This charming 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath home features a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, a relaxed living area with a comfy sofa, and thoughtfully furnished bedrooms with soft linens and cozy bedding. Additional comforts include a washer/dryer, BBQ grill, high-speed WiFi, onsite parking, and private access.

Step onto the lanai and take in lush tropical surroundings, mountain peaks, and even the occasional waterfall. With adventure just minutes away and serenity all around, Ha‘ena Place is your ideal home base on Kaua‘i’s North Shore.

TSUNAMI ZONE: This property is located along the coast of Kauai in the tsunami evacuation zone.

Great house, walkable to Tunnels Beach. This place was perfect for our family of 4, the wrap around porch was perfect for taking advantage of the cool breeze. Being able to walk down to Tunnels multiple times a day is incredible, and the house was really well appointed.

It exceeded our expectations and we loved it

The house was perfect for our family of 4, not only was it clean and comfortable but had lovely seating areas all around the verandah to sit and enjoy the surrounding scenery. We couldn't have asked for a better location either, the North was nothing less than spectacular.

Location and comfort

On a quiet cul-de-sac with a deck view of the pali, this comfortable house was perfect for a couple or small family. 7 min walk to the beach and 3 more to Tunnels with the Napali cliffs in view. Easy process to access and Very responsive management. We’ll appointed with kitchen amenities and older Hawaiian style. Next best thing to being oceanfront.

Waking up to the sounds of beautiful birds (and roosters 😅) made it feel like we were in a lush jungle. The short walk to the Tunnels beach allowed us to not have to worry about parking. We loved the laid back north shore vibe and hope to return again in the future!

Very comfortable, clean, well stocked with kitchen, house and outdoor activity supplies.

Nice house in a small, quiet neighborhood. Loved the view of the mountains. Loved the spacious porch. Easy access to beautiful beach. Great place for two couples. However, if you like to sleep in, the island rooster and bird population tend too be a bit too loud at dawn. But that's life in the tropics! We all agreed an outdoor dining table on the deck is needed. Overall, a very good pick for us!

Great stay

Exactly as pictured and described. Although there are 4 or 5 other houses nearby, they are all positioned for privacy and everyone seemed to value the quiet as we did. We particularly enjoyed the view from the main living area and waking up to birdsong (and the unbiquitous roosters). The rental was very well equipped, from cookware & kitchen appliances to beach gear (including snorkel masks). The location was perfect for us -- a short walk to Tunnels beach and a short drive to the botanical garden and Kalalau Trail at Ke'e beach. Highly recommended.

Rode bikes 2 minutes to tunnels every day. If you are looking for a real north shore experience this is it. The view of the mountain from the front deck is incredible. Comfy beds and great kitchen. We appreciated the freshly painted wrap around decks with all the seating areas, the louvered windows and plug-in fans, the outdoor shower, and the beach chairs. We found we could linger on the deck after sunset, mosquito free.(To save other guests awkwardly searching in others’ backyards like we did, the path to the beach is not actually in the cul de sac but rather it’s the next driveway down the main road. The walk along this lovely tree-lined access road, to the beach, and then on to the swimmable part of Tunnels Beach takes 10-15 minutes.) We enjoyed waking up at sunrise and getting in lots of snorkeling before the winds picked up. Aside from food runs, we didn’t use our car much.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you had to know one thing about this place, know this: walking distance to Tunnels Beach. Great thing in the old days too, but now with limited parking - it's just fantastic. Very few people are able to get to that beach (one of the best in the world?), and if you stay here - you will be among the lucky ones. Also: the front side of lanai, with the dining table offers a spectacular view. I swear, I could feel my eyesight improving after hours of looking at those green hillsides in the distance. The lanai in the back also great - greenery abounds, plus it's screen in (although, there was not a single insect to be found on the island during our stay - probably seasonal thing).I can report that with the temps in the mid 80ties, we didn't miss the A/C. Trade winds are almost constant, and you can regulate the feel inside by opening/closing various doors. Much preferred listening the palm trees sway in the wind then the hum of an A/C anyway (didn't use the provided fans either). We had a couple of questions, and the management answered them promptly, so we felt well attended to. Overall: highly recommended!

Great location!

Comfortable home. Easy access to walk to beach and best snorkeling on the island. Well equipped for the most part just could use some dish towels and pot holders! If you don’t want to get in your car much, this is the perfect spot!

Spacious, comfortable house in beautiful location

We loved our stay at this house! It was very spacious for 2 people (would also work well for 2 couples) and we loved the big windows, wraparound porch, and large yard area. The setting is gorgeous and location offers a quiet, scenic escape only a 15 min drive from Hanalei, and walking distance to Tunnels beach. We can't wait to come back and stay here again!

Perfect location

The house was exactly what we were wanting... perfect location, views, and amenities. The rental company was great. The bridge at Hanalei was flooded with a tree stuck on the bridge the evening we arrived. After waiting at the bridge for 3 hours and being up almost 24 hours we called the rental company and they immediately put us in another property for the night. The only issue we had with the house was sporadically our phones wouldn’t charge in the outlets. But it was not enough of an issue to contact the rental company. We plan to return two more times within the next year. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home!

Awesome Vacation Home

The property had beautiful views from the deck, was well equipped, and clean. They also included beach towels and beach chairs! We could walk to the beach so rarely had to get in our car. The property manager was great! They were easy to contact, replied to all questions quickly, and kept us up to date on the road conditions (associated with the 2016 floods).

A comfortable house with a wonderful outdoor shower.

We rented this house in late March of 2018 and were really impressed by its proximity to Tunnels beach, its amenities, and the level of comfort it provided. Upon entering the place for the first time we were struck by the number of windows, the deck space, and how the owners had provided everything we needed for our stay. Our favorite feature was the outdoor shower, followed closely by the home's nearness to our favorite beach on Kauai. I would recommend this home to anyone wishing to stay on the North Shore of Kauai.

Excellent location and very comfortable property with great Mountain View.

Lighting could have been better in living room and kitchen. Loved the screened in porch. Roosters bothered us first few nights but got used to it.

Such a beautiful unique location.

Stayed here with our two boys (10 and 12). View of the waterfall from the porch was incredible....especially after a good rain! The trail down to the beach...equally as cool. Can't beat this very unique north shore location......a very unique Kauai experience away from all the crowds. Beds were very comfy. Older property inside, but location trumps that. Need a more comfy couch though for those cool mornings and cool nights. Loved having the beach chairs, cooler and boogies available for use. Note....in winter Tunnels beach (walking distance) not for beginners. We were able to snorkel close to shore one day, but our boys are ocean savvy......otherwise it's often closed for swimming in winter. Definitely not for beginners in winter, but the beauty is unreal....great for beach combing. Would definitely come back.

Nice and quiet stay

The house is not as big and bright as it looks on the pictures but it is very nice, well equipped, and especially very, very clean! We appreciated it a lot, that the balcony in the rear was covered with mosquito screens, so we could sit outside. The beds are comfortable. A five minutes walk will take you to the beach. Please take into consideration that on heavy rainfalls, the bridge to Princeville and finally to the Airport can be closed for hours and you can not get through. We had to wait 10 hours and missed all our flights home.

We have been having a wetter than usual Autumn, but the bridge does get closed due to heavy rain a few times each year. That's why the landscape on the north shore is so lush! Please note that we always recommend purchasing travel insurance, which would have covered your missed flight.
