Location and Space
• Located on the SW side of the island, on a Cycladic mountain full of thyme, sage in a historical village.
• Choose your favorite spots to relax in the surrounding gardens
• Our private vineyard - in September we harvest and make our wine
• Panoramic Views
• Breathtaking Sunsets
• 2 sun loungers
• Day dream by the sound of the cicadas.
• An outdoor shower to wash off the salt and sand.
• Wine and dine on the spacious Terrace

Guest Access
The property is 20 min drive from the main port or airport. I can arrange for a taxi to pick you up or suggest car rentals to have a car waiting for you. You also have the choice to take the local bus, in which case I can pick you up from the bus stop in Poseidonia (at the Kiosk). A private road leads you to the property. There is plenty of space for parking if you rent a car or scooter.
Guest Interaction
I give my guests space but am available when needed. I will be happy to make your trip to Syros an unforgettable one. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything, from extra towels to local recommendations. I will be happy to assist you in any needs you may have during your visit. Besides that, I’ll leave you to enjoy your stay.

There are steps leading to and around the different levels of the property and a staircase inside the house.
In high season, which are the months of July and August, sounds of music travel up to our house from the beach, mainly on the weekends.

Our neighborhood is unique and known for its neoclassical mansions.
One can easily access the other villages for restaurants, shopping and the public transportation. Our property is on a road leading to Komito beach and a few other private properties. Komito and Agathopes beach are two beautiful sandy beaches with clear waters. Agathopes being the more popular one of the two has 3 choices of Greek restaurants. A beach bar is at Komito for refreshments and snacks. There are also two lovely restaurants in our neighborhood within walking distance.

Getting Around
We do recommend you rent a car or scooter if you wish to see more of the island. However there is a bus that runs every 30 min from the bus stop, which is a 8 min walk from our property. This bus takes you through all the villages and to the main city and port of Ermoupoli. Taxi service is also available. Bicycles and scooters are available to hire from the car rental services. We can help you with more information about your transportation options.

I'm Kiki, a book publisher and mother of 3 adult children. I have a multicultural background; I'm half American (Irish-Norwegian) and half Greek (Syros-Crete-Asia Minor). I am well-travelled and split my time between Athens and Syros - I have wonderful memories of family holidays here on the island. I'm an animal lover and owner of a dog and 2 cats. Music, dancing, poetry, nature, sunsets, the night sky, absorbing new-found knowledge, swimming in the sea, wandering in the mountains, exploring ruins... these are things that speak to my soul and make me happy.
I've discovered that hosting comes naturally to me, as I love to meet new people and take care of their needs, while embracing their innate differences. Come stay in my home and I'm sure you will love it as much as I do!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade
Every home has a story, and that of Villa Marie is brimming with sentiment. Along with Villa Sophia, the property was built in 1996 as our family's holiday retreat. A lot of love and care were woven into the very fabric of the building, with high-quality materials and furnishings used throughout.
We wanted a space for family and friends; we wanted comfort and style. Villa Marie was decorated by my father, a retired navy officer who had exquisite taste in furniture and art. You can feel the island and his love of the Aegean within the house. My dad had always wanted to build in Syros, his father's place of birth, and he and I completed the houses together. He loved to host, so for many years we hosted family and friends and their children - all have great memories of those summers.
Before his passing in 2016, he had given me his blessing to create the perfect sanctuary for guests and to continue the upkeep of our property; improvements have been made along the way, based on our guests’ feedback.
I feel as though I am continuing his dream with these villas. I hope that after your stay here, you leave with the same sense of joy and the same great memories my father created for his loved ones all those years ago.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
The location and the views of both the Sea and the village were what made us fall in love with the property. And of course the fact the atmosphere unique to Poseidonia and Finikas bay. A Quiet Neighborhood, Beautiful Panoramic Views, and being near the beach but not to close to the summer hustle and bustle. The house has surroundings to accommodate a large group or family and many spots so people can sit alone and enjoy the view and peacefulness. Shaded or Sunny areas, a swing under the pine trees. A barbecue and dining area for enjoying a meal under the stars. Not far from Restaurants, shops and Water Sports on the beach.
