It is a romantic place to snuggle up with your sweetheart and also has a loft the kids will love. If you need a place to work while on a "flexcation" you have hi speed internet that is designated for this condo.
Few condo complexes on the mountain offer the fantastic mountain views that High Chalet Condos does. Walk around the grounds and see all the way to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge and Douglas Lake out near the interstate. Watch the skiers coming down the slopes and zip liners flying from one mountain top to another at Ober Mountain from our windows and balcony and enjoy the awesome views of Mt. LeConte!
Our condo is quite relaxing with comfy Lazy Boy rocker recliner and sofa also with recliners and a big screen TV in the living room and another flat screen 40in TV in the downstairs bedroom. This condo has a cabin feel with pine board walls and an elk theme. We also installed beautiful granite countertops. We are doing all we can to make this a special place for our guests so that they will want to visit time and time again. We have many "regulars" that book every year and consider this their Gatlinburg oasis!
Sit on the balcony first thing in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and the views of the clouds drifting through the mtns. Watch as wild life, (which often includes bears) roam through the complex and watch the chairlifts go up the mtn at Ober Mtn Ski Resort.
Enjoy the heated pool (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) or relax in a nice warm hot tub or sauna in the pool area year-round. Nestle into a comfy recliner to read a book or to surf the web, as you unwind from a day of sightseeing or shopping. The electric fireplace will lend a nice atmosphere for your evening.
The condo is very close to The Smoky Mountain National Park, where you can experience the beauty via an auto tour or by hiking one of the many trails to a waterfall, or to panoramic overlooks. Spend the day in Gatlinburg where you will find plenty shopping, dining, shows, museums, the Skybridge, Anakeesta and Ripley's Aquarium. Nearby Pigeon Forge hosts Dollywood Theme Park and splash park, outlet mall shopping, live shows, museums, helicopter tours and amusement go cart and mini golf fun for kids of all ages!
High Chalet Condos are in the Chalet Village area near the top of the mountain and they offer beautiful mountain views as you walk along the grounds. The condo is only about a mile down to Ober Mountain which offers year round family fun and it is a short 15 minute drive (just over 3 miles) to downtown Gatlinburg. Be aware that bears often cross the road so drive carefully. The road is one of two main roads up the mountain but is winding and steep at times so be sure to be alert when going up and down. You get used to it I promise, just stay on the main roads with yellow lines in the center. Once in the complex you will find parking near the entrance to the stairwell going up to our unit.
Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10 am. There is a camera outside near the front door to document arrivals and departures. On time check in and check out gives our cleaning crew time to get things fresh and clean between guests. We aim to keep both our units nice and clean. We go above and beyond to make our condos the best vacation home our guests have ever had!
Also we go above and beyond to make sure our condo is as clean as possible, an electronic air purifier called I Wave is installed into our central ac ducts for extra protection for our guests. Unlike some owners, we have monthly pest control inspect for any and all insects. We use this condo as our own home at times throughout the year and are super careful to keep it nice and clean.
