All seasons house on the Golden Circle.

Great location in a quiet surroundings in small village. Our summerhouse is a good place to relax after a good drive to nearest travel spots of the golden circle. The house takes a good care of you and make you feel as home, with a great patio for BBQ or relax in the hot tube.

The house is in a very quiet and relaxing area. In the center of the Golden Circle you are only 10 minutes to Geysir, 15 minutes to Gullfoss an 20 minutes to Thingvellir.
The house is around 100 km from Reykjavik city center and 135 km from Keflavik International airport.

I don't live in or near the house but if guest need to reach me they can call or text me

It was a great stay. The home was as advertised and everything was very nice and well kept. Anna was responsive to all of my communications in a timely manner and a gracious host. The location was great for taking my family to see all the different sites in the golden circle.

Wonderful stay

Great, roomy, out of city but prime Golden Circle cabin. Very clean. Kitchen very well equipped. Would definitely stay again. Washer and dryer were helpful for us.

Amazing location

Wonderful accommodations. Fully stocked kitchen which was super helpful. Easy check-in and check out process. We absolutely loved it. Our girls loved the trampoline! Perfect location for touring Golden Circle and Landmannalaugar

The house was very clean and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of seating, comfy beds, nice towels. We explored the whole south of Iceland from Reykjavik to Vik from this house. The hot pot was so nice to sit in at the end of a long day.Great communication with the host.

Great location for all the Golden Circle sights. The back deck faces north and so we had a great view of the northern lights. Quiet, everything you could need in the kitchen and comfortable beds. Check in was a little difficult as we had to walk to the house to get the gate remote and walk back to open it, as we couldn't connect with the owner, but check out, she answered and opened the gate for us. Would recommend this rental to friends.

nice house at a good location

We stayed at this house while we explored the southern area of Iceland. The log cabin style house is very nice & well equipped and was a good quiet location. It was also a good place to relax & enjoy on days we didn't go exploring & site seeing.

Perfekt House in the Golden Cirkle

We so enjoyed the stay in the House, it was well equiped, good beds, and a very helpful and available owner (on the phone😊). The kitchen was perfect for making our own food It was very quite and had a nice view.

Great Home in Lovely Neighborhood

We stayed 6 nights in this home while touring the many sights of South Iceland. The little gated neighborhood is quite pretty. Our group found the beds very comfortable, and with the doors shut, the bedrooms were very quiet. The kitchen and bathroom were spacious - the shower was small but worked very well. All in all, a wonderful place in a great location.

We loved our stay at this home! We were two adults, one fifteen-year-old, and one twelve-year-old and had plenty of space. The kids loved the loft beds with the cozy reading lamps. There is a nice big living room area with a comfortable sectional couch. The kitchen is well-supplied with everything you could need. The kids absolutely loved the in-ground trampoline in the backyard. The views from the backyard are beautiful, and you can even see and hear a babbling brook in the distance. There is a large excellent laundry room accessed from the back porch. The location is exceptionally close to Bruarfoss, Gulfoss, Geysir, the tomato restaurant, and more. Thingvellir National Park is an easy drive. About 60 miles from Reykjavik. We would stay here again if we ever have the opportunity to return to Iceland!

Very nice and quiet house

The house is quietly located in the midst of an enchanting landscape and is well equipped in every respect. The house is spacious, clean and stylishly furnished. It is an ideal base for exploring the attractions of South West Iceland. At the same time a place to relax. We enjoyed the house for 14 days and felt very comfortable.

Well equipped house

The house was very well equipped, especially kitchen which was perfect. House was also very clean and nicely arranged. The location is also very peaceful and close to nice places to visit. We spent a very time time there. Thank you very much again Anna for hosting us! :)

This beautiful home in the heart of the Golden Circle was the perfect place to call home for a week.

Super comforatable 3 bedrooms home, hot tub on the deck overlooking a lovely private landscape. All the comforts of home with new appliances and kitchen items for cooking and eating. Easy driving to waterfalls, geysers, a crater, Reykjavick, and the coast. Anna the owner was always available to answers questions. Would good back there should I ever have a chance. Highly recommend making this place your retreat space while exploring the Golden Circle.

Lovely home and very private

House is very nice and comfortable and well -stocked. Very quiet neighborhood and beautiful scenery! Only downside was we had to fill the hot tub which took a long time and we were not able to reach the owner in the morning when we left to have her open the gate so one of us had to use the remote at the house and then walk out to the road which was about 1/2 mile. Luckily it was not raining! Location was very nice for seeing the sights along the Golden Circle.

Well-equipped cabin in pretty location

Lovely spacious cabin equipped with everything and more needed for our week's stay including a large, wild garden with swings and trampoline. Beautiful secluded location with views over stream and hillside from the hot tub! Nearest village slightly too far to walk with children but a very short drive. We had to contact the host a couple of times but they responded and quickly and answered questions with no problems. We had a great week and would definitely return to this property! On final point: should anyone be lucky enough to visit in a heatwave as we did, be aware that the duvets are very thick ;-)

Great for families

We stayed three nights in this comfy cottage and had a wonderful stay! Our two kids particularly loved the new in-ground trampoline out back. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty and the beds were very comfortable. Great location for accessing many sights in the Golden Circle. We never used the hot tub since we visited the local hot springs instead. Check in was a little difficult because there was spotty cell coverage near the gate and I couldn't get my calls to connect - ended up jogging down the road under the gate to get the house key and gate access key fob and jogging back.

Lovely house at perfect location

This is an absolutely wonderful cottage at an virtually perfect location. It is placed in the midst of the gullni hringurinn (golden circle). The immediate surroundings make you forget you have neighbours, as all you can see from the garden is lush nature - green hills, flowering bushes, a small creek. The house itself contains everything you might need for your stay - and even a lot more. The kitchen is more than well equipped. The living area is so comfortable you will be tempted to stay there, although you rather should not, as there are lots of top sights to be discovered - not only the well-known "golden circle", but also gems like Gjain or Sigöldugljúfur (only with 4wd). The blinds are among the best we found in Iceland (although still not perfect for very sensitive persons). Last, but vitally important, Anna has been an amiable host, providing more than the necessary information on all possible channels. Highly recommended, one of the best holiday homes I've stayed in.

Absolutely Perfect cabin in the Golden Circle

We just left Iceland (sadly!) after a wonderful stay. First, I have to say that Iceland itself exceeded my high expectations as a country. This was my first time to visit, and it was even more lovely- both the geographical features and the people- than I anticipated. And I am so grateful we chose this home on the Golden Circle as our base of operations. It is located within an easy drive of so many desirable stops. We did all of the highlights from the Golden Circle in a day, we did Reykjavík and The Blue Lagoon in another day, and we did Vik (black sand beaches and puffins!!!) and a hike to a glacier in another day. All were in easy driving distance. Had we been there longer, we could have reached many other destinations in day trips. And the cabin itself was just wonderful. We arrived to the cabin at 2:30AM, and our host was so kind to wake up to our call right away and open the gate to the street the cabin is on. The cabin feels safe being gated in, and it is also very private. My children loved the bunk beds! It is a VERY well-stocked cabin. We are Americans and loved the full sized coffee maker, but there is also a Nescafé machine. And nearby is a GREAT restaurant, Mika’s. Recommend!!! The water pressure and hot water is incredible. The washer and dryer worked great. It was just the most comfortable cabin. My kids already said if we are lucky enough to visit Iceland again they would love to stay in the same cabin! I highly recommend this lovely home.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Ferienhaus in einer ruhigen Siedlung. Im Haus haben wir nichts vermisst. Wir waren mit 5 Personen hier und der Platz war vollkommen ausreichend. Der Blick vom Haus über die Natur ist nach einem anstrengendem Tag ein schöner Abschluss.

Entspannte Tage im Golden Circle

Dieses Haus ist absolut empfehlenswert. Es liegt zentral im Golden Circle und eignet sich für optimal für Ausflüge. Sogar unseren Ausflug nach Landmannalaugar konnten wir gut bewältigen. Das Haus ist super eingerichtet. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig; die Terrasse, der Hot Tub und der großzügige Wohnzimmerbereich eignen sich gut zum Entspannen. Die Betten sind bequem. Anna war immer erreichbar und ist sehr freundlich.

Kurzweiliger und schöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Tatsächlich fanden wir es gemütlicher, als es auf den Fotos wirkt. Das Haus hat eine angenehme Atmosphäre, auch wenn die ein oder andere Tür quietscht ;). Eine angenehme Überraschung waren die Babybadewanne und der Hochstuhl, die nicht im Inserat standen. Beides war für unseren Kleinen (11 Monate) gerade richtig und wurde ausgiebig genutzt. Die Terrasse konnten wir (was wir im September nicht unbedingt erwartet hatten) voll nutzen und haben sie auch sehr genossen. Das Küchenequipment haben wir gut zum Kochen genutzt; wir haben nichts vermisst.
