Wonderful stay in the heart of Lisbon

This apartment was perfect, and so convenient. The size of the apartment and its layout and facilities were ideal for us, and it was so easy to get to metro stations, bus lines, restaurants, and supermarkets.

Lisbon city break

Apartment was large and airy, nice balcony. Very good position for Metro and buses, Barrios alto and city centre 15 minute walk, but also some very good restaurants nearby.

Jewel in Lisbon

My son and I very much enjoyed having this sweet, spacious apartment as our home base in Lisbon for a week. Wonderful location near fantastic restaurants, cafes, rooftops with views, parks, metro and shops, yet in a quiet neighborhood. The terrace and small kitchen were perfect for dining in on lovely evenings.

Short stay

Geraldo could not have been more helpful in making this a wonderful short stay! The accomodations are as seen in photos and are spacious, clean and easy to access outdoor amenities (great location..not too noisy). Thank you again!!

Great location and everything. Check in process was super easy. We enjoyed everything. We would recommend a way to keep the bed from sliding apart, and the hair dryer from stopping every 10 seconds.

We had a wonderful time at the Altis Suites. Lots of room. Well located area. We especially appreciated the cage near the museum where we had breakfast everyday. The man with the falcon chasing the pigeons away was a pleasant bonus.

Great place to stay in Lisbon!

A very nice apartment in a quiet and beautiful part of town. The apartment was spacious and clean. There is a wonderful balcony. The check in process was easy, Geraldo gave us all the info. we needed and he was very responsive with any questions we had. We couldn’t have had a nicer stay!

Great Location.

This is a lovely apartment in a great location! Within walking distance to almost everything in Lisbon. Close to metro/bus stops as well. Very clean. Being associated with the five star hotel next door, you also can take advantage of most of those amenities too. Thanks Geraldo for sharing your apartment!

Lisbon at Easter

Geraldo was a gracious and prompt host who communicated effectively and efficiently. We enjoyed the neighborhood especially which is accessible to Baixa (about 15” - 20” walk along a beautiful promenade) and other areas without the bustle and noise. The apartment is clean and next door to Altis Suites hotel, where there is fine cappuccino and pastries each morning, good food, and a helpful waitstaff. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect

The apartment was perfect. It was large, very comfortable, and very clean. There is a lovely terrace which we didnt get to use, unfortunately, as it was too cold during our stay. The location is perfect with easy access to the metro to get around. The host was very responsive, easy to contact and quick to act. We really enjoyed our stay here and would be back the next time we are in Lisboa.

Lovely apartment in center of Lisbon.

The property was in an amazing location, close to the metro and walking distance to the center of town. The apartment had a big bedroom with twin beds, a large living room with extra sleeping space and a dining room table, and small but complete kitchenette. The most appealing feature was a huge deck with comfortable chairs for enjoying morning coffee. The owner was responsive when we had questions. The unit is next door to an affiliated large hotel, so front desk staff is available to provide tourist information. We will definitely stay there again!!

Short break

The property was spacious and clean and with the added bonus of being attached to the Hotel and its facilities. The only downside was that the bed was not as described in the profile. It was Two single beds pushed together and two single mattresses. The beds were comfortable, however if I was aware beforehand, I would not have booked.

Wonderful apartment and location

The apartment is exactly as presented in the profile but the size of the rooms still feel so much bigger than you would imagine. For my mum and I, this was a perfect size apartment. Check in and out was simple and the help from the concierge from the adjoining hotel to carry our bags was wonderful. The facilities in the apartment were limited but we still had a couple of meals in whilst we were there. Location is great, if you're happy to walk. It was a 20 minute walk into the historic centre and 30 minutes to the train station. The area is far enough from the busy centre that there was little noise apart from some traffic noise. Overall, we were so happy with this apartment and should we decide to go back to Lisbon we'd definitely consider staying here again.

Outstanding Accommodations

The photos do not do justice for how nice this apartment is! The apartment is roomy, clean, and in a fantastic location. It is within walking distance of two metro stops and that made the city easy to get around. Geraldo is communicative and ensured that everything was ready for our arrival. There are 2 things to be aware of though, and neither is the fault of the apartment. First, like most European homes, the walls are thinner so you do hear a neighbor if the happen to be noisey. Second, the tub / shower is a little higher off the ground so if you are no flexible, the climb in and out can be a little tricky. The overall impression of the unit is, just wow. This is definitely a place we would look to stay at again the next time we are in Lisbon. It made a great home-base to relax in after the days of walking the steep streets of Lisbon.

8 nights in Lisbon

This was a lovely apartment not far from Avenida metro station. The sun shone on the balcony in the mornings - perfect for coffee and pastel de nata before setting out for the day. The living room was large and comfortable for the 2 of us to relax in the evenings after walking round the sights during the day. We were able to get to bus stops and the metro easily. There were lots of restaurants nearby. We also shopped in a local Aldi to be able to make snacks in the apartment. It was handy to have the fridge. We didn't use the hob. The bedroom was large with plenty of storage space to unpack and comfortable bed. It was nice to be attached to the hotel for security and ease of checking in and out. We used the rooftop bar, but didn't try out any restaurants or room service. All in all a great, good sized apartment for a fabulous week in Lisbon.

Fabulous Apartment in Lisbon!

There isn't enough room here to really define the most wonderful stay in this remarkable city. My wife and I chose well. We were in the heart of Lisbon - Metro, restaurants, sights, food and wine. The apartment complex could not be more convenient next to its hotel sister. Remarkable and the friendliest of staff made it all the more enjoyable. I could say it was nearly effortless. Easy access, clean, comfortable and user friendly. The first thing I noticed entering the apartment to my right and down was the exact Nespresso machine we have at home - at that point, I knew ;-) we'd chosen wisely. Coffee addict here. Plenty of room, cozy, lovely and airy balcony, Full kitchen for those of us who like to cook, but we mostly were out and eating and drinking everything Portuguese. Frankly, I can cook at home! Senor Geraldo is the best and most caring host! Would go back in a New York minute. Totally fab!

Stay in Altis Apartment

Apartment location is excellent. The hotel staff are very helpful and Geraldo is a professional and responsive host. It is a great advantage that the apartment was considered to be part of the hotel and we could use hotel services such as concierge and security. The kitchen was actually a kitchenette with a small fridge and no oven and it was very difficult to do any cooking. It is difficult to eat out for a month. Our plan was to cook some simple meals during part of our stay. Another thing was that the people on higher floors threw down their cigarette butts and burned matches which landed in the apartment balcony. This was not Geraldo's fault. A procedure can be developed to handle this issue. We expected to have regular cleaning services included in the fee but we ended up paying extra for cleaning. The absence of laundry facility in the apartment was an inconvenience. I recommend this property and I will certainly consider it for my next trip to Lisbon.

The location and the balcony were the best part of this stay. The property itself was disappointing. The general feel of the apt. was scruffy. Furniture was rather battered, the carpets though vacuumed were quite dirty, with obvious stains and badly needed cleaning. There was so much additional linen stuffed in the closets we couldn't hang our clothes up. The bathroom sink had rusted drains and the tub was badly stained as well. The kitchen was not equipped with either a usable fry pan or spatula. When we called about it, we were told that one would be delivered but it never showed up. It appears that the owner needs to put some money into this place. The walls are shabby and haven't been painted in a long time and the floors were badly scarred. It felt like a old dorm room that had seen better days. We were charged every tax that Lisbon would allow. What I have learned from this experience is that I would rather rent from a woman. This place was a student/man's idea of an accommodation.

The property is in good location and good condition. However, there is no housekeeping though the description and receipt stated that it was included. The owner argued it means only cleaning when we leave. We do not mind cleaning after ourselves, but we need to dispose the garbage, especially in the hot days (and the owner requests to switch off the AC when we are not in the apartment, which means it is unsanitary to leave the garbage in the apartment). Our calls to Expedia did not help as they say the apartment is booked through VRBO though we booked on Expedia). Be very careful with renting an apartment, as the owners want to rent the apartment to you and forget about you and your needs. There is no washing machine, and they gave us four big towels and two small for two people for five days four nights. We had to contact the owner many time to request the garbage to be picked up and clean towels to be delivered ( the place where he said to deposit the garbage cannot be opened without a key which he did not leave to us). Finally, after a lot of negotiations with Expedia and the owner, on the fourth day somebody picked up the garbage and delivered clean towels. For safety reasons, the conditions of housekeeping should be clear and the garbage should be picked up daily.

Notre séjour dans l'appartement de Géraldo était vraiment très bien. Bel appartement propre et très bien situé c'était très conviviable. Nous n'avons pas eu besoin de voiture car tout se fait à pied et à proximité. Nous recommandons fortement cet appartement et nous y retournerions sans problème.
