Good Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is in a great location. We have stayed at Del Mar Beach Club four times now for our annual family vacation. While this unit is a great location and has several pluses, just be warned it is showing signs of heavy rental use and a need for some handy man work.

Love the Beach Club

The Del Mar Beach Club is great! Our was on the east side so it was a 5 minute walk to the dog beach whether you went down the street or used the clubs private beach access. The property is quiet and feels safe. There is off street parking. One thing I would mention. If stairs are a problem for you, the only foot traffic way out of the parking garage is via the stairs

Beach week

Easy check in/out, spacious unit within walking distance of the private access to the beach. No a/c, but keeping the shades drawn during the day, fans going and the windows open at night kept things cool.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our goal in being in Solana Beach was to be away from the snow and ice of the northeast. We are not fussy or demanding but felt that the unit we rented not suitable in terms of furnishings and amenities (cookware, glassware, an iron, etc. It be satisfactory for the owner but more care should be made if the unit is to be rented.

That was annoying, as we have kids that can walk in on us. Missing remote for one of the TV's, and the cable remotes don't work well for the tv functions. Receiver remote was dead, with nasty battery acid protruding from the remote. Small things, besides the locks. Overall we had a great experience.

We spent lots of time at the beautiful pools with our grandchildren and enjoyed the beach. We played pickleball and appreciated the location close to many restaurants. It worked out very well!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the first time we stayed in this rental. The condo was clean and we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend getting a new shower head for the 2nd shower. The water trickled out of that one so we only used the master shower. There are also no locks on the bathroom doors. It also gets VERY warm in this condo during the day when the sun is out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

Week stay

It is a nice place. Close to beach. Quiet and not a lot of traffic. Only suggestion i would make is maybe stating that there is a bit of a walk from parking to condo. My wife and i are both seniors and have hard time walking long distance and doing a lot of stairs. Maybe put a little disclaimer that walking and stairs are required from garage. Other than that nice place and had a good time.

Amazing location, Great Value

There's no getting around the fact that this was the cheapest 3 bedroom in the area and, as such, the condo is not some incredible, pristine home. The appliances and fixtures were a bit outdated, but they all worked just fine. The sliding glass door in the master did break on our first attempt to open it (the handle sheared off) but it wasn't a huge issue. The neighborhood and amenities are fantastic. Walking to the beach and biking to various shops/restaurants was a breeze, and we truly enjoyed our time there.

Great Stay Near the Beach

There were a few things broken or that required attention, and I emailed the management about this items. Hopefully they are taken care of. We'd absolutely stay in this unit again.

However, this year the person at the front desk was very rude when I turned in the keys. She was very accusatory and charged us $100 for turning in the keys late. I am okay with the late fee but I don’t need her to accuse me and treat me like a child rubbing it in my face... we had an emergency and our daughter was in the hospital which is why we were late turning in the keys. Like I said I have been a customer for many years and we didn’t even get a thank you

Overall good

dryer vent needed to be attached and one of the blinds in the master bedroom was missing. They came and adapted a blind from downstairs to upstairs and hooked up the dryer vent right away. I got a message that they redid the blind but the replacement was a bit long and it was still there. It did not bother us the way they patched it together.

Issues with Nice View

Housing development had some issues with things that were advertised NOT being available. We did get a small refund for this inconvenience but had we known, I would have found a different place! House had some cleaning issues as well. That was addressed before, during and still on-going. I am still NOT satisfied with the response I received for that area. Beach was close but down a cliff so many many many many stairs to get to the beach. That needs to be advertised because if you have knee issues there is no way to do those stairs!

Reviewer Comments: Not the first time staying in this property, but it needs a lot of things fixed. Sliding glass door barely opens a foot. The screen in bd on far left kept falling completely off and almost fell onto patio as it needs to be replaced. Etc, etc. I already turned in a list of problems at check out. The unit was NOT clean at check in. If it was a hotel I’d of checked out. Also cars vandalized and broken into in supposed secure parking. Homeless people laying in the parking lot on Coast HWY side. DMBC has gone downhill and is no longer a safe place

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was misrepresented in the advertisement as oceanfront. In fact, it was part of a condo complex with only a few units on the ocean. We were across the street with no view, much less direct access. The walls of mirrors made the interior appear much larger than it actually was. The condo had the smell of dirty carpets and heavy use, no pride of ownership here. One fan was not working and we were able to go to the office to get a replacement. The internet access was not functioning and we wasted a day of our vacation trying to get it fixed. The staff was not readily avaiable or qualified to help with this problem. I learnt that agents may facilitate rentals, but they are not in the business of providing services to renters. They represent the owners and renters beware!

There needs to be a standard set for when people are looking to lease a place, and pay the type of weekly money requested weekly to cover a dump like this. The floors/carpets are disgusting. The showers/tubs are in need of a major overhaul. The lighting in the family room needs to be upgraded...2 small lamps in that area does not make it good for reading or visiting. My little 6-year old was bitten by a spider in this place and required doctor care to get this under control. She is Type 1 Diabetic and that interfered with her levels making it difficult to handle. My wife and daughters were also bit by smaller bugs/pests and at night from the same unit. SOMETHING needs to be done with this place! You should not continue to lease this property until th owners get this taken care of. We are not happy campers...and have rented through Stubbs many times prior. Looks like things have gone south with accepting and selling units like this. Please let me know status.
