Not a cookie cutter rental: a warm and cozy home with museum-quality furnishings and lush Sonoran landscaping to put you in the spirit of the Southwest. This 2 Bedroom Scottsdale Hideaway has everything you need to make you happy! Your own private pool, (very private!) A huge living room, dining room and kitchen with a ''lets hang out here'' feel. For the sun gods - did i mention the very private pool? For the shoppers - you can almost see the Fashion Square. For the foodies - all the best restaurants are just minutes away. For the golfers' - a block away from the 9-hole public course & driving range. For the walkers/bikers - right next to the greenbelt! For the work-at-homes - a large partners desk. And for the baseball fanatics - a walk from Scottsdale Stadium and Giants spring training. It really is the perfect location for whatever you're into! This single-level patio home is completely surrounded by a high privacy wall with a swimming pool in the front yard. It has a master bedroom with adjoining bathroom and one additional bedroom and bathroom. The large living room has Spanish architectural details such as a vaulted ceiling and ceramic tiles and is decorated with Southwestern flair. The living room opens out to the pool, the covered patio, and to a spacious Arizona room for comfortable indoor/outdoor living. There are sleeping accommodations for a total of six occupants (queen-size bed, two twin beds, and one queen-size sleeper sofa). The kitchen has a full-size fridge, gas range and views of an interior atrium. There is a formal dining room or guests can choose to eat outdoors at the pool. A gas grill is located on the patio. Finally, there is an Arizona room for extra toys or guests. The house has an attached two-car garage with laundry facilities. Three bikes an assortment of pool toys are provided.
This property has a 30-day minimum rental requirement. Rates vary based on seasonal demand.

Nice location near the Greenbelt!

We stayed at this house during the month of March. It’s located a block off the Greenbelt, so it was great for walking and biking. The theme of the house decoration is Western and very fun!

Great place, cant wait to come back

This is a great house in a convenient neighborhood with close access to golf, highways and shopping. It was very private and had all of the amenities that you would want in a Vrbo. We spend a lot of time in the area and will keep this property on our favorites list for next time.

Great location

The house is located a block and a half away from Indian Wash, a great place for a run, walk, and bike ride. It’s a nice walk through the park to Old Scottsdale. The neighborhood is nice, and the house is quite private. The pool area is the highlight that gets nice morning sun through the latter afternoon. We did move some furnishing items out of the sunroom so that we could create our happy hour space on one end and an exercise area on the other end. The house is decorated in a southwest theme which is fun and interesting, however there are some items that should be cleared out. The Owner was prompt with any questions we had.

The perfect Scottsdale Experience. Everything was perfect, clean, comfortable, plenty of towels and linens, Anything you could need was provided. Very tastefully decorated, outside area and pool were perfect and private. I hope to be back soon!

A great place for a couple of weeks!

The property is in a great location - with a great owner. Very southwestern decor. Love the privacy of the pool. A couple of minor recommendations (already shared with owner) - upgrade cable to include the next level of channels. Was very disappointed not to have access to ESPN, the Golf Channel and HGTV (among others) - couldn't even watch Monday night football. Add a Keurig - just easier to use...We would definitely go back to this property!

Dark and Depressing, Not Clean

My stay here was cut short by 2 weeks because this was the most uncomfortable and dirty house I've ever rented. Junk, furniture, junk everywhere. The porch was used for storage, the furniture was all dark, no bright lights anywhere. The skylights lenses only allowed for yellow (dirty) light to come through. There was a poop looking substance on the wall next to the toilet in one of the bathrooms, the pool deck is not clear of hoses and lawn implements, the dishwasher doesn't work/ the dishes were all NASTY, the refrigerator didn't keep cold, the ceiling in the master bedroom leaked (twice), the 'sunken' bathtub in the master is a joke - it is a regular bathtub which has been sunk into the floor with no steps, they left 2 towels - 2! And the garage smelled horribly of garbage. The washer/dryer didn't work and, especially the dryer​ was useless (you had to tape the dryer vent in place). I was a last minute booking and they told me that there would be "a little extra furniture" in the house. This was an understatement! Each room was crowded and looked like hoarders lived there. And, while I felt I was owed a refund for the last 2 weeks, the owners were more than happy to keep every, single penny.

Wonderful!

The house is amazing, beautifully decorated throughout with a Southwest/Spanish theme and has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect, close to restaurants and shopping. John, you are awesome!

Overall a good property

The SW and Native American artifacts, antiques and furniture in the house are exceptional. The pool area is totally private with a large bbq and sitting area. But the bathrooms could be updated. The main bath has a tub that you need to step down in order to get into the tub or take a shower. It is about 2+ feet that you have to step down to get into the tub. If you have joint (hip or knee) issues, this will be difficult. Also the other bath has paint peeling from the ceiling. We had 2 issues that needed an owner response and John quickly took take care of the issues.

Very Relaxing

Really enjoyed my 6 week stay at John's place in Scottsdale. The house is very comfortable, clean and has everything needed for an enjoyable stay, the pool although not heated supplies an area which is great for relaxing or entertaining The surrounding area is very quiet, and the neighbors I met were all very friendly The location is fantastic. It's a short drive to the freeway, a block to the shops, backs onto golf course,, and is short walk ( or free shuttle) to festivities in old town Scottsdale or to catch a Giants spring season game. Would stay here again

Great house, perfect location, helpful owner

I stayed 30+ days in this wonderful house in south Scottsdale. It was perfect for me and had everything that I needed including a refreshing pool in a private setting. There were a few hiccups but John was very receptive and prompt in resolving these problems. John was always available by text or phone if I had any questions. The area is quiet and never found any noise problem. Easy access to the 101 and old town and if you are a golfer, it is close to many great courses in the east and south (Eagle mountain, Ak Chin, Talking Stick). The house is equipped with everything you need including a private garage with washer and dryer. The BBQ in the pool area was a nice touch. I would highly recommend staying here anywhere from a single person to a family of six. It'll be my first choice when I return to the greater Phoenix area!

Family reunion

This home was the perfect place for our family reunion. The pool and patio, the spacious family room, den, Arizona room and the dining/kitchen area gave us plenty of room to visit yet have our own space. The bedrooms are large and beds comfortable as is the hide-a-bed. We were able to walk to restaurants and old town, including museums and the library. Two grocery stores are a hop, skip and jump away. The bus stop is around the corner for adventures a bit farther from the center of town. We will return!

Superb vacation home

This beautiful home has everything you want for a warm weather get-a-way. The home is spacious and beautifully appointed. The pool is wonderful any time of day. We liked the proximity of restaurants and old town. We could walk to so many excellent attractions. The public golf course is literally around the corner. The home has southwest charm plus privacy. We had a marvelous time and will return soon.

This house has a unique look. I was drawn to its Spanish styling - quite unlike the mid-century moderns that Scottsdale is known for. My furnishings and art compliment this home's architecture by introducing both Southwestern and Moorish themes. And it is very private, safe, and quiet - the entire property is surrounded by a tall wall.

I like to bike and jog along the greenway that backs up to this community. Trails here stretch from North Scottsdale and Bell Road to downtown Tempe and beyond where the trail becomes a dirt path that you can follow all the way to downtown Phoenix along the Salt River. Coronado Golf Course (9-hole) also backs up to the community, but other golf courses - like Talking Stick, the Biltmore, and the Phoenician - are not far away. Papago Park is close and has the zoo, the botanical garden, picnic grounds and nature trails. Sky Harbor airport is also easy to get to. I was delighted to learn that two free trolleys stop a block away from the house and can take you all over south Scottsdale, including Fashion Square mall and Old Town every 20 minutes. The Eldorado Aquatic and Fitness Center is a few blocks away and offers affordable swimming, fitness classes, and a workout gym six days a week.
