Description: Situated atop a mountain, at Echota on the Ridge, is this lovely 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom split-level condo (stair access only). With two levels of living space and two decks to enjoy the fresh mountain air and mountain view, the layout of this condo is one of its greatest features. The main floor features the fully stocked kitchen, living room with cozy gas log fireplace, primary bedroom and bathroom (double sinks, large soaking tub, shower stall) and half bath. The primary bedroom is spacious and inviting with the mountain view and access to the deck. The two other bedrooms and bathrooms are located downstairs as well as another deck to enjoy nature and fresh mountain air. 

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

Quiet Mountain Escape

The accommodations were fantastic, lots of easy parking, fantastic views great amenities (we utilized the indoor pool and gym) the management was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

good experience - house perfect size for 5- only concern was the limitations on paper towels and trash bags- we wanted to spend most of our time cooking meals and don’t understand how limiting those made sense -the biggest cincern was the location of the indoor hot tub and pool ir was at a different location and neither was heated - the hot tub was not even luke warm- I would have rated it a 5 if it were not for the issue with the location and warmth of the hot tub.

Amazing property!

This property was very clean and spacious. We had 3 teenage girls and they had plenty of room staying in the bunk bedroom. We all really enjoyed all of the amenities and location. I highly recommend this property. We will definitely stay here again!

Great getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Echota. Everything was beautiful and relaxing. The unit was extremely clean and decorated beautifully. The amenities were great and my son and his friend enjoyed the pool. Thanks for a great stay! We will definitely be back!

Family Friendly Property

We had an amazing time at this property. It was immaculate with regards to cleanliness. We traveled with 4 adults, 3 teenage girls ages 14-17 and a 5 year old. There was entertainment for everyone. Teenagers are usually hard to please, but they koved the bunk bed room and never complained!! This is our second time staying here and we will definitely stay here again!

Great community and clean place!

The condo was very clean and well taken care of. Full access to the pools and fitness centers are a huge bonus. The community is absolutely stunning. Only two set backs were the boxspring on the master king bed squeaked every time someone rolled over, and the pullout couch in the kids bedroom was broken which created some issues. It would be best not to count on the pull out couch feature for extra sleeping room for the kids.

Time in the Mountains

We had a wonderful week. There were so many options for things to do in the area for the kids, ages 3, 9 and 11. The furniture was very comfortable. The home is well equipped. The kids all asked if we could do this again next year. My vote would be yes!

Enjoyed the stay. The place was not very convenient to the main highway. At night and weather not fun to get to the condo (mt. Roads no lights ) I guess that goes with mountain trips.

Let It Snow

We had a great time!! The property was better than expected and there was plenty of room for all. The location was convenient to the slopes and shopping was close by as well. It snowed like crazy on us but we were so impressed with how quickly the road to the townhouse was cleared. Our late night ski group had clear roads for the steep climb to the townhouse. Overall it was great and I would stay here again!!

Clean, comfy mountain home

We had a great stay at this comfy mountain home. Very clean, well-kept. Cozy fire place, great views. Bring your own blanket to snuggle in living room. Other than that, plenty of linens, dishes cookware. Very nice! We used the community pool, jacuzzi one evening. Saw the other amenities. Great place to stay!

A wonderful summer vacation!

On a cold, blustery Buffalo, NY January day, my husband and I took to vrbo.com to see if we could find a vacation spot for the summer months. He went to App State, so we started our research in the mountains of North Carolina. We quickly came upon Foscoe Rentals and the units they offer, and we immediately booked for Echota on the Ridge, Cedar Woods, RT1 - a lovely three bedroom, three and a half bath condo. We always cross our fingers and hope for the best... and this unit was hands-down, incredible! Four adults and two children enjoyed a solid week of peace and quiet. The pictures of the unit truly do not give it justice. The views were stunning - half of the trip we were above the clouds and looking down, while the other half we were in them (my eight year-old was thrilled)! Everyone had their own space, and we came together in the common areas and kitchen frequently. The balconies were fantastic and a favorite sitting place for the adults. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed (and many items we didn't know we needed until we used them!). Linens were plentiful in all bedrooms and baths. The pools - both of which we frequented were lovely. The clubhouse on the Ridge property offered a change of scenery from the condo and another quiet place. Echota on the Ridge was relatively close to everything - we visited Mystery Hill, Blowing Rock (several times), went to Asheville twice and ziplined. Attraction brochures and maps were plentiful both in the unit and at the rental office. We will absolutely return - specifically to this unit again in the future. A wonderful trip and a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended! Thank you Foscoe Rentals!
