Located within 15 minutes of Beautiful Historic Beaufort, 15 minutes from Parris Island, and 45 minutes from the beaches of Hunting Island and Hilton Head, this waterfront getaway features 1 master bedroom with ensuite whirlpool tub and shower, a 2nd master bedroom with ensuite, and 1 triple twin bedroom, three full baths, a wonderful screened porch, and beautiful sun rises from our deep water dock. Crab, shrimp and fish right from the dock. Relax on the covered deck over the water while watching dolphins and stingray along with some extraordinary bird life including, Cranes, Herons, Pelicans and Egrets. Bring your kayak, paddle board and small craft and enjoy McCalley Creek! Take a trip from the dock to Hilton Head Island or Beaufort by the bay for some shopping and dining in your small craft. The home is centrally located between Savannah and Charleston. This is a great balance between peaceful country and access to Downtown Beaufort. At night enjoy beautiful views of our southern moon. Use the Gas Grill on the outdoor patio or relax in the screened in porch.

Nice quiet place to stay. House was spacious, clean, and as described. Fenced in area for the pets, ample outdoor seating, secluded back yard. Caught some nice red and black drum off the dock as well.

The trip was great! The house was perfect for our getaway and we had plenty of room to relax. The hosts were very nice, helpful and informative. Beautiful view, especially of the sunrise off of the dock.

The location, layout of house and pet accommodations were excellent. Location on marsh with easy access to water and location close to Beaufort and surrounding areas could not be better. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We appreciated the privacy. The hosts next door were very accommodating and immediately responded to any questions/needs, but not intrusive in any way. We felt that there could be a bit more attention to cleanliness. But overall, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.

This was an amazing place. The location was just perfect. The deep water dock gave us many hours of fishing and shrimping. Our puppy would stand at the door and wait for us to take him to the dock. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to go back.

Nice spot

We came down to visit our daughter and family, make memories, have fun and be plus have a spot for our boat. We accomplished it all. The owner was very attentive and kind to any questions or concerns we had.

Nice getaway

Nice quiet place with a perfect driveway for the kids to ride bikes along with crabbing off the dock. Short ride to downtown, all around good stay

Great stay for air show

Was staying in the area for vacation to stroll around Beaufort and take in the air show at the Marine base. House was in a great spot to take advantage of both. It was quiet and lovely in the evenings and a great spot to watch the Blue Angels from the dock during the day.

Beautiful view of the creek convenient location for going to Beaufort just about a 15 minute drive house was dated and the dock was a little sketchy, but it worked

Thank you for letting us know. We are a bit confused . The house has brand new wood floors, new paint. Brand new dishwasher, washer & dryer. The furniture is leather in order to clean it between guests. The bed linens are recently purchased. The dock is supposed to move with the water tide changes.

Private Dock made our vacation!

Private dock and the river gave ample opportunity to enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. We had a great time!

Perfect Lowcountry getaway!

Great property right on the water. Loved the back yard and the dock. The palmetto tree lined driveway, screened in porch were nice extras. Hope to stay here again!

Always a great visit!

This was our 3rd time staying at Sunmist cottage and it won't be the last. The house is comfortable, the location is breathtaking and Kevin and Jane are always accommodating and easy to reach if need be! Thank you both for another great vacation!

Great location, comfortable house

The property is located north of Beaufort and it was very easy to reach sightseeing areas. Communication with the owners was easy, they were very responsive and helpful with any problems. We were there during Hurricane Helene and they were very helpful and assured us we were safe.

Nice Getaway

Diamond in the rough. Outside of house could stand a cleaning, but inside was clean. Nice big yard with good privacy from neighbors with lots of greenery.

Thank you for your honest comments. You are correct regarding the outside. This time of year there is a lot of Pollen/dust. Makes it difficult to keep clean on the 2 outdoor porches. Thankfully, the inside we can control! We provide a 10% discount on future stays. Maybe later spring through winter would be best! LOL
