Beachfront home in Hopkins Bay, Belize

This incredible ocean-front home is built right on the beautiful beach just steps away from the sea in the small Garifuna fishing village of Hopkins and is within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, bars, shops and other popular establishments.

It is registered and licensed with The Belize Tourism Board, meeting all the quality standards. You can find the property under aMayanHeaven on BTB Gold Standard list of hotels.

The house has rich mahogany cabinetry, cabbage-bark hardwood flooring throughout, stainless steel appliances in the gorgeous chef's kitchen and authentic hardwood furniture.

The house has a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, 2 bedrooms with king-size beds, living room, 1 1/2 bathrooms. The house can accommodate 2 to 4 guests.

Relax on the private front veranda looking out over the sea, or the rooftop to catch the full effect of the sea breeze and take advantage of the higher vantage point for views of the village and even the Cayes a few miles out on the reef. The property abounds with producing banana, mango, lime, yellow and green coconut trees.

Our local manager takes care of the property and landscaping and provides optional housekeeping, provisioning services - all for an additional fee. She can also arrange transportation, car rental, travel and wide verity of tours.

How to get here: Once you arrive in Belize city, you have two options:
- rent a car and drive to Hopkins (about 2 1/2 hour drive)
- take one of the regional carriers (Tropic Air or Maya Air) to the Dangriga Airport where we can arrange the transportation to the property.

This was one of the best rentals we've ever stayed in! The location was phenomenal - steps away from the water and just a walk along the beach in either direction to get to some fantastic restaurants. The central location also allowed our tour company (Get to Know Belize) to pick us up at our door or right on the beach for all of our excursions! Martin, the manager, was very helpful and quickly responded to any question we had. Our neighbors (and Hopkins as a whole) were friendly and even stopped over to see if our boys needed anything! The house itself was great; spacious, comfortable, and had all the tools we needed to cook a few meals ourselves. I can't recommend A Mayan Heaven enough!

Every was absolutely amazing!!!!!! Very clean. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable mattresses. There was a problem with on of the A/C units but i sent a text to Martin and he was all over it. Great guy to deal with. We had an amazing time. The view was fantastic. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat

Lovely home right on the beach!

Fantastic location right in the heart of Hopkins. Nice spot on the beach with palm tree shade. The house is very nice, clean and comfortable. All modern amenities including AC and washer/dryer. I would absolutely stay here again!!

Location!

Great location. Beautiful beach with swimming right outside the door. The house is a bit aged, consistent with the tropics. Overall, great spot.

On of the best beach side properties in Hopkins

This is our 4th visit to Hopkins and our first time staying here. It is in the middle of Hopkins so you can walk to all of the stores and restaurants. The beds are nice, the place is spacious and the property is fenced with a nice parking area inside the gates.

A magical experience

4 friends (2 couples) age 60 spent 3 nights and it was the best experience Cant beat the location, right on the beach, best restaurant right next door (Thongs) and walking distance to shops and restaurants The home was extremely clean, comfortable and had a luxurious feel. Martin, the property manager was very responsive and helpful. Stop searching properties right now and book this gem

Amazing Experience

The property was exactly as advertised; the property manager was always available and the surrounding area and people was amazing. I highly recommend the property and location and look forward to visiting that exact spot again in the future.

My 50th. Birthday Trip!

The property is located in a wonderful seaside village, where fishing is the main source of income after tourism. Stay here twice now, and the village of Hoppens is everything if you want a mellow Caribbean vacation. The wonderful people and it is closest to all types of attractions, ruins, etc.. and like I said, the house is amazing!

Great place

This place is amazing. Martin was so welcoming and helpful. Beds are so comfortable! Walking distance to many restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. The only negative I have is it does not have a washer or dryer, so if you are staying for a long period this could be an issue.

Amazing place to stay in the heart of Hopkins

The house is wonderful! Waking up to the sound of the surf in an extremely comfortable bed is otherworldly. Lots of room with everything you need, the house is well appointed and beautifully decorated. We loved our stay there and would do it again in a heartbeat. Only quibble is the pack of local dogs sounding the alarm at dawn each morning.

Great stay in Hopkins

We really enjoyed our stay at aMayaHeaven. Hopkins is a nice easy-going town and we enjoyed the people we met there. The location of the home on the beach was great as were the accommodations. Wonderful stay in Hopkins!

Stay here...just do it! The house is wonderful, we were right on the beach and felt super safe. We ate at Thongs cafe multiple times, just a couple steps away. Fun to be amongst the locals. Some trash does wash up on the beach daily, but once you do a quick clean-up it really is lovely! Thanks again- we enjoyed our stay in the lovely town of Hopkins.

Amazing Sunrise

Great property right on the beach, coffee and sunrise is the perfect way to start the day. Plenty of supplies at the house including filtered water, bicycles, towels, etc. Centrally located in Hopkins, walking distance to great restaurants. Peers, Thongs, Coconut Husk, and Driftwood are well priced and have amazing food. Go rent a golf cart and explore the area.

To have a home here, especially in one of the friendliest, most beautiful communities in the country, is a dream come true.
