Great place to stay in Alfama! Close to the city center, great food in the area, we had a great time here. Just needed a little more toilet paper, but overall great.

A wonderful location near to restaurants, the river and many places worth visiting. Paulo, the owner and host is amazing. Very friendly and he gave us lots of information you have a wonderful time in the city. Highly recommend.

Carolyn and Denis were such a marvelous guests! All went so well and it was a pleasure in trying to help them in taking the must out of their stay. They are indeed very funny, polite and friendly persons. Communication as always fantastic since the very first moment, we only have great things to say about Carolyn and Denis and we hope to be able to have the opportunity to welcome them again sometime in the future. Alan was such a marvelous guest and had a perfect respect for the apartment. He was always very polite and with great communication, both before and during his stay. The apartment is great for a short term stay, central location in Alfama and easy to get around. Take the 728 bus to Belém for 2.30 euros. Travel hint: use Museu do Fado as your GPS location, unless you want to climb all the hills. We did it until we learned it’s so much faster and simpler using the museum as the location. Paulo picked us up from the train station and explained everything in the apartment. Fantastic! Thank you Paulo for all your hints and tips, especially showing us the koala! Wonderful stay, wonderful Lisboa!

Fantastic little flat in the middle of the Alfama part of the city. Our host Paulo has just been exceptional! He was really very helpful and friendly from the start. He didn't hold back with tipps not only for Lisbon but for our complete trip through Portugal.

Gabriella and Hans-Bernhard were very nice, funny and warm guests. Only good things to report. The apartment was spotlessly clean after their departure. I highly recommend Gabriella and Hans-Bernhard to all VRBO hosts and would love to welcome both again sometime in the future.

Great location and even better host. Paulo was so helpful and patient. Apartment very clean and nicely decorated. Lots of Fado bars in neighborhood me and and my wife enjoyed them every night of our stay. Paulo picked us up at airport. Highly recommend this property for a stay in lisbon.

Maggie and Richard were very polite and friendly guests. It was great to welcome them in our apartment. Althought a very short stay i hope they had the chance to feel a bit of what Lisboa has to offer and to have helped them in taking the most out of it. They left the apartment so well care and in a absolutely perfect state. We would be happy to welcome Maggie and Richard again sometime in the future and no doubt in recommend both to every VRBO host.

Tamie and David were fantastic and lovely guests. Good and easy communication both before and during their stay. Left the apartment impeccable. Will be a pleasure to welcome them again any time in the future and without hesitation that i recommend Tamie and David to any other VRBO host.

From the moment we booked this apartment Paulo was the perfect host. Great communication up to and including our stay in Lisbon and the airport pick up was so appreciated. The apartment is in a great location in Alfama with its small, winding alleys , close to amazing restaurants and had everything you would need. And we have to mention the incredibly comfortable bed. It was a pleasure to meet Paulo and have the opportunity to see some of beautiful Lisbon. Highly recommend.

How nice and polite Nancy and Dan are!!! Very educated and respectful of the house rules, this lovely couple was also responsive all the time to all communications, prior and during their stay. I really enjoyed our chats and i truely recommend both to any VRBO host. And of course it will be a pleasure to be able to receive Nancy and Dan again in the future. For a longer stay! The location was very central, although as other reviews have mentioned it is on the side of a hill. However it was only a 5 minute walk to the top where shops and restaurants were plentiful! The view from the balconey was spectactular! We did end up using the electric barbeque one night for some beautiful pork sausages from a butcher up the hill. Would highly recommend...we found it the right blend of location, views and amentities to fit our first days in Lisbon!

Paulo was very accommodating. Starting from the ride he gave us from the airport to all the recommendations he provided. Apartment was located in the lovely district of Alfalma. Wonderful time.

Host was great. Met us close by and showed us to the apartment. Very nice apartment and great location. Host gave lots of suggestions of where to go, what to do, good restaurants. He also arranged a cab for us to the airport. Was a great place to stay.

What a funny and educated couple Sandy and Mike were! Always very polite and communicative, both before and during their stay. It was a true pleasure in trying to help them in taking the must out of their stay in our beloved Lisboa. The apartment was small, clean and well situated. We were able to walk and explore different areas and were close to attractions. Paulo was an exceptional host. We were picked up at airport and taken to the apartment. He gave us many ideas and recommendations that made our 4 days an adventure

Paulo is a fantastic host. From picking us up at the airport to offering advice on where to eat/things to do, simply top notch. Even after leaving Paulo still offers suggestions or help whilst still in Portugal. And if you want a true Alfama experience staying on a pedestrian only road is not to be missed

Tarah and Doug were marvelous guests. They stayed at our place for just a couple of days but all went so well and it was a pleasure in trying to help them in taking the must out of their stay. Old world charm in historic neighborhood

This is just the place to soak up local culture and history. The complimentary shuttle from airport by owner made for smooth check-in process to settle in.

Great stay

Enjoyed our stay. Paulo was great and was there to pick us up at the train station and bring us to the apartment for a full orientation. He also provided a lot of information about the neighborhood and sites to see in the area.

What a delightful first time experience in Lisbon! Paulo was an exceptional host, and far exceeded our expectations! From our first ride to the airport to helping us with so many requests he was amazing in every way and made our experience 10 times better than it could’ve been. The apartment was cozy, clean, and quaint in every way. We Loved the charm of the location, and the sounds echoing through the alleyways. This was a perfect beginning of an unforgettable holiday!

Pick up at the airport was excellent! Paulo gave us wonderful recommendations of things to see. Apartment was clean and charming. Stairs to the apartment are not for those with mobility issues, pretty steep!

Fantastic little hideaway in cute neighborhood

This host went above and beyond- picked us up from the airport, gave us advice and a short guide's information and was kind and consistently available if we needed it. Cute, clean space in a lovely neighborhood in the heart of alfalma. Would definitely stay again!

Anna and Dave are such a very nice and charming couple. Extremely polite and funny, communication was always very easy, both before and during their stay. The location in Alfama was wonderful. The area has a labyrinth of narrow streets & pathways. Every time we went a different path we found a different small square with vendors selling their own Porto. There are more restaurants & small local places there isn’t possibly enough time. As we ventured into other areas of Lisbon we found them much busier so vibe in our area was great. Thanks so much to Paulo. He’s a great host & easily reachable.

This apartment was a find! From the Paulo's greeting at the airport to the perfectly located and charming apartment in Alfama... we really could't have done better. Highly recommend booking here. It might be important to note that the apartment cannot be reached directly by car, you must walk abour 200 meters from the plaza. The walk is uneven cobble, so if you have mobility issues this might be a concern. The staircase to the apartment is steep and the steps are short, but there are thankfully only 16 of them, with railings on both sides.

It was a true pleasure to host Megan and Nick. They respected the rules of the flat and they were very pleasant. Communication was always very easy, both before and during their stay. I highly recommend both to any VRBO host and will gladly welcom them again when they would like to come back to Lisboa.
