Cranberry Palms - Premium Villa - Pool/HotTub and Close to DISNEY

Cranberry Palms is a premium villa located just 10-15 mins from Disney (close enough that you can see the evening fireworks show from the back bedroom window) and is also close to SeaWorld, Universal and the many other attractions Orlando has to offer. Because this villa is located in Central Florida, you also have the option of taking a day trip to Coco Beach (only 1 hour away) or Cape Canaveral to the east or head west to St Petes, Tampa (Busch Gardens), or Clearwater.

The villa is four bedrooms and is located in Orange Tree just off Highway 27 in South Clermont. The backyard view is of the lake and conservation land with a private screened in Lanai/pool/spa area (Note: This means no bugs!!). The Lanai also has a covered area with outdoor lighting and ceiling fans. The pool area has a removable child safety fence and patio furniture. For those of you who like the doors open to get that fresh air, the family room, kitchen and master bedroom all have French doors that open to the Lanai and there are ceiling fans throughout. It is also fully air-conditioned if you prefer. But if you leave the doors open - please turn off the AC - it will freeze and stop working.

The Villa sleeps 8 comfortably with the Master bedroom having a King bed, 52 inch TV, a large walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has Queen Bed and TV that you can bring a firestick to use. Bedroom 3 has Double(Full) Bed and shares a full bath with Bedroom 2. Bedroom 4 has a Queen bed, a TV that you can bring a fire stick to use and full bath which has access to the pool area. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms.

The Family room is fully equipped with a large 58 inch Roku TV with Spectrum app, DVD player with selection of DVD's, books, and board games. If you prefer there is also a CD player with a selection of CDs to enjoy some music.

Why choose our home over others in the area …. The privacy. With no direct back neighbors and a view of the lake, you won't have a care in the world.

Orange Tree's name comes from its original orange groves on the property, you can often smell the oranges in the air. You can even pick the oranges in season or up 27 there is a pick-your-own citrus grove and farm stand with fresh produce and lots more.

The neighborhood offers Tennis and Pickleball courts as well as a 'tot lots' (kid’s playground) and Sandhill cranes are usually seen in the neighborhood. Lake Louisa State Park is up 27 if you want to go fishing, rent canoe's, horseback riding or just go hiking and nature watching. Just next to Orange Tree is a Publix Grocery store and a Walmart just a few minutes away. There are many restaurants, golf courses, and shopping close by and it is very close to Highway 192 for your convenience to all its restaurants, shops and attractions also.

The villa is looked after by a reputable property management company. They are experienced, friendly and responsive to all your needs. It is thoroughly cleaned after each departure. The villa is fully equipped with StoveTop/Oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator w/freezer and ice maker, Laundry room has washer and dryer. All bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

Spring get away

We stayed at this property last year and had the same great experience. The property was clean and in an excellent location. The property manager got back to us very quickly when any questions were asked. Look forward to staying again next year.

We mostly enjoyed our stay. The pool and hot tub were relaxing for the first 4 days. Pool heat was turned off on day 4 even though we were told we would have it for 7 days. The area around the pool needs maintenance. There was grass growing inside the screen, lizards on the pool deck and debris from the trees and other shrubbery accumulating in the pool. The house was extremely warm and the air smelled stale. The ceiling fans were off in all rooms upon arrival and there was no air circulation. Sleeping at night was difficult due to the temperature. The owner suggested opening the doors that led to the screened in pool area. I informed her that there were at least two openings in the screen and I was not comfortable leaving the doors open with so many squirrels and other wildlife around. The owner charged us 350 CAD for trying to lower the temperature at night. I find it peculiar that she did not receive notification on her app if the temperature had been lowered as it was set at 82 degrees. She would have had bigger problems if I took her suggestion to leave the doors open to get a cool breeze at night. The house security system was not engaged and we were not given the code to alarm the system. We were provided the key code to the main door only. The kitchen was well stocked and there were enough linens. The house was not cleaned to our standards. There was hair throughout the house especially in the washrooms and shower. We left the house much cleaner than we found it.

It is unfortunate that this guest did not inform me of any issues until dinnertime on day 5 of their stay and that was only to ask about the house being too warm. In checking into that for them, I found on the Nest thermostat that they had arrived late at night and immediately set the AC temp to 50 degrees and left it like that all week. Given the high temperatures in Florida (mid to high 80s) at that time, the AC was frozen (both the inside unit and outside unit) probably within the first day as it ran continuously 24 hours a day from the time they arrived until calling me 5 days later. I said it was probably frozen and referred to the contract that says not to set it below 72 it may freeze and you will be charged. They acknowledged they saw the contract item. I sent my manager over to look at the AC and he spent 3 hours on defrosting the unit and getting it running again (This was an after-hours call). From that point we set the AC to 73-74 and it ran fine for the next 2 days. They never said anything about the pool heat not being on (It was still on when my manager did his post departure check) and they only mentioned the screens when I suggested they open the doors until the AC could be defrosted. They never said anything about the house or pool not being clean until this review. As for the pool having debris in it – it’s a full screen enclosure and she said a couple screens were pulled away at the bottom. That makes it highly unlikely and also that wouldn't allow critters in. We do a pre-check before arrival anything that’s found then gets taken care of if needed. Again this was unfortunate but communication can usually solve everything, I'm always available and if I'm not my house manager is.

Winter getaway

We loved the lanai, pool and quiet neighborhood. The family room furniture was a little too soft for us but we were all seniors. A younger group would probably be fine. We like to cook together and the kitchen was better stocked than most places we have stayed. All in all we had a great visit.

Great location.

The house was super clean and had everything we needed. The pool area is very nice and the pool was also very clean. The house had plenty of room for 4 adults and the three full bathrooms made it functional for everyone. It was a perfect location for going to the parks each day. It took us less than 30 minutes for all 4 parks. This was our second time in this house for our family Disney trip. The owner is very reachable too if you need anything.

Golfed 6 rounds in 7 days...

Great place to go with adult children. My wife and I and two adult boys. King, Queen and two double beds. No twin beds. Most houses close to Disney are set up with twin beds or bunk beds to accommodate younger families. So great to find a nice home with private pool/hot tub set up for older families. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Location

Loved the area, did not like not having the ability to control temperature of the property. Owner kept adjusting to warm temperatures and I prefer to stay cooler during humid hot weather. It made it uncomfortable to sleep, because the temperature set at the property was a lot warmer then I prefer.

Hi - I'm sorry for the issue you had with the temperature. We have it locked and programmed for when the house is empty to keep the humidity out of the house. If you had let me know I would have unlocked it for you.

Quiet neighborhood with a great floor plan

This is our 5th year in this neighborhood and we always look for this floor plan. We were here for an extended stay to get out of the cold winter weather. Spent everyday in the heated pool and hot tub. We ate almost all of our meals outside under the covered patio. Everything in the description of this home was accurate. One of the best supplied kitchens we’ve experienced. We had a couple issues that were handled immediately. My only concern was the furniture in the family room was uncomfortable for us, but in good condition. We found the living room furniture much more comfortable.

AC was broke the entire stay

The AC was broke every night. The homeowner never called a company to fix until after we were leaving. We sweat in bed every night after walking the Disney parks during the day. Vrbo was not very helpful either.

It is unfortunate that this guest didn't enjoy their stay. We tried to accommodate them the best we could. However, the AC will not cool to temp if the doors and/or windows are left open for long periods of time. I sent my property manager over to resolve the issue multiple times. On one occasion the guests even refused to let him in. Twice my property manager went in to check on the AC and found no issues. Each of the times that the guests left for the day, the AC was able to come down to the temp set on the AC. Once the guests returned, the house temperature rapidly increased – The guests were asked multiple times to please keep the doors and windows closed while AC is on. After the guests checked out, during the property manager’s post-check, he found that the back window was left open. He closed the window and again tested the AC unit for the next three days which ran flawlessly.

Eines der wenigen Häuser die alle Schlafzimmer mit großen Betten ausgestattet haben. Leider keinen Grill. Gut ausgestattet, nur Pfannen sollten ausgetauscht werden. Ansonsten ist das Haus sehr zu empfehlen.

An exceptional stay.

This was our second time at this property and it couldn't be better. The house was very clean and quiet with a great view from the pool out onto the pond. We cooked numerous meals here and everything we needed, and then some, was supplied. The communication with the owner was excellent and we had no problems at all during our stay. Publix grocery store is only a few minutes away and numerous restaurants are close too. If you are looking for a place that is quiet, yet close to everything you want, this place is it. If this place is available when you are looking for a place to stay, this is it. The pool and hot tub are wonderful too with a nice lanai to hide from the sun or rain. Won't hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent location

The house was much bigger then we had specter. Very clean and well equipped. Had a few minor things that should be replaced like electrical cover on the bar that was broke, the dishwasher top shelf comes off the slider if you pull it out your far. Everything worked as it should that we needed and the house very nice. We slept very well as the beds were comfy. Got a bit hot at nights but not terrible. We would definitely come back to this house again in the future.

Amazing home away from home

When our family comes to Florida to go to Disney World, we typically choose to stay on property. For this trip, we needed multiple rooms and we decided to look for a house instead. Oh am I glad we did!! This property was PERFECT for our multi-family, two week long stay. The living room was a welcoming and relaxing place to gather. The kitchen had everything we needed to make several lunches and dinners at the house. The bedrooms were furnished well and very comfortable. The pool was a highlight and we spent time out there every day. The traffic in the area can get a little crazy at certain times of the day, which of course is no fault of this property. Just make sure to give yourself ample time when going out and about. Our family loved our stay and are looking forward to booking again for our next big, family trip.

Exactly what we needed!

First and foremost the host, Carol was very easy to work with during the booking process and helpful in answering our questions. House was located in a nicely kept, quiet subdivision of the "main drag" where there were grocery stores and a Walmart. The home was just as the pictures showed... very clean, well maintained and situated near a small pond. The four bedrooms with a king, queen and full size beds worked perfectly for my husband and me, my grown kids and grandson. We didn't do a lot of cooking but the kitchen had all the necessary pots, pans, etc. Only used the pool once and it was very clean. The drive to Walt Disney wasn't too bad. About 30 minutes Overall our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Would definately stay again!

Would not stay there again

The positive was the pool and privacy and the layout of the house. It also was close to a grocery store (Publix). But that’s where it ends: * The house is a far distance from everywhere. At least a 35 minute drive to all parks. * The house is dated, in a dated neighborhood * The a/c was locked so we couldn’t adjust when we were hot or cold * The house had a smell upon our arrival- after purchasing many air refreshers and sprays, the house was a bit better upon our departure a week later.

I'm sorry if you were unhappy with the house, I really aim to make everyone's stay enjoyable. This is the first I am hearing this as you never contacted myself or my management company to take care of any issues. I have the A/C and heat set to stay between a range so that when the house is empty that it maintains a temp that will keep the humidity out. If it wasn't to your liking you could have contacted me and I would have unlocked it. As for it being dated - all the pictures on the site are representative of the house and I haven't had any other complaints. I don't know what you mean by a smell - I have the house cleaned thoroughly between every guest and there has never been any complaints of an odor plus I'm at the house multiple times a year to check on it. I can only suggest that next time you have any issues that you contact the owner or manager so they can take care of it right away.
