Back deck with view of Currituck Sound - gorgeous sunsets! Front deck off 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Short walk to the ocean, beautiful sunrises! 2.5 mi. north of "downtown" Duck with paved walk/bike path all the way! 1.4 mi. south of The Sanderling Resort!

You can Search "bike rentals in Duck, NC" if you are interested in renting bicycles during your stay. Search "beach gear in Duck, NC" if you would like to get your gear when you arrive.

There are great places to eat nearby in "downtown" Duck. Sit on the back deck at Sunset Grill with outdoor bar overlooking the Currituck Sound and watch gorgeous sunsets. Blue Point is awesome, located right on the Sound as well. There is also Roadside Grill, Duck Deli (great for breakfast, too!), among others. Search "restaurants in Duck, NC" and you'll see a number of great places to eat. Lots of great shops to visit as well. Don't forget to stop by Duck Donuts for fresh hot "homemade-style" donuts! Search "shops in duck, nc" to see the many great shops to explore."

Pets: Unfortunately, we do not allow pets because we have hard floors throughout the house that might scratch, and in consideration of travelers with pet allergies. Thanks for your consideration in advance!

Parties: While we do not mind if you have a few friends and family over to visit, the house is not suited for parties or other events. Appreciate your understanding!

Great Getaway

We had a wonderful time. The place was clean, comfy and the views made for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this cottage and we will definitely be back.

Great long weekend

I stayed at Jim’s place with my husband and toddler, and a family we are friends with. It was a great stay, convenient location with a gorgeous view of the sound. Loved that there was a closet full of toys for the little ones to play with. We’d absolutely stay again!

Great Vacation!

The Family enjoy the home and had a Great Vacation! The home had everything we needed for our stay and the beach gear and beach buggy cart was very helpful and we used everyday on our trip. The Sunset views from the deck in the evenings were amazing!

Great place for a family stay

Great place to stay, plenty of comfortable living area and nice view of the sound. Everything was as promised and Jim was more than happy to answer our questions. Highly recommend.

The check in process was easy and we did get to check in early. The house was nice we did have an issue with refrigerator it wasn’t cooling but I texted Jim and he called right away and gave us access to the one in the garage but it started working the next day and everything was fine. Overall the stay was good and we had a good time

So nice

The house was very convenient to the beach and the walk is all through neighborhood so no crossing heavy traffic. We loved the porches and lots of toys for our kids.

Awesome weekend away

We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean, we'll supplied, and convenient to both the ocean and the sound. Jim the owner was quick to respond to all communication. We would definitely come back for another visit. The Argeny and Lay Families

Great location at Duck

House is a perfect location to walk to the beach. Just far enough out of the fray of Duck but close enough to enjoy it's amenities. Homeowner provides a beach cart so that you can roll your stuff down to the beach. House is dated but spotless!

Wonderful Weekend

This house was just perfect for our weekend. It is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and then some! The location is great. It is very convenient to the town of Duck, yet away from some of the crowds. The beach is a quick walk away. The owner responded quickly to any questions. We hope to be back!

Better than expected. Well maintained, comfortable and clean.

Home was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Bedrooms were decent sized and beds were very comfortable. Beach was an easy 5 min walk. Would stay here again. Jim was very helpful and responsive

Great clean home

We were in town for a wedding and at the last minute realized we did not book enough houses for everyone to have a bed so last minute Jim was very accommodating in getting us into his house the same day we called. The house is very comfortable and if we ever go back to Duck we will call Jim to stay here again.

This is my wife Connie’s mother and father's former home. You will see the "Pop's Delight" sign hanging in the great room. They loved the house and beach so much! We know you and your family and friends will have a great time at our house! The outdoor shower is to die for! Motion sensor light for nighttime showering! Quiet neighborhood just a few miles north of "downtown" Duck with walk/bike path all the way! Just a few minutes walk to the ocean and across the street from the Currituck Sound. Great views of gorgeous sunsets from the back deck! Hoping to host your stay-cation soon!
