This was a fantastic location on lower floor so we could go out onto grass to be in sun or shade. It was pretty well stocked but could use a few umbrellas. It was a very comfortable unit and we’d certainly stay here again albeit it was expensive. A beautiful view of ocean while eating dinners and nice walks/hikes right from the door as well as beaches. The REALLY annoying and dangerous thing that has to be changed here is not being able to get ‘out’ of the swimming pool OR ‘in’ without a key and they only give you one for the pool and tennis court. If one of a group goes up to get a towel or something and other partner is in pool or tennis area and has a problem nobody can get in to help them! (Oh take the key then one would say… but then the party at the pool can’t get out if needing a bathroom etc)…It’s frustrating and silly when they can just put code locks on the pool tennis court and all the unit doors so cheaply! It’s a court case waiting to happen. Either give a key to each person there or get codes!

Ocean view paradise

A top-notch rental company that was nearby & available to answer any questions or concerns. Property is exactly as described, well laid out and the perfect vacation rental. That view every morning from the lanai takes your breath away. In addition, this location is quiet & private! Would rent this condo in a heartbeat. Having two roomy master suites with large bathrooms is a treat and the kitchen is very nice! I would warn that the tub in one bathroom could be difficult to get in & out of if you’re petite and some of the furniture is a little tired. Otherwise, I highly recommend!

Beautiful Views and Landscaping

The condo is located in Poipu Sands next to the Grand Hyatt. The views from this unit are amazing. The entire area is landscaped beautifully, safe and fairly quiet. There is a pool steps from your door and another pool, huge hot tub with waterfall, tennis courts and a fun little sports bar within the complex. You also get access to the athletic club which is nice and would be really great for younger families. The unit itself is nice, it could use some updating. It's not that I wouldn't stay there again, becuase the layout is nice, the bathrooms and kitchen are great, but if I compared it to the condo next door, it could use new bedding, matching end tables and lights, updated pictures on the wall, basically the decor needs a refresh. I would reccomend staying here, it is great and I loved it.

This property is showing its age and needs updating. The cost is too high based on what you get for the money. I would not stay at this property again or recommend it to others.

Beautiful property, location is great! The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been to have a bbq on our patio!

Great Location

Bright and sunny, feels larger than the pictures suggest, beautiful view across manicured lawns to the beach (as the picture shows) which is just a short stroll away. Poipu Sands is a quiet location, but close to restaurants, shops and golf.

Perfect location in paradise!

Our stay at Poipu Sands was better than expected and we can't wait to stay in the same condo again. We checked in after hours. Suite Paradise left the keys in a drop box outside the office door and sent us the code to get our keys. It was a very simple easy process. We were very tired when we arrived, so it was nice that their after hours process is so simple and easy!! The condo was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Our cable wasn't working in the living room when we arrived. We called the front desk the next day and they had someone there within 15 to 20 minutes to look at it. He was a very nice and friendly guy who was able to fix the issue and we didn't have any other issues with it from then on...and had a great chat with the guy fixing the cable :) We loved the location of the condo!! Plenty of great shopping and restaurants close by. Beaches in walking distance. Pool right outside our patio. Amazing views from the patio!! The patio is surprisingly quiet and private with how open the area is. We were concerned that it may be a high traffic area, but it really wasn't at all. It felt very private. They provided beach towels, beach chairs and all other kinds of beach equipment that you would want to use. We went over to the Poipu Athletic Club that we had access to since we stayed at Suite Paradise. That was a great addition and a lot of fun. We just gave them our name and they looked us up in their computer, so very easy as well. We will definitely be back to stay at Poipu Sands and will highly recommend Suite Paradise! Thank you for the great memories!!

Great unit and location on ground floor with one drawback.

Nice unit on ground floor with great view of Shipwreck Bay. There is one needed improvement in this unit, a new mattress in master bedroom. The current mattress was a little too soft. There is a mattress topper on this bed to improve it but it doesn't help much.

Great location and very quiet. The unit could use new flooring and some upgraded decor.

We love Kauai and especially the beaches. It can be busy during Christmas and it was but at this location, you are away from crowds, yet close to Shipwreck Beach for boogie boarding. The large pool on the property proved to be an especially quiet place for sunbathing and cooling off. We loved b-b-qing poolside. The unit has a great view and we like that it is on the ground floor. However, for being a 5-star rated accommodation, it fell short in a few areas. The carpet and furniture are dirty and the tile floors are looking dated. The king-sized bed needs better sheets and a proper pillow-top mattress instead of just a cheap foamy overtop a regular mattress. Everything else was really very, very nice! :)

Spacious, comfortable, great view but poorly equipped condo

I have stayed at many of the poipu sands units in the past 30 years, this one was the first to disappoint. Kitchen very poorly equipped with minimal super cheap junky dishes and cooking equipment. Very Spacious condo, clean and comfortable otherwise but without any personal touches and the warm aloha spirit that other condo owners regularly use to welcome their guests. Great view of the water, nice patio furniture, lots of seating, marvelous location. Overall I give it a 4 as the Poipu Sands complex is wonderful and I love staying there. A little attention to detail and some gentle TLC could easily bring this unit up to the standard of "deluxe" that they advertise.
