Deer Ridge Lodge is a magnificent luxury accommodation perfect for the family looking for a memorable visit to Cooperstown. Privacy with 2.6 acres of land, 218 feet of waterfront. Eleven rooms featuring three bedrooms and a sitting room with futon that can be a fourth. Large sectional couch.

Fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and center island. Dishwasher, stove top, oven, microwave, and refrigerator.

Three full bathrooms, laundry facilities, breakfast room and dining area with lake views, sitting room with TV and futon couch, foyer with desk for the family member that needs to work, and a great room with a 60" TV and cathedral ceiling along with a large brand new sectional couch. Fireplace. WiFi and Cable TV. Printer with paper. A/C in bedrooms and great room, and ceiling fans in every room.

3 Kayaks and a Canoe available for your use (life jackets provided) along with a barbecue grill and double deck overlooking Otsego Lake. Fire pit. Waterfront and fishing access across the street. Dock for fishing. Plenty of parking, for five or more cars.

3 1/2 miles to the Baseball Hall of Fame. One to two miles to the Farmer's Museum, The Fenimore Cooper Museum, and the Otsega Golf Course. 3 Mile Point Park just around the corner. Short drive to Glimmerglass State Park and Dreams Park.

Great hilltop view. Lakefront breeze. Large backyard and privacy. Deer and other wildlife frequently visit the property.

Well-appointed large house with a beautiful view of Lake Otsego Lake. We enjoyed the private waterfront (dock, lake and use of kayaks). This immaculate home was comfortable and peaceful. Grounds are wooded and lovely. Close to town, about 3.5 miles. Area is very quiet. Owner was responsive and accommodating. Could not have asked for more!

Our 2nd time staying at Deer Ridge and love it. The addition to the house gives so much more room than we needed. Loved the sun porches. Will definitely will book again on our time in Cooperstown.

A little bit about the Deer Ridge Lodge

We loved the roominess of the property - lots of space to spread out. The kitchen was very accomodating, as were the decks. The view of the lake was spectacular.

Another Great Stay

We've now stayed at this location for a few years. Great location & easy lake access. House is large, comfortable, & clean. The only downside this year was the presence of ants in the kitchen areas. This is being addressed by the owner thru the use of a pest control service.

Beautiful Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deer ridge. The house and yard was very private and cozy. We were close enough to town to but far enough away to enjoy the quiet & relaxing view. We did have a visit from some deer one morning. We would definitely book this house again next time we visit Cooperstown.

Another Great Stay

This was our family's 3rd year in a row staying at the house. Need I say more?? Great clean, roomy, well-stocked house, beautiful views of the lake, nice new deck & dock, and the use of kayaks & canoes. The owner quickly replied to any questions we had. We'll be back.

Excellent place to stay

This was our 2nd time staying at the house (we had previously stayed August 2020). Once again, the house was very clean, and very well stocked with everything needed. The newly added deck, and new spacious dock, really made the place especially enjoyable. I'm sure we'll be looking to rent again next year!

Conveniently Located

The house was clean and well stocked. Plenty of room for two small families to enjoy a week at the lake. Location was convenient for traveling to Glimmerglass State Park and Cooperstown. Lots of fun things to do and see but enjoying time on the lake was our favorite.

Just what the dr ordered

The booking, communication, and access process was easy, direct, and efficient. The house had great upgrades to the outdoor space that we were not aware of. Our weather was rainy and cool so we visited the town and utilized the inside of the house. Our stay was great and we would consider returning again.

Great house with beautiful views of the lake

The house was extremely well-equipped with everything you could want or need, all of which was very well-organized.Peter was a pleasure to work with. The views of the lake were stunning and the location is great,just a few miles out of Cooperstown which was very easy to get to. It's a great place to stay.

Excellent location & view

This was our first trip to Otsego Lake & the Cooperstown area. This house was very well stocked with everything needed, & then some. As one other reviewer noted, all you need to bring are your clothes & food. Also, the house was very, very clean. The view of the lake from the breakfast & dining room areas was wonderful. The two kayaks & one canoe were a great bonus. The area down by the water, however, needs to be upgraded. There is little room to walk, and a lot of rusty metal. This was understood to be the case before we booked, since the owner was quite thorough in his description of the property. Any questions we had were quickly answered. We would definitely book this property again in the future.

Great Getaway

As a first time Vrbo renter, I wasn’t sure how this would go but the information on this property was very accurate. The owner was super responsive and helpful, a pleasure to work with. This house is fully stocked so you only need to pack your clothes and bring some food and you are good to go. Big grill was great. Very close to town and lots to do in the area off the lake. Baseball Hall of Fame, Glimmer Glass State Park, wineries, breweries, hiking, shopping and the list goes on. Everyone enjoyed the 2 kayaks and canoe at the house (we appreciated the many size life vests provided at the house) and large yard where we were able to set up our own yard games. The lake is beautiful and you can see it from all the front rooms of the house and the deck. The home was very clean and well kept with comfy beds, sofas, etc. I would warn those with small children that this might not be the property for them as there are fairly steep stairs to the lakefront and you do have to cross the road. However, our young teens and adults had no issues with this. This was a very last minute trip and I have to say a wonderful experience. We will definitely be looking to return to this house again. As someone who is used to a summer beach vacation, this was much more relaxing and the prefect Covid safe choice. I would recommend this property to my friends and you.

Beautiful Lake view

There is a gorgeous panoramic view of Otsego Lake from the breakfast room. Even with no central air (there are window units in the bedrooms upstairs), we were comfortable on the main floor with lake breezes and ceiling fans even on a 90 degree day. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed exploring the streets of quaint downtown Cooperstown, which is a very short drive away.

Cooperstown Baseball Trip

Great property and location. This was our second trip to Cooperstown for the 12-yr. old baseball tournament. Stayed along Lake Otsego both times, but this house was superior to first visit. House was very clean and comfortable. Spacious downstairs with remodeled kitchen and multiple sitting areas and two different tv viewing areas. One of the bathrooms is downstairs (all three bedrooms upstairs), but both are spacious and comfortable. View of lake out front and the wooded hillside out back were perfect for mid-summer upstate NY. Enjoyed kayaks and canoe every day. Five minutes from Cooperstown and 15 minutes from dreams park. In summary, we enjoyed everything about our stay and would not hesitate to book again. Thanks, to Peter and Judy.

Great Location, 10 mins from C-Town

This is a great location, right on Lake Ostego, just 10 minutes from downtown Cooperstown. We stayed because our son was playing at Dreams Park, which took us about 15-20 minutes to get to from the house. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well-equipped kitchen and eating in the sun room. Also enjoyed the large den and TV area. This is an older home, so it's a bit chopped up and the bedrooms are small, which was fine with us. We wish there had been another bathroom or even a master suite. Also, the lakefront area was a little hard to walk around. Very rocky and pieces of rusty metal sticking out. Just be careful down there. It is a beautiful view and we enjoyed fishing there and using the kayaks.

A great stay near Otsego Lake

We had a wonderful stay here celebrating our parents' birthdays. The house is very large, clean, and well-equipped. It's quiet, with a great view of the lake, and a quick drive into town. The driveway/deck was quite a bit buggy (mosquitoes), but that may just have been because of the time of year and/or recent weather.

A charming, spacious & comfortable house

The house is as advertised. The kitchen is new and well-equipped; the dining areas and the deck are spacious with good views of the lake; the bathrooms are fine, although one is on the first floor while all of the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairway is very steep; the beds are comfortable. Be careful coming up the driveway from Lake Road: it's steep and the turn into it from the north is very sharp. Bring bottled water for coffee & drinking: the well water is quite sulphur-laden, very typical for this area (I lived around here for years). Overall a great place to spend a vacation!

Wonderful stay at Deer Ridge!

Wonderful baseball week. Just wish we had more time at the house. Newly remodeled kitchen and dining area were beautiful with great views of lake. House was very clean and spacious, and included everything you need for week at lake. Stunning views from deck and short walk to waterfront. Kids loved fishing and using kayaks and canoe. Contacted owner a few times with questions. He was very friendly and accommodating- even shipped items we left behind for us. Would love to go back!!
