This custom built North Shore home offers something for everyone. This big, beautiful home is located in the heart of Lake Tahoe's North Shore, within minutes to the sandy beaches of Kings Beach AND the slopes at Northstar Ski Resort.

Once inside, you are your guests will experience expansive views from the dramatic windows that make you feel above the tree tops. The deck at the rear of the home offers outdoor dining, BBQ, and captures the wooded and tree filtered lake views, even from the hot tub.

The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a family meal easy and enjoyable, while the kids will be thrilled with the entertainment loft that offers hours of fun for them too!

The quality craftsmanship boasts attention to detail with vaulted ceilings, solar radiant heated floors, a gourmet kitchen, and a magnificent great room. These all meld together to create an elegant atmosphere, hardy enough for the whole family.

ABOUT THE AREA

Located at the northern tip of Lake Tahoe, just west of the Nevada State border, is Kings Beach. Known for its outstanding public beach, kick back attitude, and easy access to mountain resorts, Kings Beach is a spot travelers return to year after year. The North Tahoe Event Center often plays host to festivals, concerts, and community events, and downtown Kings Beach boasts shopping and dining options open year round.

Kings Beach State Recreation Area is the flagship beach site in the North Tahoe area. With a lake front stretch of 1,700 feet, it is the largest public access sandy beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Its south facing aspect and a lake floor that gradually deepens makes this one of the warmest swimming areas on the Lake. A beautiful playground area overlooks the water and barbecue and picnic areas are available. The beach is adjacent to shops, restaurants and the North Tahoe Event Center.

In the winter, you are just ten minutes from Northstar California. There, enjoy access to almost 100 trails and over 3,000 skiable acres, impeccable grooming, incredible tree skiing and enough variety to challenge every level of skier. Take advantage of world class terrain parks, cross country skiing, a youth Adventure Park, and a 9000 square foot ice rink surrounded by fire pits and a rink side bar.

2. Parking for 5 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.

Place needs work. Not real clean. Too few towels, soap, etc. BBQ dirty. Had to change propane tank. Solar on roof leaks, dripping onto living room floor (after moving furniture). Place is tired and needs work inside and out. Good location.

Family Holiday Stay

The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. We got snowed in and had to add two more days to our stay. The rental company was very accommodating. My only complaint about the house is that the kitchen is not stocked very well. There was not enough silverware or glassware. The pots and pans were very old and worn. Other than that the house was really nice and the rental company was very helpful. Great location if skiing at North Star.

Convenient and comfortable

The large, windowed living room and the ease of access to multiple ski resorts make this house a good choice. That it takes pets makes it a great choice. The fact that it has been a couple decades since the house was been renovated was not an issue because it was tastefully done when it was built and so it just made it feel a bit more relaxing that not everything was perfect.

We have rented this house for several years and absolutely love it. It answers all of our needs as a family of avid snow skiers. On the negative side, it is sad to see the home slipping into a state of disrepair. The exterior is in need of new stain,the furniture is becoming worn and some of the interior walls could use a fresh coat of paint.

Wonderful

We rented this house for a week. The house is absolutely gorgeous with everything you need. We had two families, 10 of us. There was plenty of room for everyone. The game room was a great place to hang for the 12 year olds. The hot tub was amazing with the views. The other deck also had incredible views while bbqing. My husband loved that. It was also nice to be able to park in the garage and unload all of our stuff when we came back from the lake. Great location with it being close to town but not in the super crowded neighborhood. There is also a side yard where the kids liked to throw the football around or just play outside safely. We had a wonderful time.

Review of lookout lodge

Could have been a bit cleaner. We wiped down all the light switches upon arrival and they were dirty. Other than that the house is very large and comfortable with lots of activities. The host was very responsive and made our stay enjoyable. I must say the check out tasks are a bit more than most rentals but doable.

Great place

Beautiful house with great game room (pool, football,ping-pong) great for family fun. Nice hot tub. Huge kitchen well stocked. Kings beach really nice area. Management service not very responsive to text messages. But otherwise would highly recommend recommend for group or family.

They provided enough bath and kitchen towels and kitchen supplies. They have lots of games for kids. There were a few thing that needs to be improved. The dryer did not work well, bar stools were wobbly and the frying pans very old and falling apart. The Property management company were great came out right away to fix the bar stools and broken out door patio table.

The home comes with 8 beds, but is so spacious you could sleep 15 if extra people brought sleeping bags. There is a foosball table and Wii U for kids to play with. Hot tub easily seats 4 people. I stayed during the summer but would love to come back for a winter trip.

Beautiful home

Lots of towels, toilet paper, dishes, crock pot, utensils and etc. Lots of board games, console games, TV, movies, books, ping pong table, foosball table and a pool table. I would have given the home a 5 star, however, when we tried to go into the hot tub, it was not warmed up. It was set at 57 degrees and we had to warm it up. We googled how long that was going to take and it said 12-24hr. We were disappointed that the hot tub was not ready for us to go in, especially since we found out on our last night there. There was also no dish soup in the house. We ran most of the dishes in the dish washer but there was no soup for non-dishwasher safe items.

Perfect Girls Weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My friends and I go up to Tahoe annually for a long weekend of scrapbooking, reading, movie watching, cooking, etc.. This is a beautiful home with modern amenities. We had lots of room to spread out with our activities in the great room. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen there and found everything we needed. The one time we needed maintenance, which was with one of the heating units in a bedroom, the management service had someone there within 10 minutes. It's a nice neighborhood for going on walks and a quick drive to the lake. We will definitely be going back to this house!

GREAT TIME HAD BY ALL

We liked that the bedrooms were on all different levels, gave everyone their own space. We really enjoyed the kitchen and living room, as we all had room to hang out while eating, cooking, and watching tv. There are so many things to do in this house, games, toys for the little ones (thank you !!!) hot tub, pool table, movies, reading, sitting on deck enjoying the view, and even exercising, along with bike riding, ping pong. The house is very well maintained, lots of space, and a great location. Definitely will be looking at this house again to rent next season. Great property and the ladies at the rental office are awesome. I will be back! **Only downside, was would have liked to have more seating in the living room. there is only 1 couch, and 2 big bean bag chairs, for such a large house that can accomodate many people, not enough seating in living room.

The hot tub was a great place to relax after our days out. The house was clean and had everything we would ever need in the kitchen. The only complaint: we were there during a heat wave and with no A/C and only two fans the upstairs got very hot during the day and didn't really cool down at night. All in all this was an EXCELLENT experience. We would definitely consider renting this home again on our next visit.

Away from crowds but close to all that happens

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful home that we rented directly from the owner in 2013. He is a stone mason and this house is absolutely gorgeous. In July, 2015, we rented from Tahoe Resort Properties. They were efficient, professional and consistent in service from initial contact through the end of our stay. We originally expected 9 and ended up with only 6 in our group to stay the nights. This property served our purposes well as there is ample public area. The balconies/decks are a definite plus as you can enjoy nature and see the lake in the distance. The neighborhood is quiet yet not too remote. The kitchen was fully equipped for 12 guests, just do remember to bring the spices that you enjoy. There is also a BBQ on the deck that we used. We were able to invite friends over to enjoy meals together as well as the property. A binder of "What to do in Tahoe" was very helpful. We also had a wonderful dining experience at Soule Domaine, 9983 Cove St, Kings Beach, CA 96143, Should we be in the area again, we would definitely consider renting this property.
