Amazing house but really unpleasant owner

The pool is perfect with amazing view & the BBQ corner is really pleasant. 2 bedrooms are nice, the other ones really less. But the communication with the owner is just awful, a really unpleasant women, who made us pay 5 glasses 15€ each and 200€ cleaning for smoking inside which was absolutely not the case. It's only money, money, money... It's a pity because the house was raising the bar...

Fantastic house + excellent hosts

6 adults and 3 children aged 6,12 and 15 stayed in this fantastic house for a week starting on the 17th of July 2016. A spacey, and very well-equipped house holding high modern standards and comfort - with the nice pool as the natural centre on the outside. At the same time the house reminds you about its ancient history going back to the 15th century. All in all, a fantastic property located on the top of the village hill with its unique view over the local area + the distant Montserrat mountains. Castellvi de Rosanes is a very small, but nice village - different from the busy beach villages along the Catalanian coast, and with us as the only tourists. Friendly people everywhere and a very high level of service and food standard in all shops. Rose and Glenn were excellent hosts providing lots of information in their daily e-mails to us about events & what to do both locally and in the Barcelona area. They even organized numerous taxi transports (as we decided not to rent cars) + ordering food in the local shops, etc. for us. They were both extremely helpful / service minded and contributed a lot in making our vacation a memory for life. This place is highly recommended for all - except the ones that absolutely need to have sand between their toes and be at a crowded, busy beach all day (and every day). We all had a fantastic stay, and will consider coming back next year.

Great villa for a family vacation

Beautiful secluded villa and grounds. Loved the pool. Lots of space for 11 of us to stay (adults and children aged 9-18). Highly recommended, suggest renting a car to visit places like Barcelona, Sitges (beaches) and Montserrat.

Wonderful, relaxing holiday house.

The house was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The pool area was perfect with lots of beds and shady areas. Glenn and Tina were amazing, very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We loved our stay and were very sad to leave! Janet, Oliver and family

A Dream...

My Team and I, a crowd of 7 people, have booked this place for our 5-year office anniversary. None of us has been to Barcelona before. We had such a great time! Our landlords Tina and Glenn kindly adjusted the arriving and departing time, so that we could have an even more stress less time! When we got to the house they took the time and showed us everything around the house. The even saluted is with a bottle of sparkling wine! What delightful people! The place is very spacious, very friendly, you feel like home. The swimming pool is big and everything is super clean! We enjoyed our Coffee in the morning from a Nespresso machine. Tina and Glenn even left a bar of coffee pads and milk for us in the kitchen. Thanks guys! The shampoo, shower gel, soap, the towels were in a beautiful arrangement- just like in a hotel. I really recommend this place for a relaxing vacation in Barcelona! Thank you!

Amazing villa outside of Barcelona

We had an incredible stay at this villa during our family vacation to Spain. There was plenty of room for all of us (including children/babies), and the house and grounds were just beautiful. The details and decor of the home were incredible and we felt like we were staying in a true Spanish villa. The pictures are very accurate, but there are some touches that are even better in person, like the wooden shutters, big beautiful front door lovely architectural details of the home. Glenn and Tina were so hospitable. They were very responsive before and during our stay, and left thoughtful touches for us (like some local peaches and a big bottle of cava since we were celebrating a birthday!) and gave nice recommendations for the local area and Barcelona. The house is at the top of a hill in a tiny village that has just a few necessities as well as an amazing winery. It was an easy drive to Barcelona, Mont Serrat and Sitges, plus some of the wineries in the area. (You definitely need a car to stay here.) Every night we cooked on the BBQ and ate in the garden. The pool was wonderful too. We were worried about temperature in late July, but it got cool every night and we slept with the windows open and enjoyed great breezes. I would highly recommend this home to groups looking to explore the areas around Barcelona. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing house with incredible views, very good and privet locatin

The house was amazing! The location perfect, total privacy there, no neighbors. There is huge swimming pool both incredible views and very nice barbecue area. We received a bottle of cava when we arrived which was perfect. Also the owner, was so kind, he was helping us with instructions where to go and what to do in the area. The nature around is brilliant with plenty of activities to do. The house was very clean. We enjoyed a lot our stay. We are going to repeat for sure!

A lovely place to stay

This is a lovely, large house with a fantastic pool, great outside dining area and wonderful spaces to relax. We were a multigenerational group that likes to alternate days sightseeing with days relaxing by the pool. The house worked out perfectly—it is spacious, comfortable, and well situated for sightseeing in Barcelona (about 35-45 minute drive to the Gothic Quarter, Park Güell), Tarragona (about an hour drive) or Montserrat (about 45 minute drive). The owners were responsive to questions and provided recommendations of things to do and see as well as suggested restaurants. With a car, it is easy to get to from the airport (about 25-30 minute drive). The house is located in a small village with limited grocery options, so a car is definitely recommended to get to a nearby town with multiple shops. One flag is that air conditioning is limited to the kitchen, so not the second and third floor bedrooms. There are, however, numerous fans scattered through the house and lovely large windows. (When we were there in June the temperatures tended to be a few degrees warmer than Barcelona). All in all, we had a wonderful time staying at the house and it worked perfectly for our group.

Excellent property! Glenn was very accommodating and the property was beautiful.

Perfect location between Barcelona, Sitges Beach, Terragona, and La Mara Beach. All easy drives. Property is literally on top of a mountain. Very well kept, and sleeps 12 easy. Nice pool. I would recommend again and again.

The property is spectacular!! Located in a charming village up on a hill with breathtaking views.

First and foremost let me say that our hosts Glen and Rosa are amazing people and it was an absolute pleasure to have had the privilege to stay in their gorgeous villa. From start to finish they went out of their way to accommodate and welcome our family as if we were their own. They are exceptional people. So warm and inviting and make you feel so at home and special. From start to finish any questions we had were answered immediately either via phone call or text and they went above and beyond with some special requests we had asked them to arrange. They also provided plenty of helpful information before our arrival about the area and things to see and do. The villa itself as well as the property are magnificant and well maintained. Everything you would hope for. Located in a tiny village where you get to enjoy that rural feel yet well connected and close enough to Barcelona city. It is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, spacious and private. It was everything we wished it would be and more. It would also be a perfect location to host a private party or special event. I know that we hope to return to Barcelona one day and without a doubt would stay at El Turo again. We loved it! Margaret from New Jersey

Beautiful Spanish villa with modern conveniences

My family and I recently spent a week at the villa, and had a wonderful experience. Given the size of our party – 8 adults and 2 children – we were looking for a property that would provide us with ample space and modern conveniences, without sacrificing the traditional Spanish aesthetic. In all regards, this villa delivered what we were looking for. The house is spacious, with a particularly large master suite, and has an outside, covered dining space that allows for alfresco dining even if an occasional storm passes through (as happened on one night during our stay). While not a negative per se, I ought to mention that as of the time of visiting, there were only three double beds in the house. The fourth bedroom can accommodate a couple, but it has two single beds which we pushed together. The pool is on a lower sun-kissed tier of the property, with an umbrella covered portion for those favoring occasional shade. The grounds are beautiful, and the views of the surrounding countryside are exceptional, especially at sunset. With regard to the location itself, it’s perched on the top of a hill situated on top of a very small village, though the walk there takes only a couple of minutes. There is a small grocery store in the village, but you’re unlikely to use it for much beyond the essentials, so I would strongly recommend renting at least one car in order to be able to make trips to the much larger supermarket in Martorell, which is located a few miles away. There is also a small restaurant in the village which serves tasty, if fairly basic, Spanish food from a small menu (it’s only for lunch though). We cooked on the wood/coal fired BBQ at the house almost every evening, and had a great time. For those looking to dine out every night though, the nearby options are more limited and do involve either driving or ordering taxis, of which there aren’t many. Rosa and Glenn could not have been more helpful, accommodating hosts, both before and during our stay. My mother’s birthday took place while we were there, and Rosa was exceptionally helpful in volunteering to help organize a traditional Spanish meal, complete with seafood paella, cooked by a private chef on the property, the cost for which was around 70 Euro per person (though obviously varies depending on what you order). All in all, I would highly recommend staying at the property if you are looking for a stay-at-home style villa vacation.

Best Villa ever!

We travel a lot and almost every time we rent a house instead of staying in a hotel. This Villa was the best by far! Perfect location: 30 minutes to Barcelona, 30 minutes to beautiful Sitges' beaches, 30 minutes to Monserrat Monastery, many local vineries and great restaurants nearby. Property is located on top oh the hill - beautiful views, light breeze and privacy! The outdoors have many different areas: pool with shaded sitting areas, outdoor fireplace and grill, few outdoor sitting and dining areas! The house is a charming old style spanish Villa, very well remodeled and updated. We are family of 9: 5 adults and 4 kids - plenty of room for all of us to spread out, relax, dine, and sleep (we even haven't used 1 bedroom - that's how big the Villa is). Owners of the Villa deserve the highest praise! They thought through all the details and provided everything you might need and much more. I can't even list all extras that were provided to us! We met owners only once when we arrived, and the rest of the time we communicated by email. They provided best recommendations about placed to visit, restaurants, vineries, beaches. They even ordered a taxi for us on our departure morning at 4:45am! We stayed there for a week from 8th of July. Next time we are in Barcelona - we'll try to book this Villa! Highly recommended!
