Discover the best kept lodging secret in Breckenridge. Better than a condo or any other Breckenridge vacation rental. Enjoy a true Colorado experience in this Private Log House, right off ski hill road and 5 minutes from downtown. Our three bedroom, two bath rustic log home has a large kitchen, living room with a large stone fireplace, two decks and a private hot tub that overlooks the Arapahoe National Forest. Well-equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway in Breckenridge. However, we do not allow parties or possession of marijuana or drugs at the house.

The main floor also has the master bedroom and a full bathroom with laundry facilities. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one with a full-size bed and two with bunk beds. There is another full bath on the second floor. All the bedrooms have large windows which provide breathtaking views. Enjoy moose, elk and deer right out your back door.

This incredible location is minutes from the base of the Peak Eight ski area with convenient access to world-class skiing and snowboarding. You can enjoy snowshoeing or cross country skiing on the Peaks trail system which winds behind the property. Ice skating, sledding and horse drawn sleigh rides are just down the road. In the summer, enjoy mountain biking, hiking, fishing, boating on Lake Dillon and golf at the Jack Nicholas designed Breckenridge Golf Course.

Best of all, downtown Breckenridge is just down the hill. Easy access to all the shops, restaurants, galleries, and entertainment that this charming Victorian town has to offer. We are located close to the Breckenridge recreation center which has workout facilities, swimming, tennis, rock climbing and day care.

We had a wonderful stay at Pick Seven in Breckenridge. The home itself was lovely, comfortable, and well suited for our family, and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Being in the mountains was a truly special experience, and we all enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery.Our family was very happy during our stay, and we made great memories together. Overall, it was a beautiful place to spend time in Breckenridge and enjoy everything the mountains have to offer.

Family of 4 Christmas Vacay

What an exceptional place this is. 10 minutes to the lifts. Hot tub was used every day it was so nice! The home was very clean. We have a 9 and 3 yo who had more than enough room upstairs to enjoy their space and time away from the parents. There were 5 beds upstairs (2 bunk bed sets) and one downstairs. I cannot brag on this place enough. We will be requesting to come back. Thank you for making our family Christmas vacation so memorable.

Great Mountain Lodge

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin/house. Great setting, location was perfect for us, amenities were very nice. We were all excited to get a couple visits from the local moose population! The cabin had plenty of space for us to spread out and have our own space. The kitchen was well appointed though we did most of our dining at local Breck establishments that were a short 10-15 minutes away. And we even got the chance to enjoy use of the hot tub a couple of cool summer evenings. All-in-all a really nice place that we would happily stay at again in the future!

Our Ski vacation

It was a lovely stay. The owner was helpful. The navigational app did not show you going around the last turn to get to the property, so definitly look for that when getting. It was snowing when we got there but is pretty sharp got us safely. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace in the front den. I am sure it is a nice place to stay in the warmer months too. We apprecated the owner having firewood for us when we got there. I would request the heat turned up on the day of arrival, it was really cold that day and took a while to warm the house. Over all a really nice stay.

Beautiful hidden gem in Breck

Beautiful cabin, well decorated with nice touches inside, hot tub a bonus, host super responsive. I would return in a heartbeat. My entire family loved it. I'm giving 10 out of 10 stars. I'd recommend next guests renting AWD/4WD if staying in winter months as driving up/down the Slalom Drive could get traitorous in bad weather.

Excellent getaway with easy Breck access

We stayed six nights through the new year ('23-'24). This cabin is a beautiful getaway with easy access to Breckenridge! You feel immersed in the mountains, and a short drive to town gives you easy access to everything Breckenridge offers. The back of the property opens up to public land, so you feel like you have your own piece of the mountain to yourself. If we get the chance to come back to Breckenridge, this is the first place we will check for availability.

Great Stay in Breckenridge

We loved staying at the Moose House and it lived up to it's name! The place is clean and the hot tub is excellent. It's close to town so we really took advantage of waling around Breckenridge. The best part was the mama and baby moose that came to visit one morning! They even laid down for a bit to take a nap. That evening the bull came looking for them, it was a great experience and memories I will cherish forever.

wonderful vacation home away from home

This house was in a great location - about 10 minutes from downtown Breck, close enough to enjoy the town, but far enough away to feel secluded. There were other homes within a short distance, but the pine and aspen between made you feel like you're alone. House was well equipped for relaxation, roomy enough for more than just the two of us (my wife and me). I would suggest that more than two adults may feel cramped by the upstairs bathroom (very small but manageable in our case), but everything else provides plenty of room for dining (weather permitting, on the deck), or the nice dining table next to the kitchen. Comfortable living room, nice loft space for relaxing or reading, and plenty of TVs if you have different tastes in TV entertainment. The owner was very responsive whenever I had a question. Great place for a summer stay.

Convenient Seclusion

Moose Cabin helped make our mountain vacation just perfect. It was the seclusion we needed with the convenience of being 5min from town. The cabin was spacious and had all of the amenities we needed to feel like home. We will certainly be back.

Poorly maintained with only 2 bedrooms

We booked this place because we wanted 3 bedrooms (which the listing claimed), but it only had two bedrooms. The listing photos are misleading: one of the "bedrooms" is actually just part of a loft that overlooks the kitchen. The reality is there is one bedroom off of the kitchen and one bedroom in the loft. Overall, this property is poorly maintained. Nearly all of the nails on the rear deck are protruding, so you have to wear shoes for your own safety. The beds are old and uncomfortable. The furniture and appliances are quite dated and not in good repair. The sound insulation is bad, so don't plan on getting much sleep if anyone else is awake. On the positive side, the location is nice and there is privacy from neighbors. It is a bit outside Breckenridge (15 minutes or so).

Perfect summer vacation cabin

My husband and two daughters loved our stay at the Moose Cabin! We loved the view from the back deck and hot tub. The hiking straight from the cabin on Peaks Trail was a total bonus. Plenty of room, comfy beds and furniture. Nicely stocked kitchen. Loved being a little out of town up in the mountains but not too far to run in for dinner or ice cream. Great rental! Beautiful location!
