Beautiful home on a quiet street

Thanks for a great stay. The home was updated, clean, and quiet. We appreciated having a full kitchen to cook in. The location was really convenient for all our summertime outdoor activities.

Fresh and unusual

We appreciated this small and carefully renovated house. The kitchen space is ample and handsomeā€¦ a great place to hang out. The living room is snug and comfortable, and the bedrooms / bathrooms are very nice. Altogether pleasant and comfortable. We older folks found the stairs a little challenging, so do note if thatā€™s an issue for you.

Convenient location, great bed, super renovation

The Little Gem is as described, but possibly the photos donā€™t quite do it justice. The house is very efficiently laid out, so it feels bigger than it probably is. The master bedroom ceiling is quite high, in fact, and the room easily fits the king size bed, which is super comfy. Master bathroom shower is excellent. Nice big TV with surround sound is in the living room just off the kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need (we didnā€™t cook but there seemed to be lots of pots, pans and utensils) and the appliances are high end. There are lots of windows in the kitchen which look out onto the yard, so itā€™s a good place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. It was the perfect spot for me and my husband to spend the weekend hanging out and exploring the NY/MA area around Egremont.

What a wonderful Valentines weekend away!This house is just perfectly put together. Everything is updated with high end appliances and fixtures. The house is very clean and simply decorated. We felt so comfortable and had more amenities than we could imagine.

A beautiful haven - even in the snow

The house was everything that was advertised and more. The details throughout this modern farmhouse were amazing. Beds were super comfy! The kitchen had everything you could imagine. It was beyond clean and comfortable. Christian was extremely responsive. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful Weekend in the Berkshires

We really enjoyed the property! We had a storm the first day that knocked out power for over 24 hours. Christian got us set up with emergency power and even brought us some firewood. The location was perfect, and the house is simple, bright, and cozy. Perfect access to hiking, town, and exploring the area. Highly recommended!

Two Thumbs Up!

I recently stayed at the Little Gem on Baldwin Hill with my daughters. We couldn't have been happier with our visit. The house has been renovated with every attention to detail. The kitchen is beautifully equipped, the bathrooms are well appointed and the living spaces are bright and cheery - and all immaculately kept. The location was also a real plus for us. We were in Salisbury, CT, Great Barrington, MA, and Springfield, MA... all a quick drive from our location. Christian was super responsive and answered any question I had immediately. I definitely recommend this property and hope to return to continue exploring the beautiful Berkshires!

Cozy home for our family

We spent 4 nights at Christian's place and found it to be a great home base as we explored the Berkshires with our young kids. The house is very clean and stylish. Christian gave us some good suggestions on hikes and activities with the kids. We would love to stay there again sometime.

A little gem indeed...

This is a small but absolutely charming house. We rented for a few weekends during the ski season and the short distance to Catamount ski resort as well as the larger shops and restaurants in Great Barrington make the location ideal. The house is renovated to an extremely high standard. It cleverly combines the new technology and old world charm to provide the visitor with a very comfortable stay. The owner is very responsive to improvements and suggestions and clearly takes pride in the renovation and the upkeep of the property. Highly recommended.

Just what we were looking for!

This house, although small in size, is perfectly laid out--we loved the kitchen with its light and high-end appliances; loved the shower upstairs, and admired the design and simple furnishings. We enjoyed delicious prepared foods from Guido's Market nearby and the pizza and ice cream in Great Barrington. We were very lucky with the weather so that we could enjoy taking walks in the winter sunshine. A very nice short stay and we would definitely return.

A perfect stay!

We were charmed by this updated little house. The place was immaculate and well designed in every detail, from the modern kitchen to the sound system. Christian took great care of us, accommodating several requests before we arrived. The location is in a beautiful neighborhood with great views, and quite close to Egremont and Great Barrington shopping and restaurants. If we have one thing we would have wished for it would have been speedier internet connectivity, but we understand from speaking with neighbors that this is an area-wide problem. Other than that it was a great stay from beginning to end, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a charming place to stay in the Great Barrington area.
