Beautiful property in a quiet area.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was great from the furniture to the grill. The only issue we had at all was trying to keep the water pressure up with too many people trying to shower at once. The fireplaces were nice in the unexpected chill of Labor Day weekend, and there was plenty of space so we didn't feel crowded with 8 people.

This is a not a Wonderful Place

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Horrible, unclean, basic things like Refrigerator, bathroom doors etc not in working condition. Actually the bathroom doors do not lock at all. The owner should spend some money in getting basic needs in place before putting this back on rent.

Stay at a Wonderful Place

We really enjoyed our time at a Wonderful Place. The house is ideally very close to the beach and other parks in the area. We hiked, mountain biked, and saw the water falls. The house is beautiful and spacious with a hot tub. My only complaint is that the house desperately needs a good cleaning. It was dusty, humid, the kitchen drawers were full of crumbs and coffee grinds, the cabinets had stains from spills, one of the bath rooms was clearly dirty and we had to clean it ourselves, the fans are completely caked in dust as we’re the window sills. I even called in advance to let them know about allergies and requested a good dusting before. For the price we payed it was disappointing to have to clean the house when we arrived.

Long weekend Getaway

Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the house. The 5 queen beds and the layout of the rooms fit our needs very well. There were some things in the house that needed more cleaning such as the ceiling fans. When they were turned on the dust on them flew around in the air and the sleeper sofa in the basement was full of food crumbs when pulled out. However, most things in the house were in working order and it is a very nice house. We would enjoy staying there again!

Deep Creek 2020

Property was great in size, however some upgrades are needed with appliances, furniture and some other decor to include the window blinds. The plumbing was a huge issue with water pressure while showering. Also the driveway could have used some salt treatment prior to arrival.

Disappointing

1. House needs a good cleaning and updating. Ceiling fans in living area CAKED with dust and dirt. 2. Carpeting on stairs filthy. 3. A lot of dirt, crumbs, and baby rattles under couch. Who knows when it was last moved? 4. Inconsistent packaging of towels - no hand towels in at least 2 packets. 5. Stove needs repaired...3 burners work. Positives: 1. Close to multiple state parks 2. No need to stop somewhere to check in. Able to go straight to house.

Won't be booking here again.

This rental was just okay. But, it needs an overall good cleaning for dust on fan blades, dirty carpet, and maintenance for things like unsafe curling ends on area carpets, doors not opening/closing or locking easily, lightbulbs missing or different color temps, burners on stove not working. Just not a perfect rental to me.

Great Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great place for a last minute rental needed for family coming in for a funeral. The place was immaculate, the beds comfy and was the perfect size for my cousins and I. Taylor Made was great working to find a place that would rent for only the 2 nights needed and left a very nice condolence card, very thoughtful and appreciated. Would recommend this rental without a doubt.

Good location and layout. Needs a bit of TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first vacation at Deep Creek. We needed a centrally located place with five bedrooms and this property fit our needs. I think this property would be outstanding with some TLC. It definitely needs to be cleaned better. Screen to deck need to be fixed. Dryer vent need seems to be clogged. Vacuum cleaner was all clogged and had to be emptied. There is a minor problem with carpenter ants and the ground hog is still under the front porch. Like I said this is not a bad property. With a bit more attention it would be great.

DCL July stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at DCL. The accommodations were perfect for the 9 of us. Very clean and spacious. Kids (and some adults) had a great time on the raft pulled by 115 hp pontoon boat (although a bit pricey). A minor problem with downstairs shower (no hot water). Also, a groundhog home is under front stairs. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub (too tired). A bit put off by the extra charge for early check in since the rental was unoccupied the previous day.

Annual Christmas Family Holiday Gathering

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to "A Wonderful Place" in the Deep Creek area for several years for our Christmas family gathering. Our extended family from Columbus, OH, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, PA areas has concluded that this is a reasonable location to meet each year. The house and its amenities are always clean and well maintained for our purposes. We mostly bring our own meals and share preparations of them to every ones satisfaction. There are enough local attractions to meet our varied needs as well.

Truly a Wonderful Place

Each fall we convene for a weekend of fun and fellowship with friends and family. The house is stocked with most necessities and offers plenty of space for everyone to spread out.

Its truly was "A Wonderful place"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A group of us came in town to compete in the Savageman Triathlon Series. The house was very close to the race site and great for all. Every room has a queen bed and there are 4 bathrooms which was nice for privacy. We would surely come back and stay here again.

No More Taylor Made Rentals for Us!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is nice, except for the water problems I had and refrigerator door not shutting and ice maker broken which then leaked into refrig the entire time. The problem was with me having to spend hour first night of my vacation calling then hours the next day waiting for maintenance, staff could not seem to understand that Im paying 300 dollars a day for this place and not happy that on vacation away from my home Im still sitting around waiting for a maintenance guy to fix someone else's house. With no discount for my troubles and the booking problems we incurred we will never book with Taylor made again!! But the house was nice. Johnny and manager Chris from reservations your one of the main reasons we will never book from you again! hope you enjoyed the last 2 grand from us you will ever see!! Could of done this for years with you but now we will find another company to book our deep creek lake vacations with! Should of helped out a bit more then you did!

Vaca in the Mountains

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First off the water was rust colored. Three pots of water boiled trying to get rid of the orange color it turned. The sinks and tubs were all orange as well. I know now that it was a result of well water but it would have been nice to know before hand of that fact. I also colored my hair before the vacation and the water oxidized my hair so it went from blonde to rust......The furniture needed to be cleaned along with the rugs. I spent a good part of my stay cleaning.The coffee pots were outdated(hello Keurig)The sheets were stiff and scratchy until I washed them myself and my daughter's sheets had dead gnats in them. The pillows were like sleeping on cement slabs.I was expecting a little more luxury for my vacation for the price we paid.

A Not So Wonderful Place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Deep Creek is a wonderful place to visit. Many things to do. While the house had many nice amenities, the tap water was way to metallic. We've rented many places in Deep Creek and never had that problem before. A ceiling light globe fell off its fixture and broke and a ceiling fan light fixture was dangling by a wire in the master bedroom. There was a constant drip in the kitchen sink. Taylor Made was exemplary in their customer care. However, we were terribly disappointed in the owners response to a family emergency to try and reschedule the trip for a few weeks later.
