Close to the village and other amenities. Lake view from deck and balcony are great. Some of the downfalls are no dishwasher, and trash has to be transported to a location a short drive away, outside of community. Home has basic kitchen necessities. Overall would recommend for a stay in Big Bear.

Would not stay here again

The silverware, plates and glasses, mixing bowls and cups had a sheen of grease on them or were dirty and all had to be washed before using.Plates and bowls are chipped/cracked.No tea kettle, no microwave, no dishwasher, no blender, one roll of 1 ply paper towels, only 2 small kitchen towels. The property is on the lake but no beach towels.One small cookie sheet and one 9X13 Pyrex dish are the only oven safe dishes. Knives can all be thrown away as they have no sharpness.No plastic wrap or tin foil. East facing master bedroom has no shades so when the sun comes up at 5:51am, who ever is in this room will be up, too.Tiny cheap soap and crummy shampoo.No steel wool/bar keepers friend for cleaning the stainless pots and pans. They do provide dish soap. Dirty.Please see photos.

The garage is not attached to the house, the dock is not available to guests, the house was full of bugs spiders flies in the windows and on the floor. The spa is only available till 10 @ night and one of the nights the spa wouldnā€™t turn on.

Reviewer Comments: I don't know how the other reviews could be so positive, but the only good thing about this cabin is it's lakefront location. Otherwise, the carpet disgusting, all furniture ancient, the whole place smells. No heater upstairs. A small electric heater provided for the entire upstairs. It took an entire day to warm the upstairs to about 65 degrees. The first night the children were freezing and had to sleep with jackets. The photograper/photoshoper should be given an award to make that place look so good in pictures.

Was dissatisfied with the following though- - main jacuzzi on ground level (large one) did not work. Despite calling manager first thing Saturday morning was never fixed or resolved. A few phone calls that resolved nothing and no credit to charges offered. There is a 2nd hot tub outside and upstairs for 2-3 max people but my mother couldn't do the stairs ( it was a Mother's Day trip for her). So needless to say I was bummed. View from upstairs main bedroom is awesome - window however needs curtains. Up at 5:30 am with sun blasting in. If you're ok with that then you'll love the view. The house is much smaller and worn than pictures indicate. If you're looking for new/ pristine than this is not it though master bedroom does appear upgraded. A great spot on the lake - great access to water.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the cabin was perfect! Right on the lake with an amazing second story view from the balcony off the master bedroom. The balcony had chairs and a table where you could sit and have your coffee and enjoy the view and the sounds of birds. It was so beautiful. There were two large picnic tables in the front yard so if you have a big family or an event that would be perfect. The cabinet itself was rustic modern. You have a very nice large kitchen for cooking with a long dining table made of wood to sit and look out the large window of the lake. Thereā€™s a bedroom downstairs and a full bathroom a living room that has a gaming room and a fireplace and a big screen TV with a large couch wrap around sitting area just underneath a huge window that overlooks the lake with a patio outside the window that you can access that wraps around to a large beautiful Jacuzzi that was well-maintained and heated and ready for Use when we arrived. The stairs lead up to two bedrooms, the master bedroom, a half bath and a room with two full-size beds that would be perfect for young adults or children. The master bedroom had a ceiling fan not that you needed. It is a nice breeze in the evenings and it open to French doors a large patio, where you could see the lights other beautiful estates across the lake or the water activities of people on boats, but youā€™re far enough away to not be bothered by any noises at night it would just be so beautiful to see everything lit up along the water and the reflection of the moonlight on the water and the stars were so Bright. The TV had cable so you could enjoy Netflix or what other streaming services you like. We were stressed out from our everyday Lives when we arrived by the time we left we were changed overnight. We were so relaxed and happy and couldnā€™t believe we only had a couple of days there so weā€™re definitely going back next year and this time for a week, you will regret if you donā€™t stay for

Dirty shack on the lake

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was extremely old, small & dirty... cobwebs everywhere , Cups in the cupboards were unwashed. The walls had stuff splattered on them, the floors dirty... Everythingā€˜s dusty and there were plenty of blankets but none of them had been washed. They only have bath towels and no spa towels or towels for the lake available. (& no starter amount of laundry detergent) There are no blinds in the master bedroom... Which has a beautiful view of the lake but at sunrise you will be up every morning at 5 AM! The flooring is so tattered it looks like an outdoor barn. & there were absolutely no games for indoor or outdoor use. Usually all cabins come with a deck of cards or a couple board games but this one had nothing. We left a night early (& did not get any refund) just because we couldnā€™t stand staying there any longer.

House looks good,clean and everything is worked. I cleaned outside but it was waste of time because in the morning I had the same mess. It was only one problem I couldn't close the window for night time, which is closer to kitchen sink,because kids was a little bit scared to be in a new place in a forest,but it's ok,it wasn't a problem for next day. Thank you it a good place, awesome view and fresh air. We had a good time.

This is a great property in a great location but the inside needs some serious TLC. The furniture is very worn out and overall just needs a deep cleaning and maybe a fresh coat of paint. We also had ants in the kitchen and found a few mouse droppings. This would be a great place to hang out with the fellas but I wouldn't bring your mother-in-law here.

Great view and hot tub. Dirty inside.

Upon arrival I was a little disappointed. The pictures made the cabin look way nicer than it was. The beds were very firm, the floors were dirty, it looked like the couch hadnā€™t been cleaned (crumbs on the seats), lots of dishes were dirty, and the kitchen table was sticky. Had it not been for the view of the lake and the hot tub, it wouldā€™ve been a waste. I still think it was overpriced for what it was. Thereā€™s no dishwasher and the garbage disposal didnā€™t work very well. Iā€™ve stayed at much nicer cabins for less money. We had fun but definitely wonā€™t be staying at this cabin again.

Ski vacation

Great location. Midway from the town and the ski mountains. Great Lake views. The cabin comes with all basic supplies. Just wish it had a dish washer. Good spot for short visits .
