In a new community, this duplex is one of a kind. The community pool and boat docks are at your fingertips. In addition, the views from the kitchen alone are spectacular on the sound side and the coastal beach side. This 1900 sq. ft. property will be the vacation experience of a dream come true. In Surf City, a well known vacation town on the island, your family can relax or play in the comfort of the Dock to the Beach Home.
Linens are not provided. Outside linens are absolutely not allowed. Sweet Dreams Linens are the preferred vendor for your bed linen needs. Sweet Dreams Linens is located in Surf City and they Deliver!
Included in your stay at this fully furnished home, house rules provided with attached and signed rental contract for clarity.
We invite you to visit all of the surrounding businesses. They are unique as well as charming in Surf City. The town has grown in the past year but still keeps it vacation tone as a real get away. We rent in week blocks ONLY (Saturday to Saturday) during the Hot Season!
We do not take reservations more than 3 months out.

Nice place - Just OK

We selected this house because of its proximity to Surf City. However, the GPS location and features of the location are incorrect. The house stated it is a 5-minute walk from the pier and Surf City, when in fact it is a 5 mile/10 minute drive. Our family wanted this location to allow the kids to be able to walk to the beach in that location and get to activities in and around that area. When asking Tom about it, he was not helpful, or friendly at all. Simply saying it's VRBOs fault and do you want a refund? The house does have nice features, the pool and proximity to the beach are nice. The overall condition of the house is OK. Marks on the walls, and a moldy ceiling in the upstairs bathroom, are not what a house of this cost or age should have. The fridge leaked water and the smoke alarm was not on the ceiling and the battery needed to be replaced. The pool is very nice and well-kept. The hot tub was moldy and dirty. Many of the kitchen cabinet nobs are missing. Overall the house is in a nice location, just not the advertised location of the house. This rental needs a good cleaning, repairs, and refreshing. There are better homes at the same price in Top Sail.

Love Topsail

When I ordered linens from sweet Dreams I didn’t know that the bunk beds were double sized mattresses. So of course I ordered twin sheets- luckily even though they were closed they brought the right size sheets to us. Carpets on stairs are filthy. The elevator is great for unloading and loading groceries and luggage. Kitchen is poorly stocked and most of the non stick cookware is scratched beyond belief. There wasn’t even a baking sheet or can opener. No cheese grater…basics just aren’t there. Upstairs bathroom has mold on the ceiling…this is a health concern. Fridge was leaking and we had to keep paper towels on the floor to catch the water. The pillows are so old and flat. Not what you would expect from a house like this. We traveled with our Seadoos and the docks shown in listing were boat slips but that is not what is there now. Just one long pier that big boats dock against. We had to put seadoos in at ramp and then take them back out each time we rode. Very inconvenient. Aside from the above…we loved our stay. Sunsets were beautiful! Pool is nice. We are outside folks so the short comings in the house didn’t deter our fun. Beautiful week but we won’t stay here again.

Family vacation

What we needed

It served our purpose. Nice floor plan. Kitchen utensils and cookware inadequate. Dinnerware nice. The whole package is just tired. It was pretty clean. Convenient location to the beach. Probably will not stay here again unless there are some updates. We stayed here about 6 weeks.

Perfect place for family with kids and grandparents. Comfortable and every need met. Elevator was a plus for grandma. Owner very helpful. Close to ocean and pool a plus.

Family Trip Topsail

Our family had a great time. The owner called before arrival to explain everything and give us the necessary codes (gate and door). We loved the location of having access to the sound and beach. The ability to use the community pool was great too. The house was easy to use for my daughter, who is in a wheelchair due to the elevator. In addition the house is near a wheelchair accessible beach entrance and Topsail has a service you can call that delivers beach wheelchairs to your location. Our experience overall was wonderful! Thank you.

Nice property. Overall a good experience. Listing should stipulate boat length restrictions to prevent problems. Toilet in master bath has internal leak that needs repairing to prevent water wastage. Overall good experience.

Awesome Mini Vacation

We all had a great time. The house was very accommodating and in a very convenient location. We brought our boat down and having the ramp and docks right out back was super helpful, allowed for smooth sailing 😎 Beach was right across the street, quick access. Thank you!

Best Vacation spot!

This is our 3rd time vacationing at Dolphin Cove. It is perfect for our family. The location to the beach, pool and sound side is ideal! The owners are great to work with! Definitely recommend!

Beautiful home

We had a great week in this beautiful home in a nice community. The only disappointment was the pool was closed for resurfacing. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

Great beach vacation!

Our family had a great beach vacation. The open layout of the family room was great. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck. The beds slept comfortably. Conveniently located to the sound, the beach, and the pool. Tom was great to work with! I would say kitchen could use additional bowls and cooking supplies. Overall, it was a great beach house for our family!

Overall, you can't go wrong at Queens Grant

Positives - Queens Grant is absolutely wonderful place to stay on Topsail. We've stayed in this area twice (in this property once). It's absolutely beautiful. Convenient to the beach and the pool, nice view of the sound. Negatives regarding this stay - There was construction right next door which we were not informed of. The noise ensured everyone was up early. The outdoor shower was not working and the kitchen is very sparsely stocked. While the property is beautiful it is new and it seemed that the owner did not think of details such as - there are no lamps on side tables so bedtime reading was a no-go, there are no TV's in the bedrooms. The owner does provide towels however there were very few. There are no chairs on the first floor balcony and only 4 on the top floor. Our experience at Topsail was great, it always is! We will be back next year. Not necessarily at this same property.

We loved Topsail Beach. The beach and waterways were not very crowded, even on July 4th week!

This is a great house ---beautiful views and easy access to the beach and Inter-Coastal. However, the owner failed to disclose that there was construction of the house next door (literally, a few feet away and right next door to the master bedroom). It went on EVERY DAY---from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm. The noise of saws, hammers, a crane, and other machines ruined what would have been a perfect vacation.

Nice Topsail beach house

Beach house was very clean upon arrival and just as it had been advertised on VRBO. Location was very convenient, just a short walk to the ocean and awesome dock access for kayaking. Also, close to surf city and the south end of the island. The community pool wasn't open in mid may but will be a nice feature in the summer. Kitchen was very spacious but lacked cooking equipment, would recommend bringing your own if you plan to host large family dinners. Overall, our stay here was great and we would certainly book again! I would recommend.

What a great vacation and location with convenient boat dock just steps away from the house. We fished off the pier plus went out fishing on the boat just about everyday. Beach and pool were very close walking distance. Tom was very easy to work with and timely with the contract. Would like to have some TV's in the rooms with Lamps but overall this place is clean and one of our top 5 vacations all-time..... and I'm old!

Great vacation rental

What a beautiful house and location! We had a terrific stay. Our boys, fished off the pier, swam in the pool and played basketball. It was across the street from the beach and located on the waterway. It was a perfect vacation. Tom, the owner was outstanding. He made sure we had everything we needed and worked with us! Would highly recommend.

Perfect Vacation!!!

This home is beautiful! Brand new, really nice, large kitchen, lots of living space & great bedrooms. Waterway & dock right outside your door, great pool & beach access just steps away! We definitely hope to be back soon!! Thanks for a great stay!
