Private spot from other RVs, with an amazing view (this is not your normal RV park ;). We love to see pets join the vacation. If you are bringing more than 1 pet, please contact first before booking. The pet fee is for 1 pet.

Beautiful view over hot brook canyon.

King size master, bunk room with double and single beds. Sofa bed in living room for 2. Sleeps 7 total.

Brand new deck just added, for the hot tub and nice place to sit and relax.

Let us know if you would like the 4 person hot tub during your visit.

Nice large bathroom and shower, fireplace, 39in popup tv with dish service, dinning table inside and outside under the 20ft awning.

Lots of big windows to enjoy the canyon views throughout your entire stay.

Ac, stove, frig, WiFi... All the comforts of home. Coffee pot is a combo Keurig / drip.

Enjoy everything from beautiful sunrises to amazing sunsets.

Rv is parked in a secluded area in the trees close to the cliff, but still easy to get to with a car or motorcycle and well hidden from the main house.

Please remember this is a RV/Camping experience, the RV does have AC, but in the hot summer months we can not guarantee the RV will be as cool as your home. The nights typically drop down in the 50's/60s even in the summer, so with open windows, it usually is very comfortable sleeping.

This was a beautiful home away from home for my recent solo trip to South Dakota. The RV accommodation was very comfortable, and the views from the back porch were gorgeous. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The drive through a red rock Canyon to get to the vacation rental was stunning. The location was not far from the Black Hills or the Badlands. I saw Buffalo, wild turkeys, Prairie dogs, and even a wolf in my drives in the Black Hills. Iā€™m so glad that I got to visit this beautiful part of South Dakota.

This was a wonderful experience. We loved the private space and accommodations to explore the area. The area was beautiful, with a nice deck and seats to overlook the nearby cliff, see all the beautiful scenery, and enjoy the stars. We stayed a week and weren't ready to leave.

This place rests on a bluff and there is a steep gravel road to drive up but it's worth it! A beautiful place! I can't say enough about it and words wont do it justice. Let me say this, it was so relaxing that we spent a whole day lounging on the deck even though we had the day planned for sight seeing. We used the hottub every morning and night. The kitchen is the perfect size for one cook but everything worked perfectly. The a/c worked great, it does get hot in SD in the summer. It was difficult to leave this place and I wish we had the whole summer there!I don't believe anyone could say anything negative about this place, and if they do, there is something wrong with them!

The RV provides enough space for family of 4. The Bathroom was spacious, and hot tub on deck was a plus. The kitchen had all you needed to make and serve meals. We loved the privacy and the view of the surrounding land. The night sky is the best view of all.

We absolutely loved our stay. Waking up and seeing the close and sunrise was our favorite part of this stay. The kids enjoyed the view and swing. The open and safety. The kids woke up and enjoyed outside without worried of danger. The RV is pretty spacious that pictures doesnā€™t justify. The master room was big enough for us and our little girls pack and play crib. The full size bed with a twin above is also its own room so everyone had their own space. We loved our stay. Highly recommend to anyone. Phone service is non existent at the mountains so itā€™s a great way to completely shut off the world and live in the moments. My phone did have WiFi but it wouldnā€™t load any apps such as the weather or anything so I was completely clueless on the weather and things going on with social media. I believe thatā€™s just because my phone wouldnā€™t come off roaming. Donā€™t let the distance scare you because escaping reality and living this cliff dream was the best thing my family got to do. Also, there are two adorable goats close to the property that my kids fell in love with and enjoyed watching them eat and jump around. Such cute little chunky goats. Trust your guts and book this property and enjoy the escape. You wonā€™t regret it!

Beautiful place to unwind after a day of site seeing.

A perfect way to unwind after seeing the sites of the Black Hills area. The property is a little slice of heaven, the views are beautiful. The Sandpiper was the prefect size for our family of 3. The hosts are really friendly and had great recommendations of things to do in Hot Springs. Make sure to visit the Mammoth Site, it was an unexpected surprise for us and ended up being our favorite thing we did!

Loved the Sandpiper

Our stay in Hot springs, South Dakota was very nice. Weā€™re thinking of now trading our camper in for a Sandpiperā€¦the property we stayed on had a stunning view, so even though this location was quite far from everything, the view definitely made up for all the driving. Will definitely let our friends and family know. The only down side was that in the evening when we got back and wanted to watch a little tv before bed we couldnā€™t get on anything. Thank goodness my husband had a good telephone plan, he would just use his phone for the data to watch something; internet froze a lot. Thank you Wade and Patricia for sharing your beautiful spot with us.

Perfect Stay

The views from this property were breathtaking. The camper had everything we needed to enjoy family dinners and time together and plenty of space for everyone to sleep or relax. It was also the perfect place for the dog to relax when we went on daily excursions that she couldn't be a part of. Communication with the hosts was also top-notch. Any questions or problems we had were answered or taken care of immediately. Thanks for a great stay - we hated to leave!

Stay here!

Everything about this place was wonderful. Hot Springs is a great place to stay away from the crowds of other towns in the Black Hills with a lot of outdoor adventures to be had. The Sandpiper is on a gorgeous bit of land with a beautiful view, and you can't go wrong with dog-friendly and a hot tub. This was a special vacation since it was our first with our son (5-months old), and he slept great because he was able to have privacy and quiet. Thank you for a great stay!

Nature Retreat

What a beautiful property! Nestled atop a tree-lined cliff and overlooking a valley, this location is an oasis for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. We enjoyed watching wild turkeys, deer, robins, rabbits, and other wildlife going about their daily routines. We felt welcome and relaxed as soon as we arrived.

Fantastic !! I suppose that wade should invest in a couple new mattresses for the hide a bed and the bunk bed -- but the main bedroom and bed was wonderful. Some of the outside lights did not work, but we managed. The gray water filled up after taking only 4 showers, but we were leaving anyway that day.

Great stay!

It was a fantastic place to stay! Well appointed and very comfortable. The views were amazing and the outdoor space is perfect to hang out on all day. The only issue we had was the shower didnt have any water pressure so we resorted to wash cloths for bathing.

We are a product of on online dating. Patricia moved from MN to the Northern Hills in 1979. Wade was born in Spearfish, but was living in Colorado, counting days until the next time he could get back the 'The Hills'.

Por que o anfitriĆ£o escolheu essa propriedade

When we found the property online, we fell in love with the house... and Wade the shop. But after we came to see it in person and walked to the cliff... well, it was just amazing. You have to see it in person to understand. Everyday, we tell our 3 dogs and 3 cats, 'we are going to the cliff' and we all take a hike together, stopping just to sit and look. Seems like every hike, we see something new, we never noticed before.

So nice here, we had our wedding at the cliff edge in 2012. We have a hard time figuring out where to 'go' for a vacation... we feel we are living in our perfect vacation spot and now we have discovered that we really enjoy sharing our favorite spot and the chance to meet new friends in the process.
