Great Place!

The gold cart wasn’t the best, but it got us from place to place and when we have a problem with it, the management company was quick to help.

Quick beach trip

We had a quick 3 night stay with our college aged children. Property was a good size for our family; bedrooms were comfortable; availability of the golf cart was a plus.

The property was very clean. Management was great and let us know we could come in early. They also kept us aware of the weekend events. We loved it!

Graduation trip

We had an amazing time during our stay! The home was in a perfect location in a beautiful resort. It was perfect for our family. This home was very clean and comfy and The third bathroom was definitely needed. My family loved having the golf cart to run back-and-forth to the beach.

We loved having morning coffee on the veranda while watching the golfers tee. The golf cart was great to get to the beach and wharf. We would definitely book again.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo in general is extremely dated. It’s a ground level unit which we knew up front. The furniture is extremely worn, sunken in, and uncomfortable. It has an older 4 seater golf cart. The kitchen literally did not have salt and pepper so bring everything you can think of. This rental did not provide a lot of value. There are many other condos in this development that are updated with nice furnishings you can rent for a similar rate. Would not stay again.

Overall review

Overall platinum services did an outstanding job of customer service. While we had two minor issues one with the cable and one with the air conditioner they were very quick to resolve the issues and stayed engaged until they were resolved. However we did have some problems with the owners that were on the properties We stayed at Sandestin Beach and tennis resort in the Pine Ridge neighborhood. I found the owners of other units to be very crabby and intrusive. They would walk around the pool area four or five times a day and correct anything they thought was wrong. After talking to Sandestin management they eventually told us just to ignore them. This is by no means a reflection of the VRBO or platinum services they both did an outstanding job. We will definitely use them again

This time we decided not to stay in places tha would be more crowed due to the coronavirus situation. So we decided for the Pine Ridge unit that also comes with golf cart.And oh boy! It was the perfect option for us! The unit was spacious, clean and provided all things you need to cook a meal. The view from the golf course was so calm and nice. We were steps away from the beach but only went once because we wanted to stay far from the crowds. The pool was so private. Not too many people and nice for our kids.Our family would like to thank Nicole from Platinum again, to help us through the reservations. Secondtime booking through Platinum and with Nicole. It always easy and quick.We can't wait to come back!And let e tell you from all units we had stayed in Sandestin, the Pine Ridge is by far our TOP!

5382 Pine Ridge

The property's layout was very nice. It has a split plan with the the master suite on one side with a walk-in closet and the other two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the other side. All of the bathrooms were nice and having three of them was great! This property is also very close to the pool. Our kids enjoyed it very much. Finally, the golf cart made our trip so much more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise. We drove it to Publix, to the beach every day, and to dinner at Baytowne. Overall, we had a great week at this property. Things to know before your vacation: 1) You access the unit by taking stairs down to the lower level. It was not a problem for our family, but it is something that might limit others. 2) The garage is not accessible from the unit. 3) There were no hangers in the closets. This may seem trivial, but we all had clothes to hang up. 4) The dryer takes more than one cycle to dry a typical load of clothes.

Review of 5382 Pine Ridge July, 2016

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In our opinion, not the best place to stay. We had to supply a few of the small items that we thought should have been included for the price. We were given one trash bag for the week, no dish soap for the dishes or to wash our hands in the bathroom and no dishwasher soap. Therefore, we had to go purchase those items which was an added cost to our vacation. The toilet was broke and it took 2 calls before someone came out and it still didn't get fixed. We just didn't worry about it because we were on vacation and didn't want to wait around for maintenance to show up. It took 2 hours the first time they came. One of the doors out the bedroom to the patio wouldn't open and we asked that to be fixed as well, but our request fell on deaf ears. The master bedroom had one working light bulb. We requested light bulbs, but never received them. One of the "queen beds" were 2 smaller beds pushed together. This is a misrepresentation and a problem when you need 3 kids to sleep in this bed. So, one of our kids took turns sleeping on the couch during the week because you can't sleep in the middle of two beds being pushed together. The beach was a 15-20 minute walk. When I contacted the resort, they said 5 minutes to the beach. What they should have said is that it was a 5 minute walk to catch a shuttle that took you to a drop off spot to walk 5 minutes to the beach. I only mention this because I think people need to be aware of this fact. We enjoy walking to the beach. That's what we come to Destin for but you can't walk 20 minutes to the beach with all your stuff. We were just pretty disappointed with this resort because it didn't meet the same expectations as we've experienced in the past. Others may enjoy it, it just wasn't for us.

The only thing I was unsatisfied with is that I was not given all of the information I would need prior to arrival. I was not given the garage code or the pool code. I had to take time to call and find out but they answered quickly and were very friendly and helpful. Also, the unit had a total of 3 bath rags and there were 6 of us but the property would actually sleep 9 so at least 9 should have been in there. I told the man that came and was letting me know the oven would actually not be installed during our stay because of an unforeseen problem and he said he would have someone bring some more but they never showed up. Other than this, everything was really nice. We normally stay at Beachside 2 but branched out this year. We enjoyed having a golf cart too! It was fun and we will be back.

The condo was very nice, although the chair needs to be replaced, and one of the light switches was broken. These were minor things and as rental owners ourselves, we understand the wear and tear.
