This home is located in the best area of the Bayshore neighborhood in Waldport. We are out of the blowing sand area to the south and the marshy beach access to the north. Truly the best beach access area in the community. The home sits directly on the sand with a short path to the beach through small, sea grass covered dunes. As you enter the door of this family friendly home, you are greeted by an amazing ocean view through the large great room windows. The living room is on your left and is outfitted with leather couches and reclining chair. Plenty of seating for your party to watch a movie on the flat screen tv or just admire the view of the sea grass and sparkling ocean. This home provides smart TV’s and FuboTV with enhanced sports package including Pac12 😋Network. WiFi access throughout the house. Directly adjacent to the living room is the open dining and kitchen area. The charming cottage dining table with custom beach upholstery will accommodate your party. Or sit the kids at the large kitchen peninsula. There are three barstools and plenty of dining space. The bright, white kitchen is outfitted with a smooth top electric range with large oven, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer large enough to fit all your vacation groceries. There is plenty of floor and counter space for several people to prep meals at the same time. The well stocked kitchen has quite a few small appliances and gadgets, plenty to make most gourmet meals. And while you are prepping meals and sitting down to eat, you always have the ocean view just outside the windows.
Head down the hall and on your right you will find the first bathroom. It is equipped with a sink, toilet and a large soaker tub/shower combo, perfect to soak in after a day adventuring at the coast. The bathroom also has a door to the first bedroom. The bedroom has a very thick pillow top queen mattress and bedside tables. There is plenty of closet space with shelves and hangers for your clothing and suitcase storage. Directly across the hall is a charming bedroom with two twin beds, decorated in a nautical theme. This is the perfect bedroom for children, with plenty of space to hang out. Take the staircase down to the second level. At the base of the stairs on your right, you will find a family room. This room is a great place for the kids to watch tv or a movie or play a game, away from the adults upstairs. Or if you are looking for a quiet place to curl up with a good book, there is a recliner and sofa for your relaxation. The sofa converts into a full sized bed. There is a privacy curtain in the entry way, turning this room into a 4th bedroom. To the left at the end of the stairs you will find a game closet outfitted with games and puzzles, suitable for both adults and children. There are coloring books for the little ones and children's books to enjoy while in the house. Down the hallway to the right is a large bedroom with a comfy Casper king bed. There are bedside tables with lamps for evening reading and plenty of outlets for recharging your electronics. There is a full sized dresser and closet for your clothing and plenty of hangers to keep things neat. Adjacent to the king bedroom, you will find a linen closet with all the bath and beach towels necessary for your stay. The second bathroom is directly adjacent to the king bedroom. This bathroom is equipped with a stand up shower stall, sink and toilet. Further down the hall you will find the laundry room. The laundry room is equipped with front load HE washer and dryer. There is also a utility sink, iron and ironing board for your use. Back down the hall and to your right is a door leading to the game room. Here you will find a foosball table and dart board for your gaming fun. There is a seating area with side tables. Set down your drinks and snacks and get ready for some competitive fun. The game room is also home to sand toys for the little ones and plenty of lawn chairs to relax on the beach.
At the end of the day, sit on the large, oceanfront deck and enjoy the unique beauty of an ocean sunset while sipping a local wine or craft beer. If you are lucky, you might see spouting whales right off our beach. They are easily seen in the summer from the deck or inside the house. Feeling a little chilly, or just like cooking over fire? Feel free to start a fire in the house fire ring, located directly in front of the deck on the lawn area. We have plenty of hot dog/marshmallow sticks to make dinner and dessert s'mores. Enjoy telling ghost stories in the evening around a warm fire. If you prefer, there is a large gas bbq on the deck for your grilling needs. Beach fires are allowed on our beach when current regulations allow, so if you want to be near the water with your evening fire, you are more than welcome to make a fire on the beach.
As a guest in this home, you have access to Bayshore Beach Club. There is a heated seasonal pool guests can use for a daily fee. The season runs from mid-June - mid-September.
Waldport is centrally located between Newport to the north and Yachats and Florence to the south. The seven miles of sandy beach outside our door are perfect for making sand castles, taking long walks on the beach or just relaxing. Head to the south and you will run into the Alsea River where it meets the Pacific Ocean. Look for the seals popping their heads out of the water to greet you. Head to the north and you can walk all the way to Seal Rock. Here you can harvest mussels from the rocks if you have the proper permit.
