Thank you for your review, we appreciate it and offer our apologies for the issues during the stay. We work very hard to try and make sure that things like this don't happen but occasionally there are mistakes by the cleaner / housekeeping team etc and we apologise for how this affected your stay. We do feel that the review ignores the many positives about this beautiful property and also misses out some key information about how we and the owners reacted to the problems mentioned. We would like to mention that the guests arrived early before the stated check in time before cleaning was complete which we believe certainly affected their first impressions. We then arranged for the cleaners to return twice to the property at the guests request and when the guests said they were still not satisfied with the cleaners works we offered to return 30% of the cost of their stay. The guests accepted this and whilst we were disappointed that our the cleaners didn't get the cleaning right first time, we believed that we had responded quickly and professionally to the issue and that the substantial refund for inconvenience had gone some way to make the issue right for the guests. For this reason we feel that a one star review is a little harsh and we believe the compensation and early arrival should be at least written in the review so other guests have a fair picture of what happened, as well as some mention of the very many positive features of the property. As for the comments about the kitchen equipment, we will review with the owners of the apartment but other guests have not made similar comments. In our and many other guests' view the kitchen is high quality, spacious and well equipped. In terms of the beds – after their stay guests informed us about a faulty spring-core in one of the mattresses which we replaced immediately. Since posting the review we have been in discussion with the guests, who have agreed with our points above and have said they are willing to amend their review so it is more balanced, but to date they have not managed to do this and we hope this will be done soon.

Many thanks for your extensive review which will hopefuly be of use to other guests. One comment would be about the storage in the second bedroom - each of the beds has extensive storage inside them. Apologies you didnt find this - we have now added this info to our guest information pack.
