This is a custom 4-bedroom, 3-bath condo just a block from the ocean. "A Carolina Dream" is located on the prestigious north end of Myrtle Beach, a quiet area of the beach, but with plenty to do! Windward Palms' "A Carolina Dream" is VERY large - over 2000 square feet! It's luxury beach living at a bargain price because it's not direct oceanfront. Why do we describe it as luxury living? Because of the upscale furnishings, beautiful hardwood floors throughout, a Jacuzzi tub in the master bath with double vanities... because it has granite counter-tops, and flat screen TVs. The unit sleeps 10 with a king in the master suite, a queen in each of the other three bedrooms, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked for service for more than enough guests that this condo will accommodate. You'll love cooking and preparing meals in this fabulous kitchen with a serving bar and bar stools in addition to the spacious dining room. When you decide to eat out, you'll have lots of nearby choices sure to please any appetite. Relax on the balcony with a wrought-iron café table and chairs. A private elevator will bring you directly to your front door from the garage where you have protected parking. Enjoy a lovely pool and bath house that is almost private - it's only shared by 3 other units. Remember, the beach is just a few yards away, so it will be easy to grab your beach bag, your favorite book and head on over for a sun-filled day. Rinse off in the outside shower, and to keep up with the swim suits and towels, there is a washer & dryer in the condo. Just minutes away from this property are many amusements and entertainment venues sure to please just about everyone in your party. Let's just name a few... Pirate's Voyage (Dolly Parton's newest show), The Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, The Palace Theater and Medieval Times. If shopping is your thing, there's Broadway at the Beach, Tanger Outlet Mall and the Coastal Grande Mall. If you're a golfer, this location is perfect for you with many courses nearby. Whatever is on your agenda, you won't be disappointed with your stay with us here. A few more noteworthy items: Wireless high speed internet is available, so bring those laptops. The building is secure as a code is required to access the garage. Our guests who stay in Windward Palms almost always book next year's vacation before they leave. This one is a winner!

Great for families

This was the perfect location for a family vacation. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The staff was super professional, nice and accommodating.

Very comfortable stay for 4 golfers. Location central to all courses and short walk to beach. Favorite restaurants all within 10mins.

Great Place for large group

It was perfect get away with friends due the layout , cleanliness and location of the property. The location can not be beat and the secure garage area was perfect! My only complaints were the floors were a little dirty but overall the property was very clean and the dishwasher door hinge was broken and would fall directly to the ground. I enjoyed the house and again the location was ideal!

Very convenient garage parking. Quiet. Amazing price for what you get. A few maintenance hiccups, but the property manager was very easy to work with and made it right.

Beyond expectations

I highly recommend this space. We had more than enough room for 7 adults. Great location to the attractions and the beach. The communication was constant and easy, even when dealing with an elevator issue. Just remember to bring your own paper products. We will be staying here again for our next trip to Myrtle Beach.

Great location

Property was in a great location. Minutes from the beach and shopping. Condo was spacious. Could use a few updates some doors are hard to open shower heads could be updated. Walls are thin upstairs neighbors were really loud. Overall we had a great time.

Staying at a Carolina Dream was like our home away from home

Lock in front door in foyer(had to “jiggle” the door to make it catch) & man door in garage (plate on lock is bent & sometimes hard to lock) Kitchen faucet leaks near hot & cold handles. General cleanliness of unit was quite good- floors left a little to be desired - bottoms of our feet and/or socks were kind of black…this was not however from being on the beach or walking back & forth!

Beautiful property! Great vacation!

This property was perfect for our extended family group of ten. Very clean, well kept, and a great location close to the beach, stores, and restaurants. The mattress for the pull out sofa was uncomfortable, but I’ve never slept on a comfortable one. The only issue we had was with check in. We were told check in was between 4pm and 6 pm. We arrived at 4:30 and the property was still being cleaned. The property manager clarified that it means that the property will be ready for occupancy some time between 4 and 6, not that you can check in any time during those hours. Otherwise, everything was perfect and would definitely stay at this property again!

The pictures match the reality!

We came down for a baseball tourney at the Ripken Experience. The place was great and easily fit 4 adults and 4 kids. 1 block to the ocean and seemingly 15 minutes from almost everywhere. The pool is cleaned everyday and everything was clean upon arrival. The only request is the bedrooms have cresent moon windows above the main windows. Because the property is so well lit, a lot of light comes into all the bedrooms at night. Maybe get some curtains to block the light in the evening? The master bedroom is flooded by a streetlight, so turning lights off wasnt really an option for us. Loved the property and would recommend it to anyone.

Golf get away

We took a 5 day trip to play four rounds of golf. Place was perfect and are already talking about going back down next year. The 3 other guys said they would like to stay in the same place again.

Would Stay Again

Happy with the overall experience & value. Big space, nicely appointed, close to the beach, close to the restaurants & supermarkets. The beach itself is family friendly. A car or Uber/Lyft required to get to the Boardwalk, etc. Check-in experience could be improved (keypads vs. keys needing to be picked up in a separate location).

Disappointed - Poorly maintained property

This unit has alot of safety issues and maintenance issues. As soon as we got out of the car the cleaning crew was leaving and saw my elderly mother and said the lights in the elevator don't work and it has been dark for a couple of weeks and to be careful on the steps. Steps are unsafe and have tiles and concrete chucks falling out in various location. The light going from elevator to unit entrance were also burnt out. Main door has been poorly repaired several time and you need to lift and shake to ensure it locks. Vent in family room getting ready to fall out of ceiling several others are rusty. Cracked toilet tank lid, handle falling off faucet in bathroom. Patio furniture has pieces broken and are unsafe for use, Fire extinguishers are outdated per nation fire code. The elevator is jerky and is not up to date for annual SC State inspection, label is very out dated, several years old. This may be an average property in condition at best but safety issues make it far less. Pest control need improvement several types of bugs and for COVID improved cleaning it is not. One bed cover had a blood stain and when I dropped something it was filthy under dressers and beds. Cleaning crew also had not checked dresser drawers new shirt tags, kids art work and trash drawers. I have pictures and wish I could post with this review. Sofa bed does not work properly we were told maintenance was coming one day between 9 and 3 so we took valuables with us. They showed up the next day without notice to check light and change filter in ac. They asked if they could come back for bulbs or should wait til Saturday, we said wait however after we returned that night from dinner the burnt out bulbs were replaced and the poorly working door mentioned early was not latched so anyone could have come in. I have no idea what they did with the dirty filter as they came with a clean one and left with nothing? Very disappointed with this property not as presented. The location and parking garage and size are awesome however pool was clean and not crowed.
