. We put our hearts and souls into the cabana and wanted to build a place that fit with the culture of Hopkins. It was important to us to create a space that was comfortable and included all the things we would want ourselves in a rental cabana in Belize. We are not into the resort experience and value the local culture and people of Hopkins. We leave the resort-type experience to the places south of the village. Mirko, who lives nearby Baby Blue and Blue Moon Cabana is available to assist guests with all their needs during their stay, including transfer to and from the airport (and other locations) and arranging tours and other adventures for guests.

Hopkins is a laid back village with beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and Maya Mountains on the other side. Hopkins has a rich cultural life --and traditional Garifuna life is evident throughout the village.

Baby Blue Cabana is centrally located in the village which allows us to soak up the rich cultural life of the village. Local restaurants and other popular establishments are within walking distance from the cabana, but guests can also rent bicycles to get around, too. The cabana itself is steps from the sea and enjoys fabulous breezes directly from the sea. Hopkins is a great base to enjoy day and half-day trips to the jungle, mountains, and cayes. In addition to relaxing on the veranda or on the beach, there are so many adventures to enjoy in and around the village.
