Everything was great. Would rent again. Only issue for us were dining room chairs. They need to be replaced.

We enjoyed staying at Oceans Edge. It was perfect for our group.

The house was exactly as presented in the pictures and description, which is a good thing! Location in relation to the ocean and also to bridge access was excellent. The house was clean and well kept. The gate on the walkway to the beach was an excellent idea as we had a two year old with us and he could play on the deck and walkway, but have visible boundaries. We enjoyed our time there very much and would definitely look into its availability if we return to Holden Beach.

Great location with easy beach access. Dining room chairs and furniture are in rough shape especially that feeling in your back from the "kiNg" mattress. upgrade long overdue. Remember to bring some windex for that million dollar view!

This was second year in a row at this house. Kitchen could use update on pots and pans but not a big deal. Great property for straight out to beach- less distance to drag beach gear! Love the porch!

Nice house but...

House was very nice and convenient. However, four of the five beds were terrible. Springs into body bad. Even the six and nine year old complained.

We arrived late, just in time to catch the sunset on the beach. We ran inside to get a bite to eat. No paper towels. I also noticed no toilet paper. Thank the Lord I brought some from home! I went to take a shower. There were no towels anywhere in any room or closet. Because it was after hours,I sent two emails to the property manager to let them know. I decided to skip the shower and go straight to bed. There were no sheets or pillow cases anywhere in the house. That was when I panicked enough to call the emergency number. They the dark told us to go to the dark carport and find a brown box that was hard to see and had a padlock on it. Fortunately, the padlock was not locked. We put the sheets with holes on our bed. The place was not very clean. There were burs in the rug that ripped my bare feet up. The place was poorly maintained with chairs which had lost their bottoms, a dryer and oven that were rusty, parts of the ceiling had fallen off. The tv remote didn't even have a remote control that could change the volume. I was hoping that the emails I sent would result in a roll of paper towels and some toilet paper being delivered. It did not. Nobody said, "I'm sorry" or tried to make things right. We spent a lot of money on this place and I was disappointed that nobody listened or cared enough to respond to me. I felt ignored and disrespected.

Beautiful Views. Great location.

The house is in a great location. Very short ocean front walk to sand and water. Very close to the bridge coming onto the island. Views are fantastic from 3 bedrooms and 2 upper and lower level decks. Few consā€¦ house is showing its age and abuse from the oceanfront weather conditions and summer season renters (Like Water damage inside, damaged interior, decorations, overall cleanliness). Can definitely use some updating and routine maintenance. Overall had a great time, didnā€™t stop us from enjoying the beach. If youā€™re looking for a nice updated home tho, may look elsewhere.

Great location. Awesome views. House wasnā€™t clean on check in. No early or late checks in allowed. You have to bring your own towels, kitchen, bath and beach. Minimal beach equipment, bring your own. Linens provided, but no extra pillowcases for the extra pillows. Kitchen shelves and drawers were dirty and all knives were dangerously dull. Upstairs AC not working. Weather was great. Love Holden šŸ– beach!

Overall we enjoyed our stay, the location was great! However, would like to see a few things improved. The grill was in not in great shape and since we had planned to do some grilling, we actually ended up buying a small grill. Kitchen supplies were minimum, we have rented a lot of beach houses over the years and enjoyed this location, but we had to buy just about everything if we wanted to cook. Some of the pots and pans need to be replaced. The only other issue we had was the cleaning maintenance. In the master bathroom there was a large mildew stain in the ceiling above the tub, we had to buy some cleaning supplies. Master bathroom could also use some paint. Overall it is a nice house and just a little maintenance would bring it to the next level.

Too threatening and not welcoming

We just had a week at Holden Beach. Your communications with us were very threatening with potential fines for this and that and the threat of cameras watching you posted on the door and constant reminders about warnings. We all worked hard to keep the house as clean and straight as possible. With the water turned off to the outdoor shower and the hose from the beach, we had to set up a foot bucket to try to keep as much sand out of the house as possible. If there is anyway to leave some water available outside that would help a lot. Access to the vacuum and broom and dust pan were imperative. A workman came unannounced to the house to replace the florescent bulbs in the kitchen. He did not wear a mask and he disposed of the dead bulbs in the neighbors trashcan. With the huge storm on Sunday night, they were broken and strewn across both yards making it very dangerous as we packed up to leave.

Christmas at the Beach

The house was lovely- the view was fabulous! It was nice to enjoy the beach without the crowds. The mattresses were a bit a hard for me but my husband slept very well.

Porch looking over the beach and ocean

We really enjoyed the porches in the evening looking over the beach and ocean. I also enjoyed the ease of setting up chairs each day by just grabbing them off the deck area rather than dragging them all the way up to the house. I never needed to contact property manager. A tip for those staying upstairs - there is a separate temp control upstairs hidden behind the vase. We were quite hot a couple days until we figured it out.

Perfect escape, great property, read fine print

This property is well appointed and comfortable overall, the outdoor space is perfect, and you canā€™t get closer to the beach, ocean and amazing views! We also loved the big round dining table to gather at every night. Downsides: my son said (for the first time in his life) that his bed wasnā€™t comfortable, and we were stressed with the long list of possible fines and violations associated with the place, as well as having to comb the fine print to see that no toilet paper (or anything else like dish soap) would be provided - a first for us!

We had a great week at Oceans Edge! The ocean sounds were relaxing and loved being able to see it from wherever we were in the house. The covered porches and the deck made it so easy to enjoy every minute of our stay! Ample space and large kitchen!
