Breathtaking Luxury Log Cabin on TN Horse Farm
The Stables at Strawberry Creek is a destination in itself! The famous historic log cabin sleeps 8 comfortably and is located on a gorgeous 55 acre horse farm/wedding venue in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, close to University of Tennessee, and 38 miles from Smoky Mtn. National Park. Spring fed pond, horses and arena, hiking trail and first class barn/wedding venue are available to visit with each reservation. We look forward to hosting you! No events if available here on Airbnb.
This property possesses character and high end finishes that no hotel can offer. Peaceful country setting on a beautiful 55 acre horse farm with modern sophistication.
We have a natural spring-fed pond, horse arena, wedding venue, and the Strawberry Creek Cabin, originally built in the late 1800s, now fully modernized and remodeled!
There is a no smoking policy inside. This includes marijuana, tobacco products, and anything else that burns that is not a candle. A $250 fee will be assessed for fumigation, cleaning products, and delays in cleaning. There are 55 acres and outside patios that you are welcome to use for smoking. All cigarette butts and smoking products must be cleaned by you or additional cleaning fees will be charged. Thank you for understanding and respecting the property for future guests.
This property is absolutely fantastic and custom-designed for an unforgettable experience, pictures do not do it justice! We have a natural spring-fed pond, horse arena, wedding venue, and the historic Strawberry Creek Cabin, originally built in the 1800s, now fully modernized and remodeled!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
*Once you enter the property between the black horse fencing on the gray gravel (The sign in front says “The Stables at Strawberry Creek”), take your first left in front of the big hill at the WELCOME sign, drive approx. 100 yards and you will see the cabin next to the pond on your left-hand side.
*You are more than welcome to hike the trail that circles the property up to the Arena, visit the Stables Wedding Venue, or hang out anywhere else you’d like! Please turn off lights and clean up after yourself if you visit the venue. If you plan to arrive after dark, just let us know and we will have the lights on for you. Safe travels!

1. Checkout time is 10:00am. You may leave the keys on the kitchen table and the door unlocked when you leave.
2. When you drive on the gravel, please go slowly. The potholes grow as cars drive too fast, especially in wet conditions.
3. Youtube TV Available!
4. WIFI password in the white binder in the kitchen.
5. Please refer us to family and friends and please review us on Google and Vacation Rental Websites!
6. Please rinse all dishes before placing in the dishwasher (Also See #8).
7. The cleaning covers standard cleaning: sheets, towels, floors, rugs, bathroom, toilet, dishes etc. It does NOT cover outdoor trash pickup, cigarette butts, excessive refrigerator/freezer scrubbing and spills, animal waste cleanup, unreasonably dirty or stained comforters (Pet mud, food products, or otherwise). In the event that additional care is needed, the security deposit will compensate for the cleanup accordingly.
8. The dishwasher collects water sometimes when the disposal is backed up or excess water is flowing. Simply press “Drain” on the dishwasher and turn on the disposal button at the top left of the sink. This should remedy the problem.
9. Trash can go in the plastic garbage can in the garage. The key provided works for the side door.
Kitchen Lights
Click all switches that are located to the left of the front door into the ON position. Next, slide the dimmer all the way up on all switches. Toggle the main switch (on the right with the small lights) to full power. If the lights continue to flicker, simply turn that same main switch off for all of the lights to dim and go off together. Then, turn back on with dimmers already up to full power and there should no longer be a flicker. We apologize for this tricky inconvenience.
Heat/AC and Fireplaces
1. Please close doors behind you.
2. If it is warmer than 68 downstairs in the winter, it will be HOT upstairs. Since the heat rises and collects upstairs, it could be difficult for upstairs guests to sleep. It will be plenty warm upstairs. Feel free to use the space heaters as necessary and please let me know if you are not comfortable.
3. There are two units that divide the house into left and right zones. One in the main hallway near the bathroom, and another on the back wall in the small living room near the stairs.
4. The inside gas fireplaces shall NOT be used (they are linked to the propane tank that powers the furnaces). There is a Carbon Monoxide risk and a risk that the cabin will not have any heat left for cold temperatures. Apologies! We do have firewood available for purchase for the outdoor pit.
Doors
Simply press your foot into the base of the door to align the locks, then gently press down/turn the key. If it does not work, please call for help.
Toilet
Hold the handle down firmly until the water has flushed completely. SEPTIC SAFE toilet paper only.
Beds
Please leave the beds that were used UNMADE or strip them when you leave. That way our cleaning service knows which sheets to change. Let us know of any other cleaning that may need to be addressed such as stains on the comforters. Standard cleaning does not cover stains on the comforters.
Warning:
PLEASE monitor children playing around the deck. Children must not swing or climb on the railing. Finally, be careful on the bridge upstairs, jumping or running across it may cause injury! Step in the center, use the rails, and please proceed with caution.
Firewood
**Firewood bundle, fire starter, and matches available for $15! You are welcome to bring your own wood or use any downed limbs or branches that you find on the property as well.
Non-Disparagement
By accepting the Rental Agreement with us, you agree not to negatively disparage our business without written notice and the opportunity, within a reasonable time, to remedy the issue during your stay, or due to your dissatisfaction with the above-mentioned Cabin rules. It is detrimental to our business for a guest to give a negative public review because of unknown and unreported issues, the firewood rule or due to ill feelings that the gas fireplaces are not to be used. The rental fee of your stay would not cover our cost of these items alone. This is a material term of the Rental Agreement and Damages shall be $10,000 per occurrence. Please understand that we are extremely grateful that you chose to stay with us and pride ourselves on hospitality and happy guests.
