Excellent location

Had a great time in this wonderful cottage within walking distance to the beach and the salt pond. Location could not have been better!

Enjoy your coffee from a rocking chair on the front deck as the sun rises over the ocean, or watch seabirds on the salt pond in the back. A short walk in either direction takes you to pristine beaches where you can swim, fish, snorkle or kayak. The house is clean, cozy and filled with light, and everything you need for a romantic getaway or fun-filled family vacation.

A wonderful stay

This place is absolutely perfect. The location cannot be beat, being able to walk across the street to the beach and also having the relaxing pond in the back, it truly is a piece of heaven. The house has everything you could need, and Margie was great to work with and very helpful. We would definitely come back and stay here again!

Beautiful beach house

We had a wonderful vacation at this lovely beach house! The house itself was clean and comfortable, with beautiful views of both the ocean and the salt pond. Margie was so kind and responsive, and provided lots of great restaurant recommendations. The beach itself is just gorgeous, and just steps away from the house. Absolutely wonderful place to stay— highly recommend!!

A slice of heaven indeed!

I couldn’t dream up a better location! Ocean on one side and a gorgeous salt pond on the other. Great for kayaking. The house was clean and very well appointed with everything we needed. There are great places to dcplore in the area as well. Fabulous!

Location can’t be beat

We had a great stay with our 3 and 6 year old. The pond and beach kept the kids very entertained. The covered porch beneath the house was a home run on our rainy day! Marjorie was wonderful to work with and very helpful.

I stayed with my husband and our 8 year old. We can’t say enough great things about Marjorie and her house. The house was very clean and had all the accommodations necessary. The location was incredible with the ocean in the front and the boardwalk to the salt pond in the back. Marjorie communicated and worked with us above and beyond, she was extremely helpful and kind. We would definitely love to go back every year and make this a family vacation tradition.

Perfection

A perfect summer cottage with easy beach access. This is a perfectly setup cottage with everything you will need for your stay. The host is so kind and helpful and is quick to provide anything you could need. Full endorsement - enjoy !

Perfect Getaway

“My Piece of Heaven” certainly lived up to its name for me and my husband and our preseason getaway! Marjorie’s cottage is so comfortable and accommodating, and the furnishings are tastefully “beachy”. The best part are the front and back water views. You can be inside and still feel like you’re at the beach. The beach itself is stellar, with miles of pure white sand and clean clear water. Truly a piece of heaven!

Thanks for sharing your piece of Heaven!

You're completely surrounded by water! What more could you ask for? The beach is fantastic, not rocky like some parts of RI. The salt pond is actually the size of a lake and is so enjoyable in the evening as the sun sets. We got to meet some of the locals and they are all great people. Marjorie was a great host and we will definitely be coming back!

Great Location...Description not 100% Accurate

Location wonderful. You can't beat the view! Host very lovely and so nice! It's really a 1 bedroom. The 2nd converted bedroom is really behind a sliding vinyl panel. And the 2nd bathroom is outside down the stairs into another apartment. You need to bring all your own linens. And no washer/dryer. All that said the price was very fair. Not a reason not to go. But better to know upfront.

Rebecca, Thank you for choosing my property for you getaway. Regarding the fact that you must bring your own linens, that is a fairly common practice in beach rentals. However, I would have accommodated with linens had you asked. The Washer and dryer are not listed under the amenities, so it’s understood they aren’t there. As far as the second bedroom, the slider doors are industrial grade and on a track, so when closed, it offers ample privacy of a bedroom, which has new adjustable deluxe twin beds, making it adequate and extremely comfortable. Regarding the second bathroom, yes, it’s on the lower level, which provides additional unadvertised living space. The lower level bathroom makes it convenient when coming in off the beach to use the facilities. I thank you for your feedback and hope that if you rent from me again, you take me up on my offer for a free night to make up for the fact your trip was delayed a couple of days due to your daughter’s injury and unfavorable weather the rest of the week. A wonderful place you don't want to leave............

With miles of sandy beach to walk, you just don't want to go home. And with a hurricane 400 miles offshore while I was there, the surf was wicked for 3 days! This cottage gives you a great place to hang out at the beach, behind the house at the salt pond, up on the wrap around deck or under the cottage. The kitchen was nicely redone with granite counters and new appliances and has all the cooking tools you need. This area is also a fisherman's paradise, so don't forget your pole! Thank you Marjie, for sharing your piece of heaven with the rest of us. It is indeed a special place! I hope to return some day.

A geat place to relax and enjoy nature's beauty

"My Peace of Heaven" truly became "Our Peace of Heaven" during our 5-day stay. With large front windows facing the Atlantic and large back windows facing Ninigrit Pond, we always had a beautiful view of water, sand, birds, and clouds. The home was beautifully furnished and decorated, and had all the necessary amenities for relaxing, reading, and cooking. The kitchen was fully stocked so we could enjoy our home-cooked meals. Marjorie was a wonderful owner, and responded quickly to our questions. She directed us to a delightful coffee shop, Dave's Coffee, located on Route 1 heading toward Westerly. This was truly a memorable stay, and we hope we can return.

Perfection

This amazingly perfect piece of heaven is stunning! A mere seconds away from the four-wheel drive only path makes this cottage a sweet and quiet place to rest and relax. A short walk away from the public beach makes it a wonderful area to stay and have access to a crowded scene if you like. However, it is the perfect distance away from that area if you are not seeking that type of environment. It has the best of all worlds. I highly recommend this rental and am hard to flatter. Great for a single couple, or a couple with children. I can't wait to go back to a piece of heaven, listen to the waves crash and rest in peace!

Cute little cottage by the sea!

Such a cute little cottage! Perfect for a couple or a couple with 2 smaller children. The ocean is across the street and the salt pond out behind the cottage. Very comfortable and the owner is very nice and accommodating. Many new features and a perfect place for a family vacation by the sea!

Perfect vacation

I can't say enough about this beautiful and peaceful cottage in perfect quit location with wonderful views of ocean and salt pond. First of all thank you to Margie for the comfort she provides to her quests with constant updates and decoration of her house, and she is great host and very accommodating one. This is my second time staying there and I wish I can live there forever. It was memorable stay, the weather was great. Location is perfect, so private in quit neighborhood setting right on water. Enjoyed my walks on beach, seeing sunrise and sunset, watching wildlife, listening to the birds. Thank you Margie! I will be back!

My piece of heaven

We just returned home from our stay and I can't begin to say how much we enjoyed our week. The cottage was so nice and we could not have picked a better location. You had the ocean just across the street which we enjoyed watching from the deck and in the back was the salt pond which was beautiful also. We came to Rhode Island for our daughters wedding and we had the first part of the week just to ourselves and it was just so peaceful. We didn't feel the need to go anywhere else-you could walk the beach, relax on the wrap around deck or sit in the back by the salt pond. It's easy to see why Marjorie calls this her piece of heaven. If we ever get the chance to come back to Rhode Island we would love to stay here again.

Greatest Little House

We,re home now and really wish we were still there, enjoying the peace and solitude, beautiful views, great ocean/beach and especially the adorable little house with all the open space and windows/sliding doors galore. Even being inside, you feel like you're out. This was a great place to stay for some relaxation and a little alone time. The week went to fast but my husband and I enjoyed it so much. Oh Well! Best Little House

Home now and wishing we were still there, enjoying the solitude, beautiful views, great ocean and beach and especially the adorable little house with all the open space and windows galore. Even being inside the house, one would think they were outside...great little place to be. We just enjoyed it so much The week went way to fast, but I guess there's always next year. My tranquility vacation

This place is immaculate and very nicely decorated, provides with everything what you need, comfortable, so sunny and airy, real gem for the vacation and located on God's created spot, you cannot, wish for better location, ocean views from any part of the house and also salt pond views from any part of the house. You hear ocean all day and night, bird singing starts with the first light in the morning and plenty of animals to see from wrapped around the house deck, you see turkeys, bunnies, red foxes, then the beach and pond provides you with their beauty and peace. Who can wish for better place, place where you can relax from everyday stress and find peace and relaxation? Margie is great host, very friendly and accommodating with all your needs for great peaceful vacation. That was my best vacation in long time. Thank you Margie!

Yvonna, Isn't the wildlife there just terrific? I was there last weekend and a beautiful male cardinal was on the railing of the deck trying to get cracker crumbs on the table. I must have spent 1/2 hour just watching him. Yes, it is so peaceful and gorgeous there; surrounded by nature. You can see how it got it's name, MY PEACE OF HEAVEN!
