Nice Villa in a Small Town

The town of Guiglia is great for anyone wants to explore Emilia Romagna by car but avoid actually staying in the larger towns of Modena or Bologna. We had a variety of experiences in Castelvetro, Modena, and other surrounding towns, and all were fairly easy to access from Guiglia. The property itself is lovely, and the kitchen was well-stocked if you want to cook a few meals at home. Tiziano was very communicative and kind, and he spent a lot of his time on the property with his dog, who is very friendly! If you ever need anything, he is very responsive.

I stayed in Villa Dacia with some friends in September 2026. Overall we found the property was great, with three separate comfortable bedrooms each with their own bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen to be a good fit for our needs. The outdoor area, though next to a busy road, is relatively private thanks to a surrounding hedge and private gate, and the pool and outdoor seating areas were definitely enjoyed on the sunny days.We were slightly disappointed on check-in to find that the furniture in the common area did not match the listing, as the property had been rented out room-by-room more recently and had multiple separate small tables where the dining table and couch are pictured. Instead of the large sofa shown on the listing, there was a smaller sofa in a corner and no main indoor area for lounging, which was a shame. Additionally, many kitchen appliances as well as some frozen food and some trash had been left from the previous group and not fully cleared out.Tiziano was a very helpful host and checked in a few times throughout the week, and also provided really helpful recommendations for places to eat in the area. We also got to meet his dog, who stayed in the garden for our entire first day – this is worth noting for any future guests who may be uncomfortable with dogs. Overall we found the property a great base for our week in Emilia-Romagna.

Buongiorno grazie per la vostra considerazione in effetti il tavolone e il divano della zona giorno sono stati rimossi perché nelle stagioni invernali effettuiamo la prova di bed and breakfast avendo anche aumentato di una camera e un'altra da finire a breve comunque su questo vi avevo avvertito prima del vostro arrivo tramite messaggio, il cane normalmente non è presente se non con me anche perché è normale che qualcuno si sente a disagio Ma quel giorno vi ho chiesto espressamente di poterlo lasciare nel giardino se non vi avrebbe dato fastidio e voi avete ha consentito senza nessun problema se no non l'avrei mai lasciato, la frequenza in questa zona di turisti non è così elevata e lavoriamo prevalentemente in estate come casa vacanza durante l'inverno stavamo cercando di trasformare in bed and breakfast grazie ancora per la vostra ospitalità e la vostra gentilezza,

Beautiful flat in a charming village

If you are looking to be centrally located in this area, this is the place. We explored Bologna, Modena, and Parma, along with local parmigiano, and balsamico “factories” (actually very small), stay here! Tiziano was very helpful and his boxer Beatrice is very friendly. We loved the yard and sitting under the portico. The weather was a little cool, but we did have a few warm afternoons. Sunsets are beautiful over the hills. The flat had everything we needed. There were no English channels on the cable television, but we were able to pull up Netflix.

Tiziano was very communicative and helpful for our stay. The little pool and hot tub were a great addition to our stay, but the highlight is the house itself. There are so many beautiful details in the home, many ancient original parts that make it feel like you are here 500 years ago, but then you thankfully don't have a pit-toilet, and aren't forced to cook over an open flame, (unless you want to - because you can here!) Much effort was taken in making this house a beautiful work of art. My only complaint is the motion sense camera inside the main entry. It could be just for security, but it felt like a breech in privacy. I hope Tiziano reads this, and decides to move it to a better location, like outside the front door.

The apartment is beautiful and walking distance to restaurants in Guiglia.

The apartment lives up to expectations from the VRBO photos and description. Tiziano was a good host, providing bottled water, coffee and juice. He was helpful setting up a winery tour and tasting. His two dogs became our fast friends. I highly recommend Villa Dacia. Be ready for adventure driving around the area!

Ruim, schoon huis, van alle gemakken voorzien en met super attente gastheer

Heel geschikt huis voor 2 stellen of gezin met oudere kinderen door 2 uit elkaar gelegen slaapvertrekken met eigen sanitair. Tiziano is een bijzonder vriendelijke en zorgzame gastheer, die er boven woont, tuin en zwembad tussentijds onopgemerkt onderhoudt en heel snel reageert op onze vragen. We hebben veel plezier gehad van lieve, rustige, oude Luna, de boxer van Tiziano en gezellig maatje voor onze hond. Winkels, restaurantjes op loopafstand in dorp. Prima locatie voor bezoek aan omgeving: zoals Bologna, Modena, wijn-, parmezaanse kaas en balsamicoproducent

The Villa is spacious, very well equipped and absolutely charming.

The villa is set in it's own substantial garden (though shared with a couple of friendly boxer dogs!!). A lot of thought has gone into the design of the interior of the house, with lots of imaginative details. It is spacious, well laid out, and whilst not benefitting from air con, very light and airy. We loved it. Tiziano is a lovely guy who is very keen to ensure you have an enjoyable stay (even arriving with an armful of zuchini one evening). The village has a couple of food shops, a couple of restaurants, a ice cream parlour and a bank - pretty much everything you need. Several well marked walks into the Regional Park start in the village enabling you to walk from the door.

We loved this place!

This villa met all of our expectations and beyond. The villa has everything we wanted. The property has been lovingly restored by the owner with every possible convenience. It is centrally located in Emilia-Romano but a bit off the beaten track. That said, there is an outstanding restaurant about 50 paces away. While we spoke no Italian and most of the villagers spoke little to no English, we were always able to communicate. The owner Tiziano and the rest of the village could not have been more hospitable and welcoming. We will return to Guiglia in the future and we will stay at this property.

super gemütliche Ferienwohnung in herrlicher Lage

Wir waren nun schon zum zweiten Mal in dieser herrlichen Wohnung und haben es wieder sehr genossen. Es ist alles da, was man braucht, und noch viel mehr... Der Kamin ist eine Wucht, ebenso wie die Badezimmer und die Umgebung. Man kann sich herrlich erholen, in dem Minisupermarkt sehr persönlich einkaufen gehen oder etwas unternehmen, was man allerdings dazu braucht, ist ein Auto.

A perfect place!

Two retired couples in their 60's and 70's stayed for two weeks in this lovely place. Each bedroom had it''s own bathroom and because the kitchen and living area were in between, the bedrooms were very private. We arrived on a chilly and wet Monday afternoon and Tiziano welcomed us with a fire in the hearth and a platter of salami, cheese and bottle of wine! He showed us around and made us feel right at home. Guiglia was a perfect location to explore the area of Emilia Romagna. Modena, Parma, Bologna, Mantova, Verona, all within an easy drive of this small town. Every town from the largest to the smallest has an interesting castle to see. Being out in the country made it easy for hikes especially in the parco régionale dei Sassi di Roccamalatina, a nice diversion from sight seeing in cities. Tiziano set up tours for us at a Parmesan cheese factory, a salami museum, and a balsamic vinegar museum. Guiglia itself has three restaurants which were great, especially Lanterna. There are small grocery stores and bakeries, pizza shops, and coffee shops all within a few meters of the apartment. The apartment itself is beautiful and well appointed, and comfortable. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful and private. There was also a huge garden, but we were always on the go so we only relaxed there one late afternoon. Tiziano has two wonderful dogs who are sweet and well behaved. We have been renting apartments in Europe since 1985, and this place has been one of our favorites. Thank you Tiziano for your hospitality!

Beautiful mountaintop retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at this eclectic one of a kind home. There was a binder with info on all the nearby sights and we made a gorgeous fire in the fireplace. Watched the sun set with Luna and Beatrice, the owners' boxers. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Spacious, airy, and comfortable stay in the countryside!

It's been a hot summer traveling all over Italy and it's quite refreshing to be in at Villa Dacia! We are a family of four, and happy to be relaxing in a comfortable house and yard. Tiziano had aged bull dogs living in the back yard and were friendly and rather quiet to say the least while we relaxed one afternoon at the poolside. It was a short two day stay, but we enjoyed his home centrally located, very close to an alimentari(grocery store -well supplied with cheeses, meats, and wines), a gelateria, and a restaurant. We really appreciated Tiziano efforts in communicating with us - his English was far better than our Italian, so it was easier communicating with him with Google Translate. The house has a great kitchen with a larger than average refrigerator, dishwasher, and washing machine. We had a fan to use but could have used a second fan for the second room. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay and would return if we are in the area. Grazie, Tiziano!!

Beautifully renovated Villa

This Villa was beautiful to stay in. The inside was renovated by the owner and had lovely stonework throughout. The master bath had a Turkish Bath with mosaic tiles and finishes that were top of the line. The owner was gracious and our children loved playing in the large fenced in yard. We ate at a great restaurant La Taverna and enjoyed the local gelato shop and bakery that were steps away. The town has a winery nearby that we enjoyed sampling and learning about the wine making process from the owners. The town of Vignola close by had an impressive castle to explore and nice shops and restaurants too. We had a lovely stay here. The Muenchow Family

Fantastic villa in Guiglia

Our family, four adult and two children stayed for one week in october -16. The place is beautiful. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bedrooms and the beds are spacy. The bathrooms, one of then with steembath, are exuisite. A small garden with private parking made the stay perfect. And not to forget our host, Tiziano; - helpful, friendly and made our stay a grate one. We will be back!! Aslaug and Tom, Norway

Thank you for giving me the chance to meet and practice my English, but I do not think a small garden, but a garden of over 1000 square meters, and 'respectable nn believe? otherwise I would landowner owner hahaha !!!!!!! thanks again of your company and will look even next year to we will make the exclusive external and we will make the maximum relaxation area garden with whirlpools, inground pool, flowers and more, we will be able to finish the work started in 2016 so when you return you will be amazed Tiziano Consoli

Unser Urlaub bei Tiziano war SUPER-SUPER!

Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und gastfreundlich, wenn jemand das Authentische sucht ist er bei Tiziano richtig - mitten in einem kleinen Städtchen mit Bars, Gelateria, Lebensmittelläden mit selbstgemachter Pasta, alles gleich vor der Haustür. Die Wohnung super schön eingerichtet, in Wirklichkeit sieht alles noch besser als auf den Fotos aus, Küche voll eingerichtet, es fehlt wirklich nichts.....beim nächsten Uraluber ist der Wasserkocher bestimmt wieder repariert, aber das war uns so was von unwichtig..... Nach einem langen Ausflug kann man sich im Hamam orientalisch-fantastisch enstpannen. Wenn jemand Hunde mag, dann warten zwei verspielte Boxer und freuen sich wenn man nach einem langen Tag zurückkommt. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen, die Region bietet unzählige Attraktionen und eine Woche ist zu leider zu kurz. In der Punkteskala: 7 von 5 Punkten!!! Danke Tiziano!

Delightful

The house was charming! Our host was charming and helpful offering suggestions for events in the area. He surprised us with a most delicious anti pasta plate complete with a bottle of wine on our arrival. Such a nice touch to start out our three night stay. I highly recommend this house.

Perfetto!!

Se amate passeggiare o scorazzare in bici Guiglia è sicuramente in posizione strategica: al confine del centro del parco nazionale di Roccamaltina, ma al tempo stesso a 40 min scarsi da Bologna o Modena. L' appartamento è un vero gioiello di gusto e cura dei particolari, molti dei quali realizzati dallo stesso Tiziano, il gentilissimo proprietario dell'appartmento. troverete tutto ciò che vi aspettate dalle foto e da queste recensioni. Una particolare raccomandazione a che viaggia coi cani: prenotate senza esitazione! :) P.s.: Non conoscevo nè le persone nè la zona ed ho affittato più di 20 appartamenti tramite internet negli ultimi 3 anni

Stilvoll restaurierte Wohnung in Italien

Wir - zwei Erwachsene, zwei Kinder (16 und 12), kleiner Hund - haben uns in der aufwändig und wunderbar restaurierten Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen; alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die kleine Stadt Guiglia - südlich von Bologna gelegen - bietet herrliche Einblicke in das italienische Leben und ebenso grandiose Ausblicke in die Emilia Romagna. Es gibt ganz in der Nähe der Wohnung zwei kleine Lebensmittelgeschäfte, so dass wir gleich am ersten Tag beschlossen, in diesem Urlaub keinen Supermarkt aufzusuchen. Der Vermieter, Herr Tiziano Consoli, war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Er verwöhnte uns gelegentlich mit kleinen italienischen Leckerbissen. Der Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus hat uns einen wunderbaren Einblick in die italienische Lebensweise ermöglicht. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Best time in Italy

Tiziano is most polite, kinds and helpfull person. His flat is really beautiful!!! Pictures of house are same like original. Everything was really SUPER!!! I have been there with my friend for 3 nights and we have the best time in Italy. Guiglia is nice traditional Italy village with nice pub, restaurant...Restaurant which is 20meter from house is very good with traditional food. I really recomend this accomodation. Thank you again TIZIANO!!! Kiss and see you next time

A wonderful place and welcome

The house is fully restored in a wonderful way. Tiziano and Tiziana, the guests, are always available for any advice regarding the house or the region. They are adorable people, very kind, especially with the children, and willing to do their best to satisfy their visitors. A perfect place to enjoy local italian food and ancient architecture.

My name is Tiziano Consoli. I was born on April 25th, 1971. I am a sculptor, mosaicist, marble worker for 25 years, and independent craftsman.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This house has been the dream of my life.
After I saw it when it had been offered, I immediately understood, thanks to my profession, what the house hid inside its plasters and what I could do to make it shine like in the past.
In fact, after having bought it in 2005, I divided my time between my job in the quarries around Italy and abroad, and my free time, which I completely spent starting and carrying out the renovation by myself. This is one of the most antique houses of the country, with hand-made architraves, carved with Roman numbers dating back from 1540. In this house, I have left my heart because everything bears my signature and my work: from the doors to the sandblasting of stone to the demolition of the main walls to expand the doors, to the hand sculpted wash basin made by myself, to the mosaic of the steam bath and the built-in kitchen. Everything has been decorated with aged travertine with inserted decorations, the design of the bathrooms and the performance of the marble positions, the treatment of the marble, and all in this house. Everything has been designed and done by myself.
