Wonderful views and location

This house was wonderful, with great views and a nice location. We were thrilled with all the house had to offer. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the wifi never worked, even though the rental agency did their best to fix it! The rental agency is great!! Also the pots and pans need updating and there are not working tvs in the bedrooms. However, overall the house and our stay was wonderful. We would stay again!! Great get away and kept the kids outside!!

I loved the location. Plenty of room and beautiful views. House was clean and equipped with all essential needs. We enjoyed the time we had with our son and his future wife.

Excellent location with an overbearing contract through Proactive Vacations

I'll start by saying the location is perfect. Easy access to the expansive sandy beach, and beautiful views from the decks. My wife and I rented this for ourselves and did not make full use of the property, but the rental is great for four groups of people who want their own private bedroom and bathroom suites. The kitchen is well appointed, and the furniture is comfortable throughout. The large windows on the main floor are perfect to enjoy the ocean view when sitting inside. Now for the negative aspects: - We have rented waterfront homes annually for 30 years, and we have never felt more unwelcome to a home than we did with this rental, due to contract provisions. All homes specify check-in and check-out times ... no problem, and we always abide by them. But this one states that early arrival or late checkout will be considered trespassing. Heavy handed and unnecessary. They also nickel and dime you for things like bedding, leaving a clean dish in the dishwasher or a piece of trash in a wastebasket. There is a charge for everything. They made us so uneasy that we took pictures in all rooms before unpacking in case we needed to dispute a charge. This beach has an abundance of rental homes, so next time we will try Holden Beach Vacations or Hobbs Realty to see if they are more hospitable than Proactive Vacations. - We also were surprised by some items that were not provided, bathroom and kitchen towels being our biggest concern. We drove to NC, but this would be more challenging after flying into town. The type of rentals we book typically provide those. - The windows facing the ocean on the upper floor will not stay open. Either they are broken, or the owner removed the counterweights that hold them open. Ocean-front properties always benefit from open windows for the breeze and sounds of the surf. It also is dangerous as we thought a window was staying open only to slam shut violently nearly catching a finger. The windows facing the street did not have this problem.

Lots of space for large group to vacation together. Our families enjoyed the space and the area was a favorite destination.

Beautiful Family Home in Holden

Our family has vacationed in Holden Beach for the last decade and we had a wonderful time this year! The house was perfect for us with four teens, the kids loved having their own living room area upstairs! It was also nice to try a few new restaurants along with our old favorites this year! Already looking forward to next year!

Great size, location and view!

Clean and spacious. Only tiny downsides: instructions said we would get two house keys but we only got one; many of the dishes were greasy and needed to be re-washed before we could use them. Otherwise, great!

Roomy and Clean

We had 8 women staying in this house. It was very roomy and clean. The beds were very comfortable and we really liked the way the linens were all laid out on the kitchen table and labeled for us. Some of the decking really needs to be replaced (I got a splinter in my foot) Also the kitchen stove does not work properly and should be replaced. We also felt that there should be starter toilet paper and a few other starter items supplied for us . We would stay there again .

Wonderful stay at the Tiger Den House

Beautiful and comfortable beach house with a well stocked kitchen and wonderful back porch with comfortable rockers! Close enough to the sand and water that I could enjoy my grandkids playing from the shade of the porch! They had a great time! I love Holden Beach!

Perfect Vacation Home!

We are from SC - LOVED this house! Will definitely stay here again. Great views and ocean front were the best, we had the beach area to ourselves. Plenty of room for the whole family! Rented bikes one day, kayaks another day, enjoyed the beach the other days. Fully equipped kitchen, cooked meals at the house. Best part is every bedroom has its own bathroom! Overall, one of the best vacation homes I've been to!
