Ocean Front Beach House in Augustine Cove

The Cove House is an ocean front, well-appointed beach house on Augustine Cove which features family friendly warm water, red sand and spectacular views in all directions. The Cove House Sleeps up to 10 guests with a Master BR and Guest BR both with queen beds, a Bunk Room with 2 full beds and 2 twin beds and a private studio room with a new / comfortable queen pull out. There are 3 bathrooms including an ensuite in Master BR and in addition there is a wonderful outdoor shower as well.
There is easy and private access to the water by a short sandy path that begins off the backyard and brings you right out to the cove. The expansive 16' x 30' deck overlooking the cove creates a wonderful outdoor living space with breathtaking views of Augustine Cove which is just steps away. Deck has 6 Adirondack chairs, an 8' foot picnic table and a Weber Grill. For the quiet family evenings enjoy our 50" HD TV with cable and over 75 DVDs to choose from. Our dining table seats 10 and another 4 along the breakfast bar. We are a 5 min drive to Borden where you will find restaurant and ice cream options and 5 min drive the otehr way to the quaint seaside town of Victoria-by-the Sea where you will find the Victoria Playhouse (live theater) beautiful little shops and 4 restaurants. Deep Sea fishing is a favorite for our family, and we go out of North Rustico which is about a 40 minute ride across the island.
Golfers? PEI offers golfing for everyone with some of the top course in Canada. To explore more please check out www.golfpei.com.
The house is well outfitted for the beach with 4 kayaks, a bocci set, beach chairs, beach towels, etc.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need for a full course dinner, clambake or cookout.
For those rainy or lazy days you'll find a great selection of family favorite puzzles, books and board games.

Truly wonderful!

This is an absolutely beautiful house on a lovely stretch of quiet beach. We had such a great two week holiday! The tasteful decor of the house, the amenities, the location, the fully-outfitted kitchen, the movies/books/board games - all are top-notch. They have thought of absolutely everything. Looking forward to going back! Thanks so much for a truly wonderful trip!

Beautiful property

My family (ranging in ages between 2.5 and 97) enjoyed a week's stay at this large cottage with water access. Most cottages on the island are small and often bunched together. This property is special in that it is on a large property and is spacious, light, and fully equipped. Highly recommend!

So Relaxing

My family and I loved this house and the area. Very quiet and private area, large yard for many yard games. I brought some but the house has a lot! The owners thought about everything for your needs. If you need it it’s there. The house is beautiful. We just got home and I’m already talking about going back. Thank you Paul for a lovely family vacation.

Beautiful stay

My family and I just returned from PEI and loved our stay at the Cove House. The location is stunning and the house is beautifully appointed and offers anything that you may need for your holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! ❤️

Wonderful family vacation

We stayed with our family for two weeks at this beautiful beach house and had an incredible time. From seafood dinners made in the well equipped kitchen and eaten at the large dining table, to puzzles and games in the seating area, to long walks on the beach with the tide out, relaxing on the large porch with a coffee in the morning, to falling asleep to the sounds of the waves in the gorgeous master bedroom; this vacation was so enjoyable and relaxing. The location was a perfect homebase for getting out and enjoying all the island has to offer. Would highly recommend to others and we will get back here as soon as we can!

Another great week at Cove House

Our two families (including 4 boys under 8) had an amazing week at the Cove House. This was our second year, and it didn’t disappoint yet again! Our week was filled with afternoon beach explorations, impromptu soccer games on the lawn, relaxing in the hammock, sipping your favourite cocktail on the back deck tons of great memories! The house is exactly what you want for a week in PEI; comfortable, well equipped and beautifully situated and designed. Local highlights include: u-pick strawberries in nearby Victoria, amazing fish and chips and seafood (and lots of ice cream cones) at Richards in Victoria by the Sea, fun Lobster dinners at home and daily explorations on the ocean floor at low tide. Paul is a very gracious and accommodating host and was always responsive to any questions prior to our stay. You won’t be disappointed you booked this house. Just stop looking and do it. Thank you Paul and Kathy for another great week. -The Sykes & Leroux Crew

Family Vacation in August

We had an excellent stay. The house is beautiful and exactly as advertised. The hosts are very responsive to any questions. Beautiful yard with a short path to an amazing beach. I would highly recommend this property.

Great Stay!!

Our family of 6 rented this wonderful property in July 2022. The setting, space and finishings of the house were beyond our expectations. The setting was truly relaxing and extremely peaceful. We loved our beach walks and golf, evening cocktails on the deck and spending time around the property. Paul was a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking process and prior to check-in. It truly felt like home and we look forward to returning next summer!! Thank you Paul

Family vacation July 2022

We are a family of eight and really enjoyed our vacation at the property. It is very private. We loved watching the tide go in and out and the beautiful sunsets. We played games and cards every night. We recommend this property!

Beach house is 5 star!

We had the most amazing stay! The house was absolutely stunning and was perfect for all our needs! It was spacious, clean, and if we had any questions they were answered in no time at all! We enjoyed the amazing sunrises, beautiful sunsets! The kids had the best time walking out to the ocean when the tide was out, finding shells, playing bocce, shooting golf balls. We also did a few day trips and it was the perfect location to go here and there. Paul recommended some restaurants and they did not disappoint! We will miss the amazing views and will be back! I have zero compalinte about this property. It was beautiful in every single way!

Amazing Experience

We had a group of two families with small children (age 1-6) and had an incredible time. The home is beautiful and very well kept with a nice flat yard and steps to the ocean. The cove is so unique and at low tide turns into basically a huge sandbox. This place will impress kids and adults alike. We would highly recommend it.

Enjoyed our stay in Augustine Cove.

We stayed in the Cove house with two other couples from 7/7/18-7/14/18. It was perfect for our group as we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. One of the bedrooms has 3 twin beds, so suitable for families. The home was very clean and nicely furnished. It had everything we needed and more - furniture, living space, books, games, puzzles, tv, wifi, stereo, etc. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances, pots and pans, cooking utensils, and an abundance of serving dishes (and coffee mugs!). The deck overlooking the bay is very large; we used the 6 comfortable Adirondack chairs every day. We also used the 4 kayaks as there is a short passageway through the tall grass to the waterfront. We found some back river channels that were nice because the seawater was often choppy. It’s a beautiful view from the back deck and we went walking along the shore when the tide was out. We used the fire pit on several nights, and the house has 6 portable chairs to set around the fire. We also rode the bikes provided around the area. Victoria city had some nice restaurants and craft/antique shops and is about 15 minutes away. Charlottetown also had a nice section of restaurants/bars. Lots of options for golfing and sightseeing. We drove to all parts of the island from Augustine Cove. The owner (Paul) was very accommodating and responsive regarding any questions or concerns we had. Prior to the trip, he responded within a day with answers to any questions and was helpful in providing details about the house and PEI. We had a couple questions when we were at the house and he responded within an hour or two. Handling payments was very easy and he sent the deposit refund check the day after we left. (Note: During our vacation, the US-Canada currency rate favors the U.S. and we got some money off the VRBO listed price which is in Canadian $.) We had a great stay and would highly recommend this house if you’re looking for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting.

Lovely cottage in a gorgeous location.

Cove House was perfect for our family vacation on PEI. We enjoyed relaxing on the large deck, kayaking, and riding bikes. The house is spacious and very comfortable. Wonderful vacation spot!

Fantastic family vacation

This is a great house and location for a family vacation. A newly built home with all the modern amenities but with the charm and character of a more traditional beach house - impeccably equipped and decorated. It was perfect for our family of 7 adults + 1 infant. The main floor den makes a great 4th bedroom (with pull out couch). The location is fantastic on a quiet road with beautiful views of the beach and cover - perfect for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. Beach is great for long walks at low tide and kayaking at high tide. We would highly recommend for a family vacation. Paul was very helpful and accessible throughout the booking process and vacation.

Great Week in PEI

We had a great week at this beautiful cottage in Augustine Cove. We've stayed in PEI many times before, and we can definitely say that this was one of the nicest places. When the tide is out, there's plenty of beach to play on, and we took full advantage of everything that was on offer at the cottage--particularly the kayaks and board games. Overall, we would definitely recommend this beach house to families with young children.

Heaven on Earth

We stumbled upon this beautiful home while planning our first trip to PEI and we were not disappointed. We truly couldn't decide which was more wonderful, the house or the island. Just steps from the red sand and calm water bay, we were able dig for clams and paddle board on the calmest ocean water I have ever seen. The home was decorated with every detail you would need. Well furnished and the attention to detail may make it so you might not want to venture out to the island. But if you do, there is so much to do on this island of paradise. I think that if you are considering staying on the island please look no further. Plenty of activities to from kayaking up the river to playing a little football on the beach. You definitely will not be disappointed. The owners were very hospitable and answer everyone of my questions promptly. Not only would we recommend this property, we will be back soon.

Summer Paradise

Beautiful 3-4 bedroom new cottage, kid friendly on a quiet bay

This house is new, clean and very well decorated in a beachy pottery barn theme-amazing. The kitchen had everything needed to make a great meal, enough room for our 11 people to be seated around dining table and bar area. Nice TV room off the kitchen with great book selection and board games for the kids. Enough bathrooms to accommodate us all, very clean with nice clean fluffy towels provided. House comes with new washer and dryer. The views of the bay from the house was perfect. We loved the kayaks provided with the house, we would go kayaking and explore the bay at high tide, there is no beach to play on when there is high tide. However when the tide is low, the whole bay is a beach, we went clam digging and cooked them for dinner that evening. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Staying at this wonderful oceanfront beach house couldn't have been more perfect. From shucking oysters on the large ocean facing deck, eating lobster as the tide rolled in and out, or watching the beautiful sunsets as we walked the mud flats. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone of any age, particularly if you are looking for the perfect and memorable family vacation! The area in itself is charming and hospitable. There are activities for any liking all over the island. See beautiful sights at every turn. The island can be as exciting or relaxing as you wish. From bridge jumping, golfing, bike riding, walking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, or just sight seeing. At this Augustine Cove location, everything is handy. We travelled with our 12,14 and 16 year old, and there was never a mutter of boredom! Renting this beautiful beach house provided us with home away from home amenities. Nothing has been overlooked. The tasteful and comfortable furnishings in all areas of the home made the stay impeccable.The bedrooms are each decorated straight out of Pottery Barn, and the breeze that blows in off the water at night is the frosting on the cake. There are PEI views from every window, washer and dryer, and a functional kitchen which was great for cooking the local seafood which you can pick up at a fresh market only minutes away! There is even an outdoor shower that couldn't be more refreshing at the end of the day. The beach house was rustic yet everything is brand new and perfect. We will definitely stay at this rental again in the near future. The owners were happy to offer recommendations of places to go, places to eat, etc. They were very warm and helpful. Without hesitation, we give this rental 5 stars!!

How we stumbled upon PEI. When we first visited PEI in 2009 we rented a home for a week and enjoyed our stay so much that we actually bought this waterfront land while we were there! Over the next several years we returned to PEI every summer - again renting homes- and as we became more and more attached to this wonderful island we finally decided to build our own family vacation home which was completed in the spring of 2014. We built this home with our expanding family in mind. Walks on the beach , family boccie games on the red sand at low tide, shucking oysters on the expansive deck over looking the Northumberland Strait , movie nights as we hear the soft sound of the waves … our family has built lasting memories here. My wife and I wanted a beach house to provide our family a place to make these memories .. a place we would look forward to coming back year after year together.
