Neoclassical house in the main town of Hermoupolis, about 100 m upwards from the central square. Ideally located, large terrace, great view of the city and the surrounding islands of Tinos and Mykonos. Walking distance of the port, in the center of the city and near all the main attractions, city-hall, museums, restaurants, cafes, night life. While in the middle of the city it is situated above the main square in quite and serene location. The main living area is on the first floor. It includes a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. In the basement there is and independent studio with its own bathroom. It sleeps 9 people. Taxis, transportation and access to all beaches all near by.

Perfect situation. My wife and I, adult son with wife, adult son with partner—we never tripped over one another the house being so spacious and roomy. The breeze from the harbor lofting through the space was heavenly. The walk down to the plaza and waterfront was just the perfect distance. Katerina, the owner, and her associate Mary, who greeted us at the ferry, were the perfect hosts. It was a perfect setting in a perfect place.

This house is an absolute gem in the heart of Syros. This is our second time staying, after calling it home for 3 months earlier this year. This neoclassical mansion is a gem of traditional architecture and style, and giving breathtaking views over the Syros (especially from the rooftop). Katerina is a most gracious host, providing cleaning services and help whenever we need it. We love every minute of our stay there. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Syros and will continue to return time and time again.

The home is really beautiful and spacious. Two living rooms, large kitchen and dining table make it so easy to spread out and relax. The views of Ermoupoli and the port were amazing! It is a climb up the house from port as is common for the area. The listing states AC but there is AC for only one bedroom. Windows open up so you can get a breeze when there is one. This didn’t ruin our experience but we felt was misleading that at least the bedrooms didn’t have AC when we were coming at the peak of summer and we picked this location because it said it has AC.

This property is fantastic, very centrally located in town, very easy to access the ferry. There is a wonderful bakery right around the corner, lots of restaurants. Our host was lovely, whenever we reached out with questions, she immediately responded and help arrange taxi's from the ferry port to the house on our arrival.

A most elegant house

This is a very elegant house with a commanding view over the port and town of Ermoupoli. It is beautifully decorated and furnished and has a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The natural light and airy breeze that flood the property at different times of day are charming. We have had a long held ambition to stay in a property like this and it was everything we hoped it would be. Our stay here will be one we remember and talk about for a long time. Katerina, and Mary who met us, are both helpful and caring hosts. It was a lovely place to return to after being out at the beach or in the town, it was always a delight to get ‘home’ to this beautiful house. A dream that has now come true!

une maison accueillante où l'on se sent bien !

Cette vaste maison agréablement meublée , est accueillante, on se sent vite à l'aise. Le roof top offre une vue magnifique. Cette maison est idéale pour les grands groupes. Most amazing views

As family we had a perfect time in this apartment. Katerina already made reservations for the taxi’s from the ferry. Some basic needs were already in the fridge. The classical apartment looks great, is spacious en offers the most amazing views over Ermoupoli and its harbour. Walking distance from centre, harbour and sea. Due to some undeveloped properties next to the apartment, beware of the pigeons. Master bedroom has airco, the others bedrooms silent fans. We really enjoyed our stay!

Exceeded expectations.

We absolutely loved our stay here in this beautiful home with its stunning views. The location was great (close enough to the centre but far enough away to be peaceful). Other things that we appreciated were the comfortable beds with good quality mattresses and bed linen, a well equipped kitchen, nice touches (local soaps and toiletries) and a really responsive, warm and friendly host Katerina. We were delighted with the accommodation and would definitely stay here again. Thoroughly recommend!

Maison dans laquelle nous revenons chaque année ! Elle est tout simplement superbe ! Et katerina est une hôte parfaite , très attentive qui fait tout pour qu’on se sente chez soi , toujours très disponible et à l’écoute . Cette maison c’est notre petit paradis

Just Beautiful !!!

Katerina’s house is just perfect and so beautiful ! We have enjoyed a marvelous time staying in her house which is so well situated ! The rooftop gives you a 360 degree view on the entire Ermoupolis ! Also Katerina and kiki were so kind and very careful , making sure that we felt at home - which was the case ! We will of course come back with great pleasure .

Grand old building in superb location

Katerina is the best host I have encountered. She organised pick up from the port,and a full range of information on what to do in Syros. The building is a restored neo classical three story mansion,this apartment is the top floor with access to the huge rooftop terrace.It is beautifully furnished with an amazing art collection. The photos do not do it justice,it is huge but comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is well equipped and together with the great fresh produce available from the market allowed us to cook up a few grand feasts to enjoy on the rooftop. Syros and this building makes for a holiday that you will never forget. Thank you Katerina for your kindness and attention, even delivering coffee pods when we could not find where to buy them. We will be back.

Amazing stay in Syros. Wonderful stylish large 19th century mansion.

Katerina was extremely helpful and a wonderful host. Easy to contact, flexible and very responsive. We all had a great 2 weeks in Ermoupolis and will certainly be returning.

This house is so beautiful.

We really like this beautiful house. The house is very authentic and has everything you need. Everything is clean and very comfortable. Katherina has been very friendly and very easy to communicate with. The views are very beautiful and a five minute walk from Vaporia an unforgettable place for all of us. Ermoupouli is an incredible place to discover. We recommend this house and this city to everyone

Sehr geräumige, geschmackvoll fast nur in blau und weiss eingerichtete Wohnung mit fantastischer Aussicht über Stadt und Hafen. Dank der hohen Räume bleibt sie angenehm luftig selbst wenn es heiss ist. Kein Verkehrslärm, da nur über Treppenstufen zu erreichen. Äusserst freundliche und zuvorkommende Vermieterin. Einzige Minuspunkte: Die Motoren der im Hafen ankernden grossen Fährschiffe laufen auch nachts und sind gut zu hören; Qualität der Matratzen ist mangelhaft. Alles in allem aber unbedingt zu empfehlen.

"This is a beautiful hous...

"This is a beautiful house situated a short walk (up many steps!) from the main platia in the centre of the town of Hermoupolis. The house offered really good, clean, and above all elegant accommodation for our family of five. The owner went to great trouble to ensure that we had everything we needed for our stay and everything in the house was of the highest quality: comfortable beds, nice shower gels, good bathrooms etc. The rooms are large, airy and beautiful. There is a lovely swimming place about ten minutes' walk across the town but we also hired a car so that we could travel further afield to the beaches of Syros. I have been visiting Syros for twenty years and know every corner of the island well but this was certainly the most well appointed and charming property that I have stayed in. It felt more like a boutique hotel than a holiday rental. 5/5 all round."

"We stayed 2 weeks in this beautiful flat, and enjoyed every moment of it. It is so spacious and airy, with fantastic roof terrace were we've eaten regularly. From there you can see the whole town, port and beyond. As for the lady ower, we have never experience such a hospitality and kindness in every sence of these words. We would definetely go back."
