Built in 1998, this custom built Taos adobe vacation rental home is the epitome of charm and artfully stated elegance. Sparkling clean and made of all natural authentic materials, the floors are handsome Mexican saltillo tile, the ceilings are all natural traditional wood vigas. The interior walls feature soft, flowing rounded plaster lines with a lovely sculptured kiva fireplace. Large picture windows allow for plenty of light, warmth and spectacular views of the Taos Mountain Range. The furnishings are delightfully southwestern and colorful. A cheerful and complete kitchen with serve-over counter has custom cabinets and Italian marble tile. The Patios (one with shaded portico) allow outdoor dining and relaxation spaces, while the large private hot tub serves as a focal point for relaxation and enjoyment offering spectacular daytime mountain views and million dollar night sky views. Casita Romantica is located 5 minutes north of Taos, NM on the way to Taos Ski Valley. There are several wonderful restaurants nearby, including a fine northern Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a New Mexican restaurant/dance spot with live music, a pizza shop and an excellent Continental bakery/deli/coffee house. A ski-rental shop and a white-water rafting company are close by also. Ideal for a honeymoon, intimate Taos getaway, or a family vacation. You will love the hot tub views and relaxing atmosphere!

Relaxing

We had such a relaxing time in Casita Romantica. The location was out of town, what we wanted. It was quiet, peaceful and beautiful in the area. The Casita was as advertised, and it was so very well appointed. It would be hard to complain about there not being something you needed. The decorations were lovely and appropriate for the region. Looking out the windows and seeing the mountains was beautiful and relaxing. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Nice relaxing property

Overall secluded and primarily quiet experience. No one staying in neighboring house so it could be different depending on that but neighborhood in general was very mellow. Property was clean and as described. Good outdoor area with room to eat, grill and hot tub. Lots of windows and light to make it a bright and airy experience. Property does sit close to a major road so there is traffic noise if youā€™re sensitive to that. Super easy check in and out.

Cute Little Cottage

We enjoyed our stay and the bed was very comfortable. However, the home is right next to a major road and the road noise is very loud. The bathroom is small, and the toilet is very close to the ground and very narrow - and it's hard to get in and out of that spot when you are older. The house is situated low, so there is not a lot of air flow in the summer and the home stays too warm. Other than that, the home is well-appointed and tidy.

Reviewer Comments: this was my second stay at casita romantica - i love this casita and it location! you feel secluded but you are a short car ride from town and you can take many hikes and bike rides from the casita directly. this time , i cooked in more than before and i found the casita well equipped . Also early morning coffee with the sun coming up over the mountains cannot be beaten and nighttime stars are beautiful because there is no ambient light

We have rented from premier properties before. Sadly we were disappointed. The place could of been cleaner. Pulled back sheets to find black hair. Shower had mold in it. Not all the jets worked on the hot tub. We actually left a day early ā˜¹ļø

Weekend getaway

Authentic Taos. Beautiful vigas. Full kitchen amenities. Secluded but close to all the things to do. Lovely little casita. Only downside is lack of cooling. No swamp cooler or AC. House was very comfortable except between 2:00- 5:00. Ceiling fans help a lot

It has a small square shower, everything you need as far as kitchen utensils, and beautiful view of a snow capped mountain top in May. We had a house situated on the right and in the back seperated by coyote fencing. Very quiet neighborhood. You can hear and see traffic on route 522. The hot tub was nice and you could see the stars at night. I would recommend this sweet home. It was very easy to park, unload, and the location was perfect. Not far from town.

Peaceful stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Casita Romantica is a hidden gem. Follow the written instructions carefully to find it at the end of a gravel road. The nearby houses are positioned very well and all have fences giving plenty of privacy. There is a feeling of seclusion despite some road noise. The house was very clean and spacious with lots of natural light. Artistic decor and thoughtful touches are everywhere, including bathrobes for the hot tub. Taos and surrounding areas are wonderful: Taos Pueblo tour, Rio Grande Gorge bridge at sunset, shops and galleries, hiking near Ski Valley (we summited Mt Wheeler), ChimayĆ³ restaurant and historic church, Parcht wine bar (fabulous), brunch at Michaelā€™s Kitchen, Doc Martinā€™s (great atmosphere, live music, and margaritas - food was good but overpriced). We enjoyed talking to Native people at the Pueblo, Dana, owner and tea mixer of Tea.O.Graphy, the sommelier at Parcht, and Pat Woodall, the artist at his gallery. Will return!
