Family

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the farm house. Everything we may have needed was provided from bedding, bathroom necessities, kitchen necessities, and entertainment. We saw deer grazing in the mornings and resting in the evenings in the big yard. The kids enjoyed playing outside with so much room to run. The house is very charming with old fixtures on some of the doors. The owner was very pleasant and responsive. Thank you for allowing us to stay at the farm house.

Fantastic Location, Quiet and Private

Great neighborhood, quiet, peaceful, and private. Best location with restaurants, close to downtown and lots of activities. Very comfortable house and clean. Lots of wildlife around. Look forward to another visit, 7 days was not enough.

Stayed for the Solar eclipse

The place was awesome. The property's location to the lake and size is perfect for a large group to enjoy. The house had everything we needed!! Would stay there again!

This home was magical for us, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Of course it helped we won the tournament and hardware. We like to cook and found everything we needed for meal prep, kitchen was well stocked kitchen. Quick walk to the cute town of Lakewood. Hope to be back to visit again soon!

Great house in a great location

Group of 4 family members in town for visiting family, a HS reunion and a memorial service. We loved the location and the ease with which we moved throughout the house. Our favorite part about the home was the back porch!

Great large home for family group. Easy to get away to a quiet spot here while others watch TV etc.

Great place to get together with family

We spent the week visiting with family and friends. The house was great- had plenty of space, beds, linens, and kitchenware. Most importantly A/C and a washer/dryer. There was also plenty of room outside to enjoy- barbecue and play games. The house was also centrally located for us. We were able to visit with family and also tour local sites- Chautauqua Institute and Niagara Falls. Everyone enjoyed themselves!

Great house for a weekend getaway

This property was exactly what we wanted for our long weekend getaway. There were 6 of us in our party: 2 children, Mom, Dad and grandparents. We were comfortable in the house with plenty of space and all required amenities. The location was great as we were able to walk to the lakefront and a couple of us even walked to Southern Tier Brewery one evening. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area; we were blessed with great weather and all the fall colours were stunning.

Overall good property!

We really liked staying at the farmhouse! The house was clean and well stocked with towels, soap, dishes, etc. the house was spacious and comfortable. We had three cars - there was plenty of room to park by and behind the house. Our only (minor) item to note was the house is on the Main Street and you could hear the street noise. It was not a big issue. However, the house was very convenient and just a few miles from Southern Tier brewery and a 20 min drive to Bemus Point. We would book this property again when we come back to this area.

Charming farmhouse

This farmhouse was the perfect getaway for us while we were attending a family reunion. It was spotless and so roomy for us. It's vicinity to the stores in Lakewood was an extra plus!. The beds were comfortable and having a washer and dryer was great! We would not hesitate to come back to this wonderful house!

Comfortable, spacious, well kept

The property was perfect for us: two parents, a child, two grandparents. The common areas were very comfortable for meals, talking, and having a few extra meal guests. Nice deck space for after dinner conversation. Lovely wooded area; saw two adult deer and two fawns on our first evening. We enjoyed very much the short walk to the lake. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. All in all it worked very well for us. Thank you!

Wonderful home!

We enjoyed our time in this spacious home that is close to the lake and Chautauqua Institution. The house was super clean and comfortable. We appreciated the air conditioning as it was a hot week. We also loved sitting on the porch at night looking up at the stars. We'll definitely be back!

Great Family Retreat

Our party of 5 (4 adults and 1 toddler) had a wonderful stay. We found the house and property to be just as pictured and described. We settled in easily and felt very much at home. Towels, extra blankets and pillows, etc. were plentiful and easy to find and the kitchen was easy to navigate. The queen bed and the full bed were both very comfortable. Water pressure and temperature were great. There was a good assortment of books, games, DVDs, and even some outdoor sports equipment that kept all of us happy and busy when we were "home." Overall, the house was very comfortable and well-suited to our needs! The only word of caution I would offer is that the house is located on a main road with steady traffic, and all 3 of the bedrooms face the road, as does the living room with the pull-out sofa. I mention this only because it took our toddler a few nights to adjust to the noise from the road; next time we visit, I will bring a sound machine for him. The family room, which is on the back of the house, was very quiet. The owners were great to work with and responded promptly to all of my email inquiries about the house, the local area, etc. as our trip approached. As we were visiting in July, I inquired as to the effectiveness of the window air conditioner to keep the bedrooms cool at night; it was more than sufficient. I highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the Chautauqua Lake area. We particularly enjoyed Panama Rocks, Chautauqua Institute, and the Lucille Ball museum. It was also great to be able to walk through the charming "village" area to the Lake!

RELAXING AND COMPLETE

OUR FAMILY HAD AN EXTREMELY ENJOYABLE VACATION AT THIS PROPERTY. EXCELLENTLY MAINTAINED AND CLEAN, AND IT LOOKED JUST LIKE THE PICTURES. THE OWNER WAS MOST ACCOMMODATING AND ON TOP OF EVERYTHING. DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND FOR A FINE FAMILY RETREAT.
