'Red Rose Cottage, in beautiful Sidmouth, East Devon'

Red Rose Cottage is a minutes walk from the High Street, yet in a secluded quiet location. A real 'home from home'. With parking for a medium sized car and a private courtyard garden it is a perfect base for a holiday in glorious Sidmouth, and from this year you can now bring your beloved dog to join in the fun.

The style of Red Rose is classic and comfortable. A place to relax, sit back and enjoy your break. Our cottage is furnished and equipped to provide comfort, with everyday essentials and so much more.

It has a smart TV, books, DVDs and games to keep you entertained, and a really good WiFi connection.

The sleeping arrangements are flexible and the second floor bedroom has a choice between a super king or two singles and feather or hollow fibre pillows. With quality bed linen and towels included to make your break that little bit easier to enjoy.

The welcome pack is our way to get your holiday off to a good start, and we have details of places to go, suggestions about where to eat and drink and a whole collection of other ideas. We know that many people are return visitors to Sidmouth so any fresh ideas for us and our guests are always welcome.

We are always happy to have a chat pre booking and if you need any assistance while staying with us just give us a call.

Red Rose Cottage was delightful. Very central for the town, shops and 6 minutes walk to sea front. The house was clean and cosy and well equipped and we were made very welcome.

A gem of a house right in the centre of sidmouth, 2 minute walk to the town yet so quiet! Comfortable and clean,well equipped especially the kitchen. Our family including 3 teenage boys loved our stay in red rose cottage and would definitely go back.

Everything about the house ticked all the boxes.The only slight problem was the parking was a bit tricky, but that couldn’t be helped given the location.The welcome pack was excellent and most appreciated.Thanks for everything.

The cottage is well cared for and in a central position. It was well equipped and the hosts seemed to have thought of everything. They had even baked a cake for us!

Gemütliches und komfortables Cottage in „a very British seaside town“

Wir haben die Woche in Sidmouth sehr genossen! Das Städtchen ist süß und sehr Britisch. Das Cottage liegt zentral und trotzdem ruhig. Das Meer erreicht man in fünf Minuten zu Fuß. Die Ausstattung ist einfach einwandfrei, es gibt nichts was es nicht gibt ! Die Betten, das Badezimmer, die Küche, der kleine Innenhof etc. - alles einfach perfekt! Und in der Küche warteten sogar Kekse, ein ganzer Schokoladenkuchen und eine Flasche Sekt! Super Gastgeber!

The house was in a perfect location - a few minutes walk to the beach and the shops - but away from the hustle and bustle. Spotlessly clean, easy to communicate with the owners and everything you could need was in the home for a perfect relaxing break!

Superb Sidmouth

This property offers everything for the visitor's needs and more with a very comprehensive 'Welcome' pack so we would have loved to have stayed longer but will have to wait for another time. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.

What a great find!

Stayed for a week with my parents who are in their 80s. We all loved the house, Richard had thought of everything you could need in this wonderful home. The cake, shortbread and fizz was such a lovely touch. Very comfortable home from home. Location could not be better. We loved the walks from the house, right in town but with country walks from the house within a couple of minutes. So well appointed. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Seaside treat in beautiful Sidmouth

My partner, myself and our little dog stayed at Rose Cottage for 3 nights over a weekend. We had a fabulous time, the house was in a perfect position, in a quiet backstreet just off the main road. The house was beautifully presented, great shower, comfy bed and a cute little outside courtyard. The kitchen was very well equipped too.We had treats left for us to enjoy, cake, shortbread and prosecco!We had great weather and were able to walk along the beach and sit outside on the seafront for breakfast!Would definitely recommend walking along The Byes, so very pretty.Would definitely recommend staying in this perfect seaside home.

Well appointed cottage in Prime downtown location. Excellent equipped and spotlessly clean. Parking space access was very tight and interrupted for several days by nearby roadworks.

Fabulous

The 5* says it all! A fabulous stay at Red Rose Cottage and we will definitely be returning in the not too distant future. The cottage was lovely and had a very homely feel. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, and a lot more. We have stayed in many cottages over the years, I don't think we have ever been in one that was as so well stocked as Red Rose with kitchen/bathroom items that you usually have to take with you or buy when you arrive! Richard really has thought of everything you need for a stay. The treats that greeted us upon arrival were a lovely touch and really appreciated after a long journey! We very much look forward to returning. All in all cannot fault anything and can't wait to return. Thanks again :-)

Lovely property in great location

The house and Sidmouth were lovely. House very comfortable. Access road to property is narrow, and drive not big enough for 4x4 but parking close by, including High Street which is free from Saturday 6pm until Monday 10am. Richard was a great host.

Red Rose Cottage is superb!

Wonderful accommodation! Great communication from Richard. Set up at Red Rose cottage is perfect...if they haven't provided it you dont need it. We felt at home straight away and relaxed into our holiday. Arrival treats were a lovely surprise. Would definitely book again.

Perfect cottage for a stay in Sidmouth. It had all we needed and more so many lovely touches! Communication before was brilliant and with a parent whose blind the accurate description and explanations of parking etc made it so stress free. The location also fab for everything the car never moved. We are definitely coming again.

We just love Sidmouth! Having been frequent visitors for many years the charm of Sidmouth never faded, the appeal only increased. Spending time in the town and surrounding area is always pleasant, on a bright November day, enjoying an ice cream in the summer or having a potter through the streets leading up to Christmas - every season in Sidmouth is a pleasure.

Having looked at many properties in Sidmouth we just knew that Red Rose was ideal when we walked through the door. A courtyard garden that gets the sun, three bright bedrooms, right in the heart of Sidmouth. The bonus of a parking space, the secluded yet central location. It was just what we were looking for.

We wanted a holiday cottage that was homely and comfortable. Where the furniture was chosen because we think it looks well together, not because it had become redundant in someone else's home, the little things matter.

In January 2022, we had new carpets throughout, and a walk in shower refit in the bathroom - and having road tested it, I can honestly say it is perfect!

We really hope that you enjoy looking at the cottage, and if you choose to stay that you have a really good time in comfortable, relaxing surroundings.
