The Penthouse requires a minimum 2-night stay on weekends, and with the ability to sleep 20 people in the 6 bedrooms, 5-bathroom suite, your visit to the Penthouse will be one to remember! Guests have access to underground parking, Rec Room with shuffleboard table, private rooftop deck with 6-person hot tub and a view of the huge stadium screen. Eateries at the Grand Manse include Blue Orchid Thai Restaurant, Grey Whale Sushi and Hurts Donuts. Visit Boiler Brewing room for some of our favorite craft beer!



Hosts will be available 24/7 for any maintenance issues, questions, or concerns.



Located in the heart of downtown Lincoln within walking distance to the University of Nebraska, Memorial Stadium, Pinnacle Bank Arena, Amtrak Station, Haymarket Park, Lied Center, downtown bars and restaurants as well as the Historic Haymarket District ā€¦ just a block away.



The Grand Manse is a location unlike any other in Nebraska. The histories of some of Nebraskaā€™s famous citizens have been interwoven with the history of the space in its former incarnation as the U.S. Court House and Post Office. The Grand Manse, reflects the building itself ā€œthe great houseā€ filled to the roof with marble, terrazzo, oak, maple, brass and many of the elements that were fundamental materials used when a grand structure was being built in 1904. It also reflects the new chapter in history that is being built in the space: the stories of brides and grooms, honored guests, esteemed retirees and executives, who choose The Grand Manse as the perfect venue for their celebrations, events, specialty and corporate lodging.

The Grand Manse is a non-smoking facility. If you need to smoke, please do outside away from any main entrance door. If there has been smoking inside the room, there will be a minimum fee of $250 charged to your room.

For the last 35 years, my brothers, friends annd now our sons, have come back for a Husker game and a weekend of golf. The last three years at this property and this has been a great place to stay for us.

We had a great stay! This place is the perfect location for Husker game weekends. The kitchen is great with the butlers pantry that has additional full size refrigerator. The property was clean and spacious. We were able to see some of the night game activities from the roof top patio. Our host responded quickly to the couple of questions I had. We would highly recommend!

Beautiful property, easy check in and check out process, great communication with the host. We used this as a space for the groomsmen in my son's wedding. Everything was perfect and we would definitely consider staying at this property again.

Cynthia made the experience of the property perfect for our family celebration. Multiple generations of our families were able to stay in one location with all amenities desired. Simply the best group spot in downtown Lincoln! We will be back again.

Family Time

We had plenty of room to spread out on the premises/some on the rooftop in the hot tub, some watching football on the tv, some cooking away in the kitchen, some playing cards at the big table, and youth upstairs playing XBox. Everyone found their niche!

We had a group in to celebrate a birthday and attend the Ohio State game. The house accommodated the 14 of us easily. The rooftop was perfect for our tailgate and the main area made it easy for us all to gather. All of the amenities you would need are present and high end. We loved our stay.

Perfect location for a family reunion

This well-equipped property is not only gorgeous, it is comfortable, walking distance to restaurants and bars, but more importantly allowed us all a chance to catch up, chat and play games. We enjoyed the beautiful Nebraska sunsets from the rooftop patio and loved spending time in the hot tub. Thank you for the hospitality and providing so many luxurious amenities. We would love to rent this property again.

AMAZING!

We were just guests for a few hours of the party that rented this property and we were simply amazed. This is one of the best locations we have ever seen. The party that rented this location had nothing but wonderful things to say about the owners of this location. I would highly recommend this to anyone, we were in awe the entire time we were there.

Unbelievable Property

This property was one of the best I have ever rented. It was the perfect property for my wife and I to host our family and some friends for a post wedding celebration for our daughter. Carrie was awesome setting everything up and communicating with us before, during, and after our stay. Thank you for making our family celebration memorable for all who attended.

Family football weekend

Our family has been gathering in Lincoln for a Husker football weekend for many years. We have found our favorite spot now with this property. The property manager (Sunshine) was very responsive and helpful with our questions. The property was extremely clean, organized and was so close to everywhere we were planning on visiting during our stay. Its right next to the booming Haymarket District and within walking distance to the University City Campus and the Stadium. Our well traveled and local friends were amazed at the views from the rooftop terrace and our younger crowd took in the hot tub as the social gathering spot. Overall it far exceeded our expectations and we have already booked for next year. The Liggett Family

Wonderful Place to stay in Lincoln NE!

The Grand Manse is an absolutely beautiful, comfortable and historical home in downtown Lincoln. Our family traveled here to watch a college football game. We experienced an easy and very accommodating process for reserving this penthouse. The rooms are spacious, lovely and extremely comfortable and everything is high end! We were all so impressed. The hot tub and the roof top deck were so relaxing and you could see the game on the very large jumbo-tron at the stadium! The location is right in the middle of many restaurants, coffee shops and stores! The Childrens' Museum (which is walkable also from the penthouse) is outstanding and our grandchildren loved it. We never used the cars! Thank you for your gracious hospitality! We highly recommend your lovely home!

Grand Manse is Indeed Grand

We take road trips to all the Big Ten cities for football games and the Grand Manse set the standard by which all other trips will be measured. This historic former federal building converted into apartments has modern fixtures, but historic floors and woodwork. It's huge, it's well maintained, it has everything we could want for our trip, plus. We got a lot of use out of the fantastic kitchen and the terrific rooftop terrace with the hot tub, the BBQ, and the sighting of the Jumbotron from the football stadium. Because I organized the trip, my son and I got to select the master suite for our room. There was a shower big enough to pack the whole gang into, about a dozen closets, fireplace, skylights, modern fixtures in the bathroom, and great appointments. The location, 4 blocks from the stadium and 2 blocks from campus, and right in the middle of downtown was perfect for our gang to go in any direction they wanted without trying to organize cars and people ā€¦ everything was within walking distance. Sunshine, who manages the place, was a pleasure to work with and on top of everything. We were making a steak dinner for 12 but couldn't find sufficient steak knives for the group. New steak knives were there within hours. She gave us great tips about restaurants in the area and a friend of hers selling great baked goodies at the farmer's market on Saturday. Next time our team plays at Nebraska, weā€™ll be back, and weā€™ll be selecting the Grand Manse!

Family and friends Husker weekend

We had stayed at this property in September of 2021 so this was a return visit for us. Great location, great amenities and plenty of room for people to spread out. Everyone had a great time and we are currently checking our calendars to book a return visit.
