Words can’t express how great our stay was with John & Ann. They were incredible hosts. The cottage was beautiful and in the perfect setting, and they added multiple personal touches to make the stay even better. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful, restful, cozy cottage with gorgeous views of the mountains and bay. Gracious hosts made the vacation like a visit to a family friend. Peaceful mornings strolling through the property, which has a lovely garden. Can’t say enough good things about our hosts and the little slice of paradise they have created.

Our late summer stay at Treetops was idyllic. The cottage truly felt like a home away from home. From the comfy bed to the well equipped kitchen to the life preservers for the kayaks, all our needs were met and more! John and Ann are stellar hosts who radiate a welcoming and hospitable energy. The location is well suited for all things outdoors. We enjoyed hikes, visits to Acadia, bird watching, and most of all, daily kayaking. We left feeling refreshed and restored.

We had a wonderful stay at John and Ann's Treetops Cottage. John welcomed us upon our arrival and showed us around the property to make us feel right at home. It was easy to drive in to surrounding towns and to MDI. It was great also being close to Schoodic Point and we were able to take the ferry into Bar Harbor one day which was a fun day trip!The cottage is outfitted with anything you could possibly need. It was clean, well kept and very peaceful. Our favorite part was the screened in porch and ocean breeze that kept us cool all week. There were a lot of easy-moderate hiking trails nearby, not counting Acadia, and tons of great restaurant options. We would definitely stay again.

Everything about this property met or exceeded expectations. John the host was very welcoming and helpful getting us settled & oriented. Sadly the weather didn't cooperate so we were not able to take full advantage of all the amenities; e.g., kayaks. Treetops is a great place to anchor and explore the surrounding area. Plus the views are awesome!

TreeTops is a very clean, comfortable and fully equipped cottage with all the comforts of home. Perched high on a hill, it overlooks Cadillac Mountain, Acadia and Bar Harbor in the distance. In the evening, the mountain colors slowly change from sea blue to a beautiful purple as sunset approaches. The property has well-maintained rock gardens and direct frontage on Flanders Bay, with a daily tidal fluctuation as much as 11 feet. Kayaks and two Adirondack chairs are available down the hill at waters edge, such a great place to read and observe the changing tides. TreeTops was the perfect cottage for two of us to enjoy a very relaxing Maine vacation!!

Beautiful stay and was everything the posting said it would be. The hosts are extremely generous in sharing their property, gardens and kayaks to access the quiet water off of their property. We loved it.

This site was a gorgeous house and location, with stunning views from the back deck and upper screened-in porch, and a 4-min. walk to the boathouse and water. Also wonderfully generous hosts, easy access to the Schoodic Peninsula and Mt. Desert Island, and a very comfy king-size bed!
The Corea Heath loop trail is only 15 mins from the house, with beautiful views, cool lichen, lots of boardwalk and a few benches in just the right places..

Wonderful location with extraordinarily gracious hosts. Beautiful waterfront, and many watercraft choices. Close enough to Acadia to enjoy the Park, but far enough away to avoid the craziness. We enjoyed our week so much we’ll be doubling it next year.

We had a remarkable stay. John and Ann were great hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and stunning. We could not have picked a more perfect place. Everyday was breathtaking. All our accommodations were perfect. It as so hard to leave. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic cottage and host!

This cottage exceeded our expectations. From the moment we pulled up and were welcomed by our gracious host, John, to our last morning cup of coffee on the deck, we were able to enjoy and relax. We HIGHLY recommend John’s cottage and we plan to return!

A great stay, in a great location, with great views and easy water access. The hosts are welcoming, knowledgeable, and eager to make you feel comfortable. The cottage is three floors, with a superb deck. Every floor offers great views of Frenchman's Bay and Acadia. Comfortable and cosy, you are literally among the treetops! A grand stay.

Amazing cottage

This was our 3rd year staying at this cottage and we loved everything about it! Location, perfect! View, perfection! Our hosts, amazing! Everything you need is at your fingertips and the cottage was perfect, as usual. John, Ann and Brandy are wonderful hosts and we will be back for year 4 next year!

The property far exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect and we were well taken care of by our hosts. We were very comfortable inside and enjoyed the outside of the property as well. The views were spectacular from all 3 levels of the home. We took advantage of using the kayaks provided in the bay. The location was convenient to Acadia NP, Schoodic Point, grocery stores, restaurants and gas.

Peaceful

We’ve have stayed at many VRBO’s, this was by far the best experience we’ve ever had. John and Ann went above and beyond making sure our home was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The surrounding gardens are gorgeous and the view from the screened in porch was simply beautiful. We can’t wait to return.

The Treetops property was absolutely gorgeous. The cottage is a few steps down the path from the main residence, which is lined with beautiful gardens and a dry stream bed. Further down the hill there’s delightful little spot with a deck and chairs where you can look over the water. There’s an abundance of windows in the cottage that let in lots of light and offers beautiful vistas at every turn. My favorite spot was a reading nook where you could sit with your choice from dozens of great titles they have tucked around the house and still gaze at Cadillac Mountain in the distance.The small kitchen is well appointed with everything that you could need. John was a thoughtful host and made sure that we had everything we needed to be comfortable. He took my husband on a boat ride where they saw seals in Flanders Bay.We can’t wait to come back!

Peaceful paradise with a bird's eye view

Every day was different....the sky, the water, the weather...and it was all breathtakingly beautiful. In a prime location to explore all of Acadia National Park, Tree Tops is the perfect place for a home base with views and amenities to make a day in a lovely experience. The hosts, John and Ann see to your every need while preserving your privacy.

Anniversary Get-Away

We loved the views. We were able to soak in the peace and quiet of nature. The second level porch was an amazing view and we spent hours there. John was a hospitable host who looked for ways to make our stay more comfortable. His personal boat tour was a highlight. We would love to go back again someday!

A Week in Paradise

Everything about this property was amazing! The hosts were always quick to respond before our arrival and made sure we didn’t need anything during our visit. They have everything you need there and the views are stunning. We felt so relaxed and comfortable during our stay and definitely plan to return soon. We sat on the deck a lot and just enjoyed nature. Definitely a 10/10 experience!

Wonderful!!

We had a wonderful time at the Treetop Cottage. Beautiful views of the bay, along with lovely gardens surrounding the homes helped us relax from our long drive. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was so nice to return to after our adventures during the day! We highly recommend. If we ever get back to Maine, we would definitely stay again!

Peaceful Getaway

The property is amazing! Beauty every where you look. So peaceful and relaxing. John and Ann were wonderful hosts. John helped carry our luggage to the cottage. They left us a bottle of wine and cheese and crackers upon check-in. Very helpful with things to do in the area. Lovely little tree top cottage. Convenient to area attractions. Would stay here again in the future.

Wonderful Stay

John and Anne are wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome. The property is even more incredible in person. You can tell that so much thought went into designing the cottage and main house. Loved having dinner on the deck and spending evenings on the screened-in porch overlooking Cadillac mtn. Great location out of the way, but still accessible to Acadia. Really look forward to returning-thanks for everything, John!
