The home occupies one level but includes two structures that are connected by a charming outdoor hallway. It also boasts a sparkling freshwater pool and huge enclosed backyard, where you can cool off with a fun umbrella drink, take a dip in the pool, stroll the grounds, or just catch a few rays.

One side of the home features a fantastic master bedroom complete with king-sized bed, satellite TV, a separate sitting area, and a gorgeous ensuite with walk-in shower and ample counter and storage space. There’s even a private patio, where you can enjoy cool evening breezes as you gaze out over the pool and lushly landscaped lawn.

The second side of this vacation getaway is home to the remaining three bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, cozy dining area, and comfortable living room. Here you can relax on the large sofa, tune in to the cable-ready flat-screen TV, or simply finish that book you started reading on the plane.

The kitchen is ideal for preparing your own meals—the island has no shortage of fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood—and appliances of every size have been provided for your convenience. There’s also a breakfast bar when you want a less formal option that the dining room table, which seats six.

One of your sleeping options includes a pretty bedroom with two twin beds, while the remaining bedrooms have full-sized beds. There’s also a marvelous soaking tub in one of the three bathrooms, which you will undoubtedly enjoy after a long day of all those great “S” words: sightseeing, snorkeling, swimming, shopping or SCUBA diving.

Island House has a distinct advantage over most private homes—and even some hotels—on the island: namely, the freshwater pool. The entire backyard is gorgeous, in fact. The garden is colorful and well-maintained, benches are plentiful, and the mosaic tiles are simply stunning. There’s even a delightful walking path, lined with tall palm trees.

And don’t forget: downtown Cozumel is just a heartbeat away, where you can enjoy the dozens of fine restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and more. You can also find a dozen or more tour guides who are more than willing to help you explore the underwater beauty of our incredible island.
