The Space
Ideal private village getaway for weekend or season. Newly furnished, cozy, and inspired modern interior filled with artwork. Airy for summers and intimate for other seasons. Flow-through layout, elegant hardwood flooring connects all the living spaces.

Kitchen:
Panoramic view of spacious, fully landscaped flower garden and backyard. Dining area with reclaimed wood table -- seating for small and larger gatherings. Full kitchen with dishwasher, all appliances and wares.

Bedrooms:
2 private bedrooms each w/ view and sliding door accessing pool and patio. A queen size bed in master bedroom and full size in second bedroom. Large den/convertible bedroom furnished with full size sofa bed, library, and flatscreen TV.

Living Room:
Open gathering space. Gas brick fireplace warms the whole living space, cozy during cooler months.

Other amenities:
Driveway, WiFi, TV, Washer/Dryer, Outdoor Shower, Bikes, BBQ Grill, Apple TV. Backyard garden fully fenced for privacy. ADT security. Ceiling fans in almost every room.

Utilities:
Included for short-term guests
Long term guests (one month+): Renters are responsible for utilities.

Guest / Beach Access:
Enjoy the backyard and the swimming pool (private and not shared with other houses), which are enclosed with a fence and landscaped for your privacy and safety.

Also short drive to Great South Bay at Mother's beach and ferries to Fire island (Pines, Cherry Grove, Bayshore).

Access to Smith Point beach which is dog and family friendly, close by car.

Access to the private 7 minute ferry that takes only Bellport residents to the pristine private beach at Ho Hum beach (for minimum 1 month renters, via an access fee + ticket during summer season).

We are available by phone, email, and text if you need us for any reason.

The Neighborhood:
Bellport Village is nestled on Long Island's Great South Bay. Friendly, safe and quiet village life. Perfect for relaxing vacation or weekend beach retreat. Restaurants, ice cream stand, galleries, summer theater, outdoor concerts at the dock, sailing, swimming, ferry to ocean beach, and more.

Getting around:
Bellport's proximity to New York City (1 hr by car; 2 hrs by LIRR train) makes it convenient to the city. The village downtown is easily walkable and bike friendly.

Patchogue is very close and has very frequent train service. Taxis from Patchogue to the house are $11.

The house is completely and newly furnished, decorated, and renovated.

Great stay. Super convenient location for the playhouse to see the Holiday Icre Show. Everything worked at the house and communications with Howard were excellent.Very pretty spot in the snow :)

Amazing end of summer

Howie's place was an amazing home for our two-week staycation. The house is immaculate, well-stocked and thoughtfully supplied. Heated salt water pool was perfect! Howie was a great host, super responsive and accommodating. Would recommend 10/10 and would love to come stay here again!

Amazing oasis nestled in Bellport

Howie is the best host! His home is beautiful and super clean. We had an exceptional experience from check in to check out! Linens, cleaning supplies, etc were all supplied. The salt water pool was luxurious and a wonderful way to add to our relaxation and downtime from the lax tournament. The home is located less than 5 minutes from town with shops and restaurants. We hope to come visit again next year!

Nice!!!A couple of things to keep in mind: the home has one central HVAC unit, so the bedrooms can get a bit warm at night—something to plan for during hotter months. Also, while the listing notes three bedrooms, the third is more of a shared space with a sofa bed, which may matter if you're looking for complete privacy.That said, the location was fantastic, the home is full of charm, and we really enjoyed our stay. Our host was incredibly responsive, and the house was stocked with everything we needed—plates, flatware, cookware—you name it. A really comfortable and well-equipped place.Thanks again!

Perfect location and set-up

We loved this house. It was our third time in Bellport and this was our favorite house. It's stylish, comfortable, and really well-laid out. The heated pool was perfect. We had privacy but also perfect proximity to town. Wonderful visit!

Wonderful stay at the house!

We really enjoyed our stay at the house over Memorial Day weekend. House is better that advertised and well stocked with supplies - we had everything we needed and more! Super clean and tastefully decorated with very private and relaxing yard. 10 min walk or 5 min bike ride to the lovely village of bellport. Super host!

Nice getaway from the city

We stayed in Howard's home at a point in the pandemic when most things were closed and the weather was still chilly, so we were inside the house a lot--and we had a great time. It was cozy, bright, charming, and well appointed. What we needed after a long year inside our apartment in NYC. I miss the fireplace.

Great Bellport Option

Really nice, modern property. Great location, short but enjoyable walk to town (~10 minutes depending on where you're headed). The host is super nice and responsive, although you won't have many questions given the detailed instructions they've left to walk you through the check-in/out process and everything you may need in the house.

Beautiful Beach Cottage

Loved this home and the outside pool area. Location is perfect, just a stroll over to the main street- bellport is very charming. Howie was a great host, easy check in and check out, can't wait to go back. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect.

We just ended a most enjoyable week at this perfectly located house which is walkable to Bellport Village with a few shops and restaurants. It is comfortably furnished, well organized and immaculately clean. The yard and heated salt water pool are a perfect way to spend the afternoon. The modern vibe is relaxing. The host is very responsive and they left detailed (and easy) instructions about the house and information about the town. Looking forward to doing it again!

Gorgeous perfect summer getaway

The house is immaculately decorated and amazingly comfortable. We spent our entire five day stay in the salt water pool both day and night. The kitchen is well stocked and the grill served us well for meals while we were there. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, the perfect long weekend get away from the city. Owners were super responsive to questions as well although there were very few because they set it up so well. Would definitely return!

Beautiful house and garden space. Everything was immaculate and set in a great location!

We stayed over Memorial weekend 2017 with my parents, 4 year old and a newborn. The house is very well thought out and the cupboards were well stocked with absolutely everything we could possibly need. The house is beautifully designed with furniture and thoughtful artwork. This is a great home and is not your typical rental. Bellport is a great place and the house is perfectly located to reach the village, beach and marina easily. We hope to return to the house in the future!

Relaxing Retreat

This property is exactly as described and photographed. We had a wonderful stay. The owners have exquisite taste. The simple, uncluttered, contemporary decor, artwork, and overall layout are so beautiful and relaxing. The pool is absolutely wonderful. The owner was exceptionally courteous and helpful. We found everything in order on arrival and all the labeling and instructions made it easy to settle in quickly. Bellport Village is very peaceful. If you are without a car, it's fairly easy to spend the week enjoying the town and the beach at Fire Island. If you have wheels, you can certainly venture out to a winery, and/or shop for great seafood in Mastic, and farm fresh produce at the near by farm stand and cook up a fabulous meal on the outdoor BBQ. This airy cottage and its hosts/owners are wonderful!
