I’m very happy to read that you enjoyed your stay in full, despite the unusual heat. I agree with you, our views are world class, and we usually suggest this apartment, THE ONE, to families with teenagers or to two couples who want to stay together but saving the maximum level of privacy. Dear Karin, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you appreciated the stunning location and the views over the Tuscan hills, as well as the cleanliness and size of our pool. We rarely receive less than 5-star reviews, not because everything is perfect, but because we make sure everything is clearly described. As we always say: clear agreements make good friendships. We’re very sorry that your stay was affected by an extreme weather event, an exceptionally strong typhoon that caused water to enter the apartment despite the normal protections. This was an extraordinary occurrence, never experienced before here. All the checks to the roof were perfect, but we’ve replaced the skylight window into your apartment and several pool loungers that were damaged during the storm. Regarding the interior and kitchen furnishings: we’re not sure what you expected, but all photos and descriptions on the listing accurately reflect what’s in the apartment, including the kitchen equipment. As for the term “Agriturismo”: in Italy, it means a farm-based hospitality business where part of the income must come from agriculture. At Montegonfoli, we actively farm over 1000 olive trees and several hectares of vineyards producing DOCG-certified Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti Colli Senesi wines. In der Regel erhalten wir nur 5-Sterne-Bewertungen – nicht weil alles perfekt ist, sondern weil bei uns alles genau so ist, wie es beschrieben wird. Unser Motto lautet: Klare Absprachen, gute Freundschaft. Es tut uns leid, dass Ihr Aufenthalt von einem extremen Wetterereignis beeinträchtigt wurde – ein ungewöhnlich starker Typhoon, der trotz normaler Schutzmaßnahmen Regenwasser ins Apartment gedrückt hat. Ein solches Ereignis ist nach unserer Erinnerung noch nie zuvor aufgetreten. In der Zwischenzeit haben wir das Dachfenster ersetzt sowie mehrere beschädigte Pool-Liegen erneuert. Was die Einrichtung betrifft: Wir wissen nicht genau, was Sie erwartet haben, aber die Ausstattung und Möblierung entspricht exakt den Fotos und Beschreibungen in unserem Inserat – einschließlich der Küchenausstattung. Zur Bezeichnung „Agriturismo“: In Italien bedeutet dies eine Unterkunft, die auf einem landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb basiert, wobei ein Teil der Einnahmen aus Landwirtschaft stammen muss. In Montegonfoli bewirtschaften wir über 1000 Olivenbäume sowie mehrere Hektar Weinberge, die DOCG-zertifizierte Vernaccia di San Gimignano und Chianti Colli Senesi liefern.
